Elizabeth did the good report card help your mood?

Amy - I hope Kevin isn't isn't in much pain, and that he is over it soon.

Deb - you sound as busy as me!

Anne Marie - I'm glad the shots are out of the way. My kids are getting their's tomorrow. They do pretty good.

Elizabeth - very good report card!

The weather here has turned drastically cooler. We went from 85 on Saturday to 60 today, way below average. Brrrr.

I thought it was silly how late they started the game.....it was bitter cold (again) by the time it started....today should be better...which means we should win!!
Watching it now! hopefully ill actually be able to stay up for the whole game!
Kevin wasn't feeling too hot though...thought he had a earache related to some sinus issues, but yesterday he started breaking out in spots on his face, and it turns out he has shingles. Poor guy! We're praying it's a mild case and his pain/tingling doesn't last too long, especially since it's attacked facial nerves.
o no, hope he feels better!

I just got home from a good Monday! We had work, but half day with the kids and the rest of the day was meetings/workshops. But after work, I went to a friends house (she just got a new apartment) and we planned a disney trip! We will be going June 30-July 5 for my friend's wedding.. We decided to stay a few extra days :) She also asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding! Now im home and watching the Phillies!

Hi,

I posted pictures over on Facebook

I know not all of you are on Facebook. I will post some here later. I am heading to bed. I could not sleep last night. I gave up on sleeping and I got up around 5amish and got ready and went to work I got there around 6:45am. It was about 37 degrees this morning. So it has been a long day.

Amy- I hope Kevin quickly gets over the shingles.

I hope everyone else is doing well.:thumbsup2

Thank you, Tammi, for the totally dittoable post!

Becky - I could not sleep last night either. I laid down at 6:30 this morning thinking I would take a 2 hour nap, but no luck. I am ready for bed now! I hope we both sleep better tonight!

Jen - Is that going to be a Disney wedding?!

Becky great wedding pictures!

Jen yay for a Disney trip & a wedding to boot!

I didn't sleep well last night either. I had an upset tummy and it is still a bit upset. Oh well, I've worked the first job and will work again tonight. I do plan a nap soon though.

I woke up to pouring rain and have seen everything from light rain to heavy flurries this morning :confused3 Very weird weather for this time of year. When I got out of work you could see layers on the horizon, rainy bottom layer, then fog, then snowy top layer. If it weren't for the fog there would be some amazing foliage shots with the vibrant trees at the bottom and snow covered ones at the top.

Thank you for your prayers and good wishes for Kevin.

Unfortunately, he is worse today. I've never seen him so sick, and the pain and numbness has taken over the entire left side of his face. Obviously, he couldn't go to work today...he can barely talk.

If anyone has any experience with this and can offer advice, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Hope you all have a good day!

Amy, I'm sorry Kevin is so much worse today. Unfortunately I don't have anything to offer you, other than sending prayers for a quick recovery. :wizard:

I just added a breakfast at Boma on our last day. I'm thinking we will be going to Epcot that day, so it was either Boma or Cape May. Boma for breakfast will be new for us.

I've also been monkeying around with rental cars codes. I got a midsize with Enterprise for $160, which beats my compact with National. That one was $203. I'm hoping that as January gets closer I can even get a better deal.

Amy - I am sorry that Kevin's condition has gotten worse. The only person I know who has had shingles is oybolshoi here on the DIS and she was miserable for quite a while. Poor Kevin.

:yay:

I wish rates were going down of December, but they are ridiculously high... $900 for a mid-size we normally pay less than $300 for. :confused3 That is another reason we are still planning to drive!

Amy,
:wizard: for Kevin.
Dana had shingles at 30 & it was very painful. Katie had chicken pox in day care & he had never had chicken pox so of course he got it & it worsened into full blown shingles. He was down for the count for a week. Dana is one to go go go all the time but the shingles knocked him out. He rested & stayed home until he felt ok, like I said maybe a week.

Dana had a ferocious fever as well. I would contact the Dr again if Kevin has a fever.

Hoping he recovers fast.
