No Columbus Day here. Work and school, just like normal. And I am still cranky.

Anne Marie, ADRs switch back to 180 on 10/27. Congrats on your room! :thumbsup2

Good morning. :)

Today is a GOOD Monday. No school. No work. :teeth:

Anne Marie - Congrats on the great discount. I believe they have a Mass at the CR Convention Center, which would be really convenient for you. You are going to need to figure out your ADRs soon. It switches back to 180 days sometime this month.

Thanks! That would be convenient.:thumbsup2

We have school today.

I know, me & a bazillion others people will be calling that day, I am sure it will be crazy. We will be driving that day to Disney so I won't have internet in the car & unable to use the online booking system. I have to make a list & then a few backups in case we can't get what we want.

Anyone have a nice place for Easter dinner? Maybe Citricos?

My kids have turned into dining snobs. They would love to go back to Citricos or Flying Fish, but we have more places to try out. Like Yachtsman.

Since you will be at the CR, how about Cali Grill or The Wave? Of course, Citricos or Narcoossee's is convenient too.

Tammi,

:lmao: (dining snobs!) That's cute!!!

We have Cali Grill booked for our anniversary & the wave too for our trip in 2 weeks. I gave Chef Mickey's the boot this trip for the wave.

Flying Fish, Yachtsman, and Citrico's are my top 3.

Cali Grill was too rushed, and the entrees were REALLY salty when we went in August.

Narcoosee's just doesn't do anything for me. Our server was just "eh", the food was just "eh". I will say I was hemming and hawing between 2 entrees. Maybe the other one would have made a better experience. But then again, maybe not.

I am pretty sure Cali Grill and Narcoosee's will not make our dining "must do" list for 2010.

good morning all!
I stayed up way too late to watch the phillies game and didnt even make it to the end ( i think it ended at 215!). Now its off to a half day of teaching and a half day of meetings..ugh!

I thought it was silly how late they started the game.....it was bitter cold (again) by the time it started....today should be better...which means we should win!!

Good Morning All!!

Band is winding down, so that means the amount of time spent at it is ramping up.

I will go help all day at the Regionals...it's warmer today:cool1: than Saturday (but that didn't take much:rotfl:) and the bands HAVE to perform so hopefully they will have a lot of people watching them.

Hope everybody has great days!!

Hi DDA! :wave2:

We had a nice weekend get-away, though it was a bit of a whirlwind and we're all dragging today. I'm glad we were able to spend time with most of my family. :goodvibes

Kevin wasn't feeling too hot though...thought he had a earache related to some sinus issues, but yesterday he started breaking out in spots on his face, and it turns out he has shingles. Poor guy! We're praying it's a mild case and his pain/tingling doesn't last too long, especially since it's attacked facial nerves.

Now, nobody's allowed to go to my ultrasound on Thursday. :sad1:

Hope you all are having a good Monday!

They don't call it Columbus day here, its an in-service.

I hope Kevin gets better quick. Hope there is no pain.

Hal's Dad and his grandmother each had it a few times. My son in law got the shingles on his legs. Big red splotches. Being out in the sun helped a lot this summer.

Hi DDA!! Long time no post. I've been reading along, but life is A LOT upside down right now.

Sending everyone lots and lots of good thoughts.:goodvibes

I definatlly do not like allergies this week. sneezing and coughing sore tummy do not mix.

IWe've been having some "issues" with Lizzy doing her school work. Last Wednesday her Social Studies teacher called to find out why she hadn't turned in a project that was due Monday. I emptied her backpack yesterday to find her assignment book, which wasn't there:headache:, and found 2 weeks worth of missing assignments from her homeroom teacher. She didn't get one this week because they were off Friday. AND a math test that she has to have us sign and return (can't get out of her when she got that)-she got a 93 on it so it wasn't a grade thing all kids have to bring it back. I can't believe her lack of concern over this stuff. I have told her that she better step up and get on it all because if we get any other reports she certainly can't miss any school to go to Disney.:sad2:

Hope she comes around quickly. I always have the be the bad guy so I understand!

I have been looking for somewhere to stay after the cruise in March. It's so expensive (Easter is 4/4) to stay at Disney during this time & I kept asking myself "do I want to pay a premium to go when its that crowded?" Well I checked using our Mariott points for a free stay but I am afraid of staying off property at such a busy time with the possibility of not getting into a park. So I called yesterday & asked what (if any) was the AAA rate at the AS familu suites. I got a quote & then after 30 minutes of the CM poking around (she was great) she found the CR garden wing with a AAA discount which was only $100 more than the family suites at the all star music. So we booked that & I am happy. I would love an AP discount but I am glad I got any discount. So now the plan is to be at Disney on Easter. I have to go see what services are offered during the day.

We had a rather bad week here last week (problem with a bully in school) so this was a nice thing to bring our spirits up.

YEAH!!! Hope your school issue is no longer and issue.

Poor Kevin! I hope he's feeling better ASAP.

Hope it's nothing too major, but just busy.

I agree! I was just getting over a cold when my last attack hit. That coughing and sneezing was not helping!

Amy my mom got shingles quite often & was in so much pain. I hope Kevin is better soon :wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard:

No school here today for Columbus day, so the boys had a 4 day weekend! Teachers something on Friday lol

Just got home..took the kids to get their flu shots. That was fun, lets just say my girls do not like needles. Daniel was very brave.:thumbsup2

Hello :wave2:

I hope everyone is doing well. I've managed to read along, but I've been too tired or too busy to post.

Six Flags was fun, but very very cold. It was also packed so we didn't do any of the "good" rides. Bizarro had a 2 - 4 hour wait :confused3 Nothing like giving a concrete estimate :lmao: The park had quite a few halloween decorations, but it wasn't as good as we had anticipated. The fright factor was nil unless you wanted to pay $13 extra for the 2 haunted houses :sad2: They had one tiny treat trail and they charged a $1 "donation" to go on it. very little candy and a few costumed employees. We were glad we went to check it out since it was included in our seasons pass, but we would not buy a day pass for it. The shows were very lame though the boys did get to participate in one of them.

Sunday was spent cutting trees and hauling wood. We did that from 9 am - 4 pm. The weather was perfect for working out doors and hopefully we're done with wood for this year though we do need to work on the Maple orchard which will result in more wood  Last night I took the 2 little ones to the pool as they wanted to try out their new snorkeling equipment (clearance :thumbsup2) They did pretty well after they got the hang of it.
The rest of the night was spent on laundry and cleaning as was today. I really need to devote time into our house, it seems that I'm rarely home long enough to clean these days. Things are looking better tonight though.

My boss hasn't done the schedule for this week yet so I have no idea which nights I'm working. Apparently the restaurant has been so busy he hasn't had time (or he spends way too much time talking to his buddies)

Chris is camping this weekend with cub scouts and Hunter is tagging along. It is supposed to snow. That means we need to pack carefully as they need to stay warm and dry. The snow will turn to rain and turn back depending on the time of day. We do have good 0 degree sleeping bags so hopefully those will be warm enough.

Busy, busy, busy Deb! Glad you all had a good time this weekend.

Anne Marie I do not know to many people that are fond of needles lol Glad you got that out of the way!

Amy, I hope Kevin feels better soon!

Anne Marie, I had that mist this year and I like the needle MUCH better.

Report cards today - 4 A's and 3 B's.
