Heidi - I am so sorry to hear about your aunt.

Well I'm now on maternity leave per my midwife's instructions. Even though my BP is normal and no protein in the urine, the swelling in my feet and legs have her concerned. I got her to agree to let me work out the week and that's it. Depressing - because now I feel like I'm cutting into "baby time". Sucks big time.
Other than that, I'm still only 1 cm and 60%. Let's hope this baby starts doing it's thing this week!!!

I know it has to be hard. But, think of it as the last few days you can spend on your own for a very, very, very, very, VERY long time! :teeth:

Last night I was showing Emma some photos from our 2nd family trip in Oct 2004 when she was about 21 months old. In one photo from CP she was eating brocoli. I made sure to point that out to my picky eater now who eats white food and hot dogs. Without skipping a beat she says "Mommy, my taste buds weren't grown yet!":lmao:

That is adorable!

Thanks for the ideas everyone. :teeth: I've been living on my yoga ball, we had taco pizza for dinner and will have to google the foot spot. As for Denise's last suggestion - Bob won't come near me. I think he's afraid of hurting either me or the baby and I can't push the subject anymore with him.

Phil was the same way! Sorry that you're home now, but (s)he'll be here soon enough. Enjoy your time off and take it easy. Can't wait!!!!

Heidi - My sympathies and thoughts to your family. :grouphug:

Well, our latest busy day of the week is now over. Tomorrow isn't too bad...I am hosting a Scout recruitment meeting tomorrow morning for homeschoolers and Terra has a library class in the afternoon. After that, we're empty and our Friday is a blank canvas (knock on wood!). Ooohhh! And I just checked and Sat only holds an hour long cooking class for Terra, which even better....equals an hour of quiet for me!

Of course, in there I've got to see what I can figure with my/Terra's troop. My co-leader is driving up the wall and upsets me again with each new email. As much as I hate to admit it, I just don't know if I can make our personalities mesh with me as the leader. I'm going to talk to my other co-leader tomorrow (her troop from last year and ours merged for this year) and see what advice/ideas she has. Depending on that and how the next meeting goes, I may go ahead and move us out of that troop. I am leading Kassie's 2nd grade troop so I'll just officially register Terra with them and let the current co-leaders assume our 1st grade troop. I really like working with these girls and I really hate to think of abandoning the troops, but I also don't want the issues I feel exist to put any damper on their year either. I know it sounds silly, but any prayers or pixie dust for the wisdom to do the right thing for all involved, but especially the girls, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, guys!

Oh yeah, one last thing before I head to bed...We had such a good time with Wendy, Michael and Danae today. It's amazing how far Michael has come since I first read his Make a Wish trip report and first met them here just before his big surgery almost 2 years ago. He's grown a lot, matured some and is improving in lots of ancillary ways as well now that the major issues are resolved and/or able to be better managed.

Lindsay and Austin you are in my thoughts and prayers this morning :hug: I can't wait to see pictures.

Good morning! :)

It's baby day!

I'm thinking of you this morning, Lindsay!

Chanon - sorry that you are going on maternity leave early, without the baby yet. Try cranberry juice too!

Tia - prayers and :wizard:

Chanon hopefully the little one will decide its time to come soon.

Chanon, didn't you just get a pedicure? Go back and tell her to get things going! :goodvibes

Who's watching Glee with me this season? :)

Pedicure will be tomorrow after my last day of work. I was able to at least convince her to let me finish out the week at work if I kept my feet up a lot more than normal... ;) so I'm really gonna try. I wonder how much I should be "off my feet" when I'm at home...I never really clarified that with her...can I take walks? She didn't say I was on bedrest, just to keep my feet up...
I plan on stopping at Walmart too and picking up a pineapple.

Bob and I saw the preview and it was HILAROUS! We'll be watching Glee here!

Good luck today Lindsay!!! Can't wait to hear about Austin's arrival. :cheer2:
