Today is our 36th anniversary! We were in the midst of the ceremony right this very minute.

I was planning to grill out tonight but it is H O T as Hades out there already. The heat index is supposed to go close to 100 again so I am not certain I want to do that. I have so many gift cards from students I may just choose a restaurant for us to go to. And I will enjoy watching myBob wonder why we are going out to dinner. He never said a word to me this morning nor have I gotten a phone call or email wishing me a Happy Anniversary, Darling. :rotfl2:

Happy Anniversary to you & bob

Happy Anniversary, Elin!

Tsk tsk, Bob. :sad2:

So, if I didn't keep winning things I would probably be even farther in the dumps:

Abi won the grocery bag at our thursday night cooking class. She used it the next night to make the baked penne recipe...it was scrumptious:goodvibes

On Saturday, I got a $25 gift card from E-bay...from a contest I entered awhile ago. Used it to get part of Abi's Christmas present:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180386730444&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

Just now Cassidy called to say that our text won passes to the Water Park http://www.waterworldcolorado.com/ which you can see is over $100 worth of tickets.:scared1:

I am feeling lucky in contests...now if life were the same way!

WTG Theresa :woohoo:

Thanks to everyone for the Anniversary Wishes here and on FB

Happy belated Anniversary to Amy and Deb

Happy Anniversary Elin, can't wait to hear the rest of the story.

For those of you leaving soon have a wonderful trip

Janet - I'm sorry to hear about your landlord, he seems like a really wonderful guy.

Channon - The nursery looks great!

Elin will you tell him at some point if he does not figure it out?

I forgot our Anniversary one year, in 1996. I was suppose to get my tubes tied after giving birth to Riley but beings I had to go in for an emergency c section the Dr. did not want to do it then. So I was scheduled to go back for that in Oct. I went to get my tubes tied & woke up to find out that I had had surgery again, I had one of my ovaries removed. So within 2 months I gave birth to Riley, had the c section, got my tubes tied, & had an ovary removed. My mind & body were so worn out. On the day of our Anniversary I had Gary take me to the grocery store & I noticed he was in the card aisle. I asked who he was buying a card for & that is when he told me. I felt like such a heel & could not believe I had forgotten. So much was going on that I did not even think about what day it was.

Gary has never forgotten & if he ever does, I owe him one lol

Aren't you all glad I shared that with you :rotfl:

Chuck & I both forgot one year. It was 6 or 7pm at night before Chuck remembered. :rotfl:

Theresa - Congrats! :thumbsup2

Elin - It's not looking good for Bob to remember, is it? :sad2:

Debbie - Your "Grands" are growing up! :goodvibes Soon it will be time to take a certain princess to WDW! :rolleyes1

Well, I bought our airline tickets for December! No turning back now!

I may end up tweaking "Free" dining back to a room only, but we are definitely going to be at WDW Dec. 3-7. :)

Happy Anniversary Elin,

Channon - The nursery looks great!

Debbie love the pic

Ai yi yi and a headache sidelines the rest of the night. Actually, a late dinner and Robin here cutting hair mostly sidelined the rest of the night, but the headache isn't helping. At least I accomplished 4 of the 5 goals for the day. Unfortunately, the one I didn't accomplish is my work for the week so I'll have to do that tomorrow night.

Kids Club was our kids this morning so that was an easy morning. After that, we had another great park group. A whole new set of moms were there as well and Terra came home thoroughly dirty and soaked (sprinkler to play in + dusty ball field = OH MY!). A quick trip to the Girl Scout office followed by a phone call which ended with my becoming an official Troop Organizer for homeschoolers and my day was done! Add to that the 6 extra kids that were at home when I got there and now I'm beat. Maybe that's where the headache came from.... ;)

If it weren't for Terra really wanting to do her birthday this time, I'd be really tempted by free dining in Dec. I miss Christmas stuff so badly, plus the draw of the icicle castle....

Theresa - That's great news on the prize winning front! I'm sure it's a boost to have those extra special things pop up here and there. I hope the luck soon spreads to the rest of life for you. :wizard:

I am glad you shared your story, Janet. I haven't (yet) forgotten. But Bob had to be told three times tonight. After he finally figured it out (on our way to dinner) he said it was because he remembered my birthday this month. Said he cannot remember two dates in the same month. :rotfl2:

We went to a new pub in town (you are right Tammi... it was good!) and then I took him home and Kristin and I went to another beer joint and spent an enjoyable evening with a couple more beers, good conversation and two awesome beer glasses (courtesy of the manager!). Pictures tomorrow.

So I looked at who was performing at House Of Blues while I am there in September...

09/06/09 10:30AM Gospel Brunch w/ TBD (10:30 am) House of Blues Orlando Lake Buena Vista FL

My group... TBD!!!!!!:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Good morning, DDA!

Debbie- Brandon & Aubrey are so cute.:goodvibes

Elin- Glad you, Bob & Kristin enjoyed celebrating your anniversary.

Tia- Sounds like a good day, but sorry it ended with a headache.

Jennifer- I hope you are feeling better.

Theresa- You got some great shots of Cassidy! Congrats on winning all those fun extras. Enjoy the visit with your mom.

Elizabeth- :yay: for December!

Steffy- I am so glad you get a chance to see your favorite group!! ;)

Mo's cast comes off today! And just in time as she starts ballet/tap class tonight.

I finally got my surgery scheduled for Aug 31st. Now just to convince my doctor that I "need" a night in the hospital to recover.

And I have gotten a few phone calls looking for daycare (all part time, but enough kids that it's the same amount of $) so I/m hopeful there may only be a few tight weeks.

Stephanie - It's a good thing you enjoy "TBD" so much! :rotfl2:

Tia - Hope a good night's sleep took care of your headache!

Elin - Sounds like you had a nice evening, in spite of Bob's memory issues! ;)

If I survive today we are leaving for WDW in 72 hours!

This afternoon we have the mean kid coming over to play. And since I am working late I don't know what time I will finish work tonight. It won't be pretty! :scared:
Tomorrow I just have to deal with the exterminator. And as far as I know, Friday is still just an hour in the AM and then I am done!

DS has 2 theater shows on Friday since he is dual enrolled in camp. He is disappointed with the way things are going in the Scene class. On Monday he had been told he would read the part of "Felix" in "The Odd Couple" and he was REALLY excited. He also had another part where he is a husband plagued by the ghost of his dead wife, and his current wife thinks he is nuts. Yesterday the instructors decided they only have time for the students to have one role, so they cut "Odd Couple". He doesn't like the girls in the other scene, so overall he is not very happy.:sad2: Luckily this is only a 5 day camp. It sounds like the one girl is a piece of work.
