Theresa, when you think about other women you know who have been through a divorce, do you think that they are failures? Just curious.

almost everybody I know hasn't been through a divorce(or it happened way before I knew them)...except my mom and sister. I would prefer to not be like my mom...she would periodically do the deed :rolleyes1with my dad after they got divorced.:upsidedow Though I really wouldn't have to worry about that:rotfl2: But it's like she didn't completely break it off...When (notice I said when not if) I do this I want it to be as complete of a break as I can. My sister's first marriage was so short I didn't even meet the guy. :rotfl:

Oh...and my aunt who is married to my dad's brother...but I never could figure out how he landed such a classy lady.

I think I am going through the grieving process...and it helps to talk it out and hear from all of you. :cutie:

Anne Marie-Sleep is for whimps! Hope you get a good night's sleep tonight! OH....and I keep forgetting to tell you I got 7 $25 gift cards in the mail this week from Disney for the AP's! I'll have to buy you a Dole Whip the next time I see you. I'm wondering if I have enough um.....balls to call and demand to know why I didn't 8.:rotfl: I wonder if they didn't send me a card for the purchase of my AP or if they didn't send me one for the AP I purchased seperately for Lizzy. I'm thinking they messed up Lizzy's at Epcot because they didn't seem to know what they were doing and they tried to tell me I couldn't use it.

Tammi-congrats on the reduced airfare! I would say it doesn't sound like the 5K is a good fit for your trip. I could see how it could be fun if you had a longer trip OR if you took a trip to do that but it would mess up your plans for your birthday trip....

Kristine-Love your new signature!

Tom-Leighanna is beautiful!!! Love her dress!

Glynis-good luck with your training!

Elin-enjoy the well deserved wine!

Heidi-at the very least you should be "thinking" about packing!

Theresa-

Beth-good luck to Matthew getting his schedule.:wizard:

Janet-hope the boys continue the self directed home work!

Terry-I will add you and Stephanie to our Yatchman count!:thumbsup2:cool1:

Deb-hope your waitlist for the Treehouses comes through!:wizard:

Well, it's official. We aren't going to do the run. Instead, my mom is coming with us!!!

We called AAA to tow DH's old car to a garage this morning. The tow truck driver said he thought it was the timing belt. We got a $750 to $1,000 estimate to repair that so we didn't tow it to the garage-still sitting dead in the driveway. IF....that was the only thing wrong with the car it would probably be worth fixing BUT we know the car (and my house when DH & kids have been in the car) STINKS....and we suspect a few other problems too. I can't imagine the kids riding around in the mold mobile is good either!!!! We've decided to call a charity. I called one this morning and they will take it without it running.

I called 2 other Toyota dealers. One didn't impress me at all. They had a car that I was interested in BUT it has 3,000 miles on it and they were only offering about $1,000 off sticker. The other dealer was the one I bought my 2006 Sienna from and they treated me very well then. They said they could get (didn't actually have it) a car I want for a price I was willing to pay. Then I called the salesman who I've been seeing and he said they were scheduled to get a car in that I would like and they beat the other dealer's price. I gave him a credit card (Disney Visa of course!) for a $500 deposit. He called us back tonight to say the car would be arriving tomorrow but he's off so we'll go Friday night to test drive that specific car to be sure that is the one for us!

Well, that was a random reason I wasn't expecting...but really good news! How exciting!

Good luck getting it all worked out. I would say you could come visit me and buy one from by BIL, but that might be a little more for delivery thatn you were thinking. ;)

Hope this is the car you are wanting, good luck!

Thanks! I hope so too! This is pretty stressful and I can't think about the $$$ or I get sick to my stomach! I don't know how people spend upwards of $40K on a car.:confused3 The car I want is availble with over $10,000 more "stuff". Some of that "stuff" is really cool but I think I can live without all that. I could have found lots of cars with all that stuff-it was finding a base model without all the extras that is the challenge. The car comes with plenty of nice standard equipement like a 6 cd changer and full size spare tire.....

YEAH!!! A nice day off before you get back into everything. My sister is spending tomorrow doing her license and new plates so I'm sure she can empathize with you! Lots of :wizard: that everything is a go for Saturday.

Yes, it is!

Bernadette - I hope you get the car you want, without too many shenanigans.

Jen - :wizard: Yay for the classroom being done!

Was your mom trying to come with you all along or was this something new? I couldn't remembered if you'd mentioned it or not. What a birthday present!

Skydiving?????:eek::scared1:......Have fun!!!

Thanks! I could go to VT but I check the online inventory at what I think is Chris's dealership and the only V6 Venza they had was well over $30K.:scared1:

Thanks! I think this salesman KNOWS I will walk away if he tries anything. I was all set to buy my 3rd car from this dealership when I bought my Sienna and the salesman tried to change the price by $1,000 so I left and went to the one I did. The dealership I bought my Sienna from is about 40 miles from my house so I would rather buy from this one less than 10 miles away. This salesman is an older guy (the one 2 years ago was young) and he lives about 1/2 mile from my house so I don't think he's going to try to pull anything stupid.

No. We were talking on the phone the other night and she asked when our next trip was going to be. I told her January, and that just the kids and I were going. The kids mentioned something to her about having space for one more person in our room. I emailed them all the info today...flight price, where we were staying, the Sunrise Safari info, ticket prices. My dad called tonight to tell me to go ahead and make her arrangements. This was the least amount of arm twisting I've ever had to do with them!

Chris thinks that the parts you would need to repair your old van would be a couple hundred dollars plus 5 hours labor which should come in around $500.
Of course the labor rate here is $79 and it may be a bit different in your area. He says that he likes the Venza. He hasn't really worked on any at this point as they are really new. He hasn't heard of any real issues though :thumbsup2 We apparently have many Venzas on the lot, but he wasn't sure how many were V6. His dealership is White River Toyota.

The online inventory shows one V6 that stickers for $35,273. I'm sure it is lovely but I can't justify that but it does have that really cool backup camera. That option isn't too bad-"only" about $500 but you wouldn't be able to find a base car with just that....I don't think I need leather seats, heated seats, power rear hatch door, chrome accented door handles.....

Nice to hear Chris hasn't seen too many Venzas in the shop!:thumbsup2
