My friend's brother was found. She posted the following on Facebook about 5 hours ago.

"They found my brother! He's hypothermic & disoriented, but alive. Thank you all so much for your support & prayers. It truly is a miracle."

That happened twice and lasted for about a week each time. This time it has been over two and a half months for some with no pay. That is just crazy.

It is crazy. Between the budget wackiness and the fact the economy is just plain icky, I am truly seeing the impact on the girls, volunteers and areas I serve and it is not good.

Great news about you friends brother.

We're still running the AC here, but the past few days have been wonderful, it should be a long time before we turn on the heat.


Brandon's team won again Tuesday, 28 - 0, he's come a long way since last year, he recovered two fumbles and ran for a touchdown so we took him out for Mexican to celebrate.

I have to go in to work for a few hours this morning and we'll head out this afternoon, Elin - we'll see you soon, I guess I'll have to wait and see if we'll be having lunch with Bob or Tammi.

Rabbit, rabbit! Of course I forgot to say it last night.

DS's schedule is crazy. He is supposed to have play rehearsal every day Mon - Thur. Next week there is a football game Mon the Band has to go to, Tues is Band practice, Wed is Improv class, and Thur is Band practice AGAIN. I told DS 3 days out of 4 is WAY too many to have Band conflicting with play practice. He won't go to play rehearsal at all of Wednesday, which they know. The other days he will split with Band, or he will skip Band. Sectional practice is just not that big of a deal - the other kids don't show up on a regular basis so it's not like there is much benefit!

The community theater where he takes classes called me yesterday to ask him to audition for the Christmas show, but he has no room in his schedule. And that is the one he would have to miss 7 mornings of school to perform.

Debbie, have a safe drive and a terrific trip!!!

Elin, in case I miss you for some reason, have a wonderful trip, too!!!

Vicki, I hope the budget gets sorted out quickly!

I think it is fairly safe to say it will be Bob. He is located only an hour north of the Baltimore airport, so they have promised he will either be home tonight or they will have him meet me at the airport tomorrow morning at 7:00.
