Another question, here.

If I have things on layaway, and I get a sale paper showing lower prices for stuff I've got on layaway, will I get the sale price? I've got some stuff on layaway at Kmart, and am wondering if I should have waited until after Black Friday, or if I will get the black friday prices. Anyone know?

If the stuff is on layaway and you pick it up and it happens to be on clearance or sale the day you pick it up you can get it for that price. (At least it used to be that way)

As for a Black Friday thing....get it on Black Friday and take it out of your layaway the next day. Unless, they charge for changing layaways now.

It would just be a one time thing. Just to get us ready for the holidays. I want my kids to learn how to do the deep cleaning, and not just the surface stuff they usually do, but I feel really overwhelmed right now, and this might be helpful.
Go for it!

Let's see if I can catch up properly:

Welcome Home Anne Marie and family!!

Debbie-I was really hoping you'd feel better, if not 100%, by now

Glynis-go for the deep cleaning!! It might be the impetus you (and the kids) need to get it completely ready for Grandpa

Tia-I am sorry, and so understand, about your in laws

Janet-my interview is in 4 hours...can't get hired until after that. :rotfl:

My e-mail is being wonky so I've lost a couple of messages I've started to write (it will all of the sudden close that window and every other window) so hopefully this one will go through.

As if I could handle anymore crud....the tv in my room has completely died I think.

I don't need a fancy tv in there but I do need something, as that's where the girls and I go to get away from Jim and to allow him to sleep on the couch...it's also where we watch movies. It's also how I fall asleep at night, as I need the white noise.

well last week Virginia was having an upset tummy. then it stopped. Then sun it started up again but worse.

Well last night Olivia and I got hit with it.

pixiedust: that things turn around soon for everyone and that you all can get to your happy place (WDW) soon.

Jennifer, hope you and the girls feel better soon. :wizard:

Jennifer, I hope you all feel better soon!

Theresa, sorry your TV is kaput!

I actually ran errands this AM instead of sitting around being lazy. That never happens. I felt bad that DH had to mess with taking DS to that All City Band thing last night, so I figured I would go get coffee and cat food so he wouldn't have to do it when he got home from work.

They got home by about 7:40, which was WAY earlier than I expected them to be home. DS said he did well on the snare, but he messed up on the bells and the timpani.

What chaps me is that the band director is CONSTANTLY saying percussion players can NOT play drums exclusively. Yet he NEVER takes the time to work with the kids on bells! :headache: We don't HAVE bells at home! How is he supposed to practice on bells if all they EVER do at school is DRUMS? Whatever.

They didn't stay for the results to be posted but DS is pretty sure he did NOT make it into All City Band. Which would simplify our schedule so I'm cool with that.;)

Debbie - Here's hoping your real doctor can figure out a game plan for your sinuses! This has gone on way too long!

Anne Marie - Welcome back! I can't wait to hear all about the trip! Pictures too, if ya got 'em!

Tammi - Thanks for the reminder. I'm heading out to vote, as soon as the kids leave this morning!

It's looking to be another beautiful day here. Hopefully, I can get some errands run! I would rather stay at home, but there are things that need to be done outside of the house! Timothy is a great companion in the car, lately. He babbles and giggles and I love to just listen to him. It's hard to believe that a whole year has gone by already! I hate that he's growing up so fast, but that's life!

So, I have a question for y'all. Alan and I have never used a cleaning service for our house, but he found a company yesterday that will clean the living areas of my house plus 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms for 80 dollars. This would be very deep cleaning. Alan's thought is that we should do it, since I'm running myself ragged doing my own homework, keeping on top of the kid's homework, making dinners, doing laundry, etc. Something inside me balks at hiring someone else to clean my house, but with Dad coming for Thanksgiving, I'm wondering if I should. Opinions????

Don't give it another thought, just do it!!!!!:dance3::yay:

I'm home. It was slow as I expected. This time of year is notoriously slow as people are starting to realize that the holidays are around the corner so they start staying home to save money. On a good note, I was offered the Tuesday night bartender shift through the end of the year. That is paid hourly at a higher wage plus tips for any meals I serve at the Bar. Hopefully this will make up the difference. I will aslo keep 2 or more waitshifts. I need to get to saving up some money for our summer vacation or it won't be happening

Thanks for all the input. I think I'm going to go ahead and have Alan schedule us with the cleaning company. It will just take my stress level down a few notches, and allow us to finish up some projects that will need some time.

I guess I've felt that it was somehow "cheating" to use a cleaning service when I'm home all day (although I don't spend much time at home). Still with 5 kids the house need some tending. I'm just going to put my discomfort aside, and deal with having a deeply cleaned house.
