Another DIS friend is at WDW right now and having her 40th birthday party in the solarium at BC.

That is an awesome cake. It would be perfect for Chris.

Speaking of Chris' birthday, I need to find the recipe for the Kitchen Sink. Hunter thinks we need to make him one instead of a birthday cake this year.

Chris asked about that, but if you are doing the challenge then they make it a specific way. It would be easier to win the challenge if it were all your favorite things.

Thank you everyone! My niece is home & all seems to be ok with her & the baby. She had a lot of blood taken so they could check levels & she is to follow up with her regular ob.

Her car is another story, but that can be fixed. My sister said a lady went through a red light & there was no time to react. She was more shaken by the airbags, said that scared her her to death when they opened.

I'm glad their doing okay. Hope everything continues to go well.

I hate when my girls are crying and I can't hug them and tell them everything will be alright. Katrina just called. Her car won't start. She had planned on coming home this afternoon. Her boyfriend rigged something up to the alternator last week-end when they went to Chicago so they could have outlets in the car. He disconnected it last night. Surprise, surprise. Now the car won't start. She told him not to rig the outlets. I don't know what all else happened last week-end but obviously he did a bunch of stuff despite her not wanting it done.

When she hung up with me, she was crying saying this was the absolute last resort. She just can't take it anymore. I told her to call Chuck at work to see if he had any ideas on how to get the car going. I suspect that Chuck and I may be driving to Marquette today to pick her up with or without her car.

I'm glad she got it started finally. I hope this is the final push she needs to make the right decision. :grouphug:

My interview went well on Thursday....I REALLY WANT THIS JOB!!! I should know by Tuesday.

For all of you I missed :grouphug::flower3: and :wizard: to you all. I have been extremely busy with the band the last couple of days...they have advanced to state Semi-finals (by the skin of their teeth) and actually improved point wise today at DCMI. Cassidy loved our campus visit to the University of Northern Colorado. Cassidy was the host for the UNC band on Monday evening and contacted the director Tuesday and was able to arrange to sit in on one of his classes...Conducting. We then had a lunch break...being broke I had packed a lovely picnic lunch which Jim left here:headache: so we ended up at McDonald's:sick: and I now know where a LOT of the bathrooms are on campus. :rotfl2: I am so not ready for Cassidy to be hit on by college guys. :lmao:

I have been home about 2 hours a day all week....I am so ready for tomorrow...a do nothing day....except laundry. :rotfl:

Lots of :wizard: that Tuesday brings the best of news. I'm glad the band did well today and :yay: for a good college visit!

Good evening, DDA!

We've been busy as always this weekend. I had GS Camping Procedures training this morning. I can no officially take girls camping. I'll probably do the actual overnight training in April with one of my coleaders and maybe Kassie's old leader, but now we can do a neighborhood camp event which I think will be a good first camping experience for my Brownies. The rest of the afternoon I spent watching Kaylin and getting the house ready for company. Then, Kristi's inlaws all came over for dinner. Nothing too fancy, just taco soup, but we have more space here. It was loud and chaotic and fun. Plus, I got to hand with the little baby for awhile so, I was happy. :teeth:

Tomorrow I've got to teach the kids at church and then a glorious nothing! Hopefully, the sunny weather will continue so I can have a few minutes to enjoy it.

Thank you Becky! Bob loves the outfit, he laughed when we opened it...Alex is going to grow orange and black stripes with all these Tigger items! :rotfl:

Glad to hear you got it. You are welcome! My Aunt who just got married loves Tigger, as well. I was looking for Goofy stuff as well but didn't seem to find anything.

Vicki did Katrina make it home?

Elin cute cake, bet Chanon would love that!

Deb my boys hate wearing winter coats. I would rather be warm than worry about style myself lol

Tammi this is just the beginning of those lovely phone calls

I know I missed a lot but my mind seems to not be functioning yet this morning so :wizard: & to all.

Vicki did Katrina make it home?

No, she called and told us that she wanted to stay and go to a hockey game. She needed to have fun! I'm afraid that we "lost" the chance once again. They get closer & closer together though so it should just be a matter of time now.

Thanks ladies. We are taking an impromtu trip 12/17-12/22. We are staying off property :scared1:. Dana got a great marriott deal with his rewards points & free nights on top of the reward points so it costs $0 to stay for 5 nights so we jumped on it.

I booked the Candelight Processional last night for 12/20. The narrater is Whoopi Goldberg. Our other choice was on the 21st which was Brian Dennehy. That would be fine but I thought my kids would get a kick out seeing Whoopi, they don't know who Brian D is. We have never done this before. I got a 2:20pm lunch at Chefs de France for a 5pm CP. Does that sound good to those of you who have done the CP before?

Elin, Hopefully we can meet up to say Hi somewhere along the line.
