DDA Chapter 22

Well I'm now on maternity leave per my midwife's instructions. Even though my BP is normal and no protein in the urine, the swelling in my feet and legs have her concerned. I got her to agree to let me work out the week and that's it. Depressing - because now I feel like I'm cutting into "baby time". Sucks big time.
Other than that, I'm still only 1 cm and 60%. Let's hope this baby starts doing it's thing this week!!!

 Take care of yourself, hopefully the baby will arrive soon.

spicy food, sit on an exercise ball and bounce, and sex!

Chanon, that's a bummer. I understand how you feel about cutting into your leave time with the baby to sit and wait. :guilty:

Be careful about eating anything spicy. Be careful about eating anything you do not want to see in reverse during labor. :rolleyes1 I wasn't allowed to eat since I was an induction, but I still threw up. It was not pretty.

Supposedly there is a spot on your foot that releases oxytocin if you rub it. I am sure you can Google it. Make Bob give you a nice foot massage. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the ideas everyone. :teeth: I've been living on my yoga ball, we had taco pizza for dinner and will have to google the foot spot. As for Denise's last suggestion - Bob won't come near me. I think he's afraid of hurting either me or the baby and I can't push the subject anymore with him.

Chanon I know you were hoping to work a little longer, but now you will have some time to get ready for baby!

Does he not realize he should jump at the chance now. Once baby is here, who knows when you will feel up to it again :lmao:

Chanon, didn't you just get a pedicure? Go back and tell her to get things going! :goodvibes

Who's watching Glee with me this season? :)

:rotfl:Bob is missing out. Chris likes to tell everyone that we had more sex getting the boys out then we did putting them in there :rotfl:

Jennifer - I wish you could have been my nurse tonight! That is exactly what they were to be doing - but it took until there was a shift change to realize they didn't draw a vial for that test - all they had sent to the labs was my preadmittance stuff! And to top it all off my first nurse stuck me 3 times before getting blood - I've never had that problem!

We were finally sent home about 4 hours after getting there. My labs were slightly elevated in a couple of spots, but my BP went down, so we're on pace for Thurs around 7 am or so. I'll check in tomorrow - thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts! :)
:hug:Hope a new shift is on in the morning! When I went in to be induced with Emma the nurse made such a mess putting the IV in my hand that she had to change the sheets on the bed and then she yelled at me for not drinking enough. Hope things go quickly and smoothly tomorrow!!!

Since I had to work Monday today is my holiday, I have to take the car back to the dealer this morning, the check engine light came on again, I think we've isolated it to the gas cap but I'm having them change it out, I don't want the light constantly coming on.
:wizard:Hope your car is all better now-that's frustrating! Loved your TR!!! You'll have to take Lizzy on ToT a few times for me! Poor kid hasn't been on it since Lizzy, Joe & I did it with Elizabeth last year. I really just don't enjoy it very much.

Well, I have one out the door on her way to her first day, and the other is just getting up. He has one more year of sleeping in, since his elementary school has the latest start at 8:50 am. I am still not ready for this day to be here, but there is no stopping time.

Hi DDA! I haven't read a thing. I'm waitinbg on my buddies to get dressed so we can do breakfast and head over to EPCOT.

Anyway, Sunday we got a late start, but went over to Animal Kingdom. We looked around the Oasis, took our merry time and checked out each bird. :goodvibes

Finally made it to Flame Tree barbeque and had the ribs. yum. Then we slowly walked over to Africia. I could not believe how empty the park was. The safari was a walk on. So we walked on! Even though it was close to 2:00, the safari was great. Lots of animals. Even the lion was sleeping on his rock. We walked out and got a frozen lemonade. Soaked in the atmosphere.

Cindy needed a nap, so we got to the bus and went home to OKW.

The heavens opened and it lightning and thundered for a couple of hours. We were hungry about 7:30 when she woke up, so we made it over to the MK. We watched Spectromagic, and then went to Peco Bills for barbeque and cheeseburgers. When we left there, Wishes (10:00pm) was starting so we didn't have a good place to watch. We finally got back to OKW close to midnight.

It was a fun and relaxing day.
Sounds like you're having a blast!!!

Just got the call that my aunt has passed.
I'm so sorry for your loss and your Mom's loss.

:wizard:Hope they baby is here soon so you don't loose too much maternity leave before the baby is here. I had the same thing happen with Lizzy-I was feeling fine when I went for my check up at 37 weeks but my BP was up and I did have protein so they put me on bed rest at home. It was tough because I was feeling OK. That was a Tuesday and my water broke on Friday night-she was born about 8:30am on Saturday. :wizard:

Hump day is over :cool1: This is the end of my doubles for the week. We were pleasantly busy both nights which was a wonderful change of pace.

Lindsay I will be thinking of you tomorrow!

So we still don't have airfare for December. It went all crazy last week while Dorinda was on vacation. Now the flight we wanted to take to MCO is no longer available with Frequent Flyer miles. Prices seem a bit lower tonight though so maybe that is a good sign. While checking flights this week I noticed that my January flights home dropped to $74 so I now have a $30 credit which will come in handy since December prices are so crazy. Dorinda thinks we should hold off until my miles come through around the 18th but I'm starting to freak out a bit.

Maybe I should go check to see if my Amex statement is available on line yet to see if I will even have enough miles for a free ticket.

I hope you are all doing well. Just stopping in to say hi.

Lindsay and Channon good luck, you will be welcoming your new babies soon.

The D-23 expo starts tomorrow so I am sure there will be lots of announcements being made the next few days.

Last night I was showing Emma some photos from our 2nd family trip in Oct 2004 when she was about 21 months old. In one photo from CP she was eating brocoli. I made sure to point that out to my picky eater now who eats white food and hot dogs. Without skipping a beat she says "Mommy, my taste buds weren't grown yet!":lmao:
