I decided to look into extending our October trip through the weekend. Our DVC point rental ends on a Thursday and I thought I would see what AP rates were available for October 8-11. Not only is WDW's website down, but the chipper CM I just talked to was happy to tell me they were going through an "enhancement" to their system and to please call back in a few hours.

Hmmmmm.... wonder what is going on? Ticket price increases? that would also affect package prices.

If I were to buy our APs today I would probably save money. But the thought of spending $1000 right now is beyond my thought processes! I wonder how much stupid Disney is going to raise ticket prices.

It is totally out of my realm of thinking that they have to give free food away and make 25-40% discounts available to sell their rooms but they will increase ticket prices.

Let's hope you are right. But August 1st is the day they traditionally do ticket increases and they are usually posted by 48 hours prior. So, we shall see. I wish I could remember what the percentage of increase they have had in the past.

Elin - I think it is in the neighborhood of 3-5%? I may be wrong. There is a chart somewhere. I saw it. Just don't recall where.

I was trying to avoid calling maintenance, but I caved and called them. Our A/C has been making a thumping noise every time it turns on, but it isn't that big of a deal. When I was standing in my bathroom this morning the toilet magically started to run all by itself. We just got a WHOMPING water bill. The toilet can not run for 2 weeks while we are gone. So I have a work order in. She said she will try to get the guys up here today.

Like an idiot, I tried to pick up a pen from the floor this morning. Using my toes. And now my back feels weird. I just took an ibuprofen. Hope it helps.

DH has a sore throat and sniffles. I told him I am going to pretend I do not know that. I should probably go buy some Dayquil or something.

Just say when. I could do a long weekend. I have 9 days off to use before the end of Sept. I am taking 1 for Magicmeet. 1 for Bridal shower prep. 5 days in a row, for am not sure what yet. (Maybe Vegas, or Cruise to Canada or whatever I find a great deal for.) I still have 2 to use.

Thanks for that Theresa, I was wondering how well such a cheap camera would work. I called family members and there are 5 of us who agreed to buy the better one and also get her a camera bag. She had a DS lite stolen because she took it to school and her mother talked to her about responsibility (read... gave her hell) so now even at 9 she is a much more responsible young girl.

Elin there was a lot of speculation on the theme park board that prices will go up and Robo stated that it is usually between 3-6%. Also a lot of people were asking why Disney would raise prices being they are offering free dinning and someone mentioned that what most people don't understand is that free dinning is not really free, because you are paying rack rate for the rooms.

All of you Dec. travelers have me thinking!
Our 25th Anniv. is Dec. 8th, so we are trying to plan a trip around then. Some of our paths might cross!

One of the kids from the Make-a-Wish board passed away yesterday, so sad. His name was Noah.
The Dis now has a new smiley named Noah. I thought that was really touching!
