The concert was AWESOME! And I was glad to see that there were lots of boys there. We went about halfway and stopped at Bertucci's for dinner (brick oven pizza), my favorite pizza place. Then we headed into DC and got there about 6:40. The opening act, Metro Station, started at 7 but since we don't know anything they sing, except for one song, we stood in line for half an hour so Alyssa could get a tshirt. We sat in time to see about 3 of their songs, then there was a 20 minute intermission before Miley came out. We had fabulous seats, but the best part was her closing song, when Alyssa was standing on the seat, hugging me, and we were singing The Climb, right along with Miley, at the top of our lungs. The ENTIRE venue was singing along as well. I parked strategically so we were on the road 12 minutes after the concert was over. We made great memories tonight.

What a wonderful night Tammi!!!

Elizabeth... my trip is 30 days away and I have located my suitcase.:dance3::dance3::dance3:
:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Good morning. :)

There is another field trip in my future today, but at least it's local. Alyssa's class is going to the Rappahannock River. What they are going to do there, I don't know. Study the environment or something, I guess. The weather is going to be good for it though.

Have a great day!
Have fun!

YAY!!
We stuck our carry-ons under the bed instead of nesting them in the big suitcases when we came back in August.

Tammi, I am glad you guys had a wonderful time at the concert!
DS has never asked to go to a concert. He only likes bands from the 50's & 60's, so most of them have died or disbanded. I am in the process of working out a subscription to the Music Hall so we can see Wicked, Phantom, Color Purple, and Rain (the Beatles thing).

Good morning :)

Glynis hiring the cleaner for a day is a wonderful idea!

Debbie glad you found out what is causing your pain & discomfort, hope this is taken care of quickly :wizard:

Jennifer hope you & the girls are better soon :wizard:

Deb yea for getting to bartend & extra money!

Tammi sounds like you had a wonderful evening :goodvibes

First the plain vanilla ice cream, then the math trouble, now I find out he likes the same music as me. If I didn't know any better I would think he was my son. ;)

I will remember to offer him to you the next time I want to strangle him. ;)

ALL of the music he buys on iTunes is old. The Ventures, Herman's Hermits, The Who, The Hollies, I can't think of the others. He has me burn the songs to CD so he can drum to them.

Here are some pictures from our trip.

We got to Disney & went to DTD. Dinner at Wolfgang Pucks & dessert at Goofy's.

We stayed in a Marriott that night. The next day we would check into the Contemporary. This was our first look coming in.
The kids & I were screaming when we came in. Dana just humors us.:rotfl:

We went to check in. It was around 8am & we were told that our room was ready. The CM's gave us Anniversary buttons & off we went to our room. We had a MK view on the 7th floor away from Chef Mickey's. We could not hear the "celebrating" going on at Chef Mickey's but we could feel when the monorail entered the building which was kinda cool. I knew I would like the CR but I did not realize how much. The convenience, room decor, view, staff, & eateries & shops made it for a a great stay...The new additions to the pool made it alot of fun. A+ for the CR.

The only downside to it was the housekeeping or lack thereof. Absolutely the worst we have ever encountered. With that said we enjoyed our stay & would love to return.

Oh by the way, Katie & I went to the Princess Diana dress exhibit. Katie is very into dress design & she really got alot out of it. They only had 5 of Diana's dresses there but alot of newspaper clippings, magazine covers, & memorabilia. I adored Diana when she was alive & I remembered all of her gowns. Katie didn't know really who she was but loved the exhibit just as much.

That is from our balcony 7th floor on the opposite side of Chef Mickeys.

What an awesome view!

BTW I hope you don't mind but this is now my new desktop background :)
Thanks & I am honored!!! :)

Great pictures Anne Marie

Right now she is treating the TMJ with muscle relaxers, anti inflamatory, and pain meds. Mine was caused by trauma and not mis alignment so I won't be wearing a device, hopefully it will heal soon. For now it's the meds, no gum, and try to avoid foods that require a lot of chewing. I guess it's gonna be cheese soup for me at Le Cellier.

I took the muscle relaxer last night before going to bed, she gave me the option of one or two depending on how I felt, I took two, and this morning I couldn't get up, so I stayed home from work and am just now trying to move around, needless to say tonight it's gonna be just one.

Nice pictures Ann Marie, glad you had a nice time.

Thanks for all the input. I think I'm going to go ahead and have Alan schedule us with the cleaning company. It will just take my stress level down a few notches, and allow us to finish up some projects that will need some time.

I guess I've felt that it was somehow "cheating" to use a cleaning service when I'm home all day (although I don't spend much time at home). Still with 5 kids the house need some tending. I'm just going to put my discomfort aside, and deal with having a deeply cleaned house.

I think it's a good plan, Glynis, and you shouldn't feel guilty! With having just finished up some classes on top of all of the rest, there's no reason not to enjoy one bit of help giving you a headstart on the holidays!

Now, that's my kind of music!

I hope that does the trick and that you are feeling better soon, Debbie!

Nice pictures Anne Marie. Don't you just love that balcony view?! Heidi, hopefully your stay at BLT will yield the same view!
