I am sorry for too! It is extraordinary and we love it. If you happen to see see the framework up when you head to Epcot, let us know! But I have been reading that it is not up yet and usually is by now.

I didn't see it Saturday, Epcot didn't have any Christmas up yet at all, but then the F&W was still going.

John has finally agreed to ride Splash Mountian this trip! :woohoo: Thought I was going to have break down and ride it by myself.

I'll ride it with you, I LOVE Splash!

The good news about the weather is it's supposed to clear up by Thursday in time for our party!

I am reading rumors many places that the Lights of Winter in Epcot may not be there this year. :(

I hope they do have it. It's so pretty & a nice entry to WS.

:yay:

It has been a close one, that's for sure!

Whew! thankfully the cowboys pulled it out...it was so back adn forth!

Good morning! Well, due to the cowboys game, i was up entirely too late and now am exhausted..but its a good thing they won, it makes the tired not feel so bad hahaha

Hope you all have a great day

I don't want to spoil it for anyone but I thought TS3 was supposed to be about Buzz Lightyear being recalled not Andy going to college & the toys going somewhere else....:confused3

I think that was the original storyline when Disney was working on it on their own. After the Disney-Pixar merger the Pixar people nixed that story line and they started working on a new one. (The nix also come about the same time as all of the China recalls so it might have been a good thing for multiple reasons.)

NOOOOO!!!!! That is one of my favorite things. I hope Debbie's "F&WF" comment explains this absence so far. It needs to be there this year so it's a better chance to see it next year.

Good morning. :)
Today we are going to the Superbowl. Nicholas wants to go and cheer on the team that they lost to last weekend. He has some friends on that team, so it should be fun.

Alex lost his game this Saturday in the 2nd round playoffs. We had to play another Grayson Ram team. It is always difficult to play against your friends from your same association. But...they beat us good 18 - 0. I'm not sure I can go watch them play on Saturday. Alex said he wants them to lose but I told him he had a bad attitude about it. I told him it would benefit the Grayson Football Association if one of our teams won the championship. Of course he didn't see it that way.....:thumbsup2 thumbs-up for Nicholas for being a good sport.

Good morning, DDA!

So yesterday morning, I was feeling not quite with it. Took it easy during the morning, plus took an hour to myself in the evening and I was starting to feel better. Then, it was a drama-filled night here last night and an early morning this morning - now I'm back to square one. Argh! I just can't win sometimes. Today is a long one as Kristi and Chris both work late so I have their kids from noon to 9:30. Which means I had better get moving as I've got to hit the grocery store this morning and then probably help take mom's car into the shop sometimes as well.

Have a great day everyone!

Have I mentioned lately that I hate Mondays?

4 out of the last 5 Mondays have greeted us with problems at the Aquatic Center. Today we arrived to find the air temperature in one of the rooms (the Competition Pool) at 59 degrees, it is normally 82 degrees. The other room is normally kept around 89 degrees and it was at 72. Apparently it was so hot in there yesterday that they decided to open the roof and no one remembered to close it. I spent the first hour in my parka, then found a sweatshirt in lost and found that I wore the rest of the morning. Temperatures were back up to normal just in time for me to leave. Plus the water quality sucked and the deck smelled since there were 600 kids competing there over the weekend. I felt like I need a hat that said complaint department:upsidedow The good news is that Monday is over for this week (as far as the Aquatic Center goes). Now I can get some things done around here, take a really needed nap and get ready to work tonight. Is it July yet? :confused3

Good morning, everyone! What a crazy, busy weekend!

We spent all day Saturday working on little projects around the house. Alan replaced the sheetrock in our basement family room and bathroom that collapsed when our fridge leaked. Now, he will spend this week texturing and painting. I deep cleaned the kitchen in preparation for Thanksgiving, and the kids raked the leaves and put them all in the garden for compost! I've got to spend this week washing walls, and general tidying up. A little bit every day and it's not so overwhelming!

Saturday night, Alan and I took Jacob out for his birthday dinner. He was positive that he wanted crab (never had it before), so we took him to Joe's Crab Shack. He and Alan split a steam pot and he loved it!!! He felt so grown up! Unfortunately, though, the food took forever to get to us, so we missed the movie that he wanted to see. We promised to take him this weekend, instead.

Yesterday was his actual birthday. I think he had a good day! He got a Bionicle, some Bakugan stuff, and the lego Indiana Jones game for the Wii! We didn't see him for the rest of the day after he saw that! Talk about a winner! I made him his favorite meal: salmon patties, and after dinner we had "The Ultimate Chocolate Layer Reese's Peanut Butter Cake". It was amazing!!! Talk about a sugar rush! Then we settled in and watched his favorite movie: Transformers. Not my favorite, but he loved having everyone watch it with him.

Today, I was supposed to go to jury duty, but the case was settled, so I'm off the hook for a while. My "term" ends at the end of the year, so I've got more time that I could be called for duty. I don't mind, but I'd hate to have to do it during the holidays when I should be shopping. With that in mind, I'll be heading out today to try to knock some stuff off my list. I've picked up a few things here and there, but need to really buckle down.

Anne Marie - I loved your TR. You all looked so happy! I'm sorry it's over!

Deb - I hope things calm down at work so you don't get so stressed!

Theresa - Great buy!!! I'd love that cookbook!!!

Debbie - Hope the trip is enjoyable, even with TMJ. Hope the pain meds help!

Heidi - I hope you have a great trip! I can't wait to hear all about it!

Tammi - Do you think my 7 year old girls would be able to handle Christmas Carol? I'm torn about taking them.

Amy - How is Kevin feeling???

Have a great day, everyone!

Good morning, DDA! :)

Pixie and I are headed to the mall this AM. Let's hope I can work the stroller. I will have to allow extra time to get in the car when we are leaving to go get Princess. I need to exchange the jeans that I bought for DS at Gap. I bought 2 pairs for him, and one pair is easily 2 inches longer than the other. :headache: Nice quality control there, Gap. Of course I didn't notice until AFTER I washed them, but you know what? I think that counts as a defect! He tried on the one pair, and I grabbed another identical (supposedly) pair from the shelf. I called Gap and they said I can bring them back, so there better not be any issues.

I also bought him a North Face jacket which he doesn't want and won't appreciate so I'll return it and buy him a CHEAP one that he can lose and I won't care. :rolleyes1

I am still trying to decide if I am going to buy myself a pair of Uggs. There were some super cute ones in the Nordstrom ad. I hadn't thought much about them before, but now Kristine is making me think I need some. ;)

Hmm. That "special" AP shopping day is also a "special" DVC member shopping day. Can I just say that I will NOT be getting up at 4 AM and dragging myself to DTD? NOT worth it!!

Last year it was a mass confusion. It ended up that you could find the same stuff in the stores at the resorts and in the parks. People were rude and pushing all over the place. We were glad we didn't go.

Terry, I heard it was a madhouse last year. I don't really like the WOD store on a normal day so i am sure I would be VERY unhappy during a "special" event!
