So we MIGHT be going to Disneyland in February! Dana will be in LA on business. We have 2 free tickets from US Airways & Danas ticket is paid for so we'd only pay for 2 airfares. We have Marriott points so this may work out. Just in the planning stages though...hopefully things will be ok with my mom & overall so we can go.

Fun!! We're still working on figuring out when we'll get out there next. The tickets had been offered, but this will be the first time we'll have to pay for a car and hotel so that's a whole new expense. Dang friends moving to better happier places! ;)

Fun!

Today my baby girl turns 16. :scared1::lovestruc Where did the time go? We are going out in a little while to get her learner's permit. She isn't a "party person", so we'll just have a family celebration.

Language doesn't start here until 7th grade. My older two both picked French, even though I thought Spanish would be more practical. The only choices in our district are Spanish, Italian, and French. I took German, but I don't remember more than tiny bits and pieces.

Janet, I hope that Riley heals quickly. Is tomorrow his birthday?

Kristine, :woohoo:for the mammogram results. They were quick! Mine always take 10-14 days, and they don't call. They just send a letter. Maybe they call if there is a problem. :confused3

Hope it all works out for you!

Yes, I did. I thought it was okay. I really wanted to watch Doubt, with Meryl Streep, but they didn't have it.

I haven't seen that one yet either. I am sure we will be renting videos to watch this weekend!

6-10. A short trip, using fewer points. My plan is not to go to WDW next summer and save the points for a really nice December trip. Think I can hold out??? ;) I'm aiming for a cruise in the summer.

I think you can if you are planning a cruise. Something different to look forward to :) A long Dec. trip sounds wonderful to me!

I'm glad things look good for school! What a load of your mind, I'm sure. When do they start?
They go back next Tuesday & the way they have been fighting the last 2 days I think we all can't wait!:lmao:

Sounds like a good plan, are you doing a Disney cruise?

Happy Birthday to your DD :cake: Ah Sweet 16 :goodvibes

Yes Riley turns 13 tomorrow!

Beth and Janet - Happy birthday to both your kiddos! Hope they both have great birthday weekends.

Tammi - she is here now! We would love to have you join us any time tomorrow.

Marci - when are you headed to WDW?

Oct. 23 - 26. Just a long weekend, alas.

I love that i can check in with you guys this time when im away!

Well another successful day in Arlington. We relaxed and went to the pool for most of the morning/early afternoon. We decided to walk to the stadium and stopped to grab dinner on the way, since we figured it woudl be too expensive once we got there. We had great seats in left center field for the Rangers game. We were right near the bullpen which was pretty neat. Rangers ended up winning! We got back to our hotel, jumped in the pool, and now here I am :)
(I am updating pictures on facebook everynight--my family wants to see, so in case you want to check them out!)

I'm so glad you had a good time. We watched the game on TV. Actually, we watch most nights. We are big baseball fans and they've been playing well (for them, normally, they would already be in the basement in the standings). Tuesday and Wednesday they were winning games and left their pitchers in too long... losing both games. Stay safe today. The storms that came through here earlier were brutal!

Happy Sweet 16!!!!!

Janet -- happy early birthday to Riley. I sure hope he is feeling better.

Off for more work.

It's kind of a blah morning around here. Guess I should get up and moving and see if that helps. Otherwise, I may just think of an escape for a little while today. I've felt it setting in the last couple of days, but haven't been able to stave it off. Hopefully, something gets through soon or it's short-lasting and I'll be back to normal quickly.

Quick question for recent travellers...Did MK get new rental strollers? I just noticed a lot of khaki strollers in a recent stroller parking pic on another thread. Are they just different colors or a new style? Is it just MK or all parks?

ETA: Okay, I found some pictures of the actual strollers. Wonder if they're any better/worse than the old?

Hi, everyone! I'm back, hopefully for good! School has started, and we are all back in our routine. It feel awfully good!

Katie started 7th grade, and has had 2 days of classes now. She's enjoying it, so far, except that she doesn't really have many of her old friends in her classes. She's also have girl drama with some of her old friends. I told her to just get used to it. I hate it when she hurts, but I'm hopeful that she'll meet some new people in her Academy classes, and that will help.

Jacob and the twins started school yesterday, and they love their teachers! Leslie did mention that there's a lot more work in second grade than in first. I didn't want to break it to her that there's a lot more work involved as she moves into each grade. I think I'll let her figure that one out on her own.

Timothy and I are now trying to get into a routine here at home. I'm trying to work a jogging/walking time into our morning sandwiched between nap and lunch. I really hope that works out, as I have a few more pregnancy pounds to lose.

I hope that I haven't missed too much, and if I did, I hope someone will take pity on me and catch me up. As it is, I'm just jumping in here and hoping for the best!

O

.

It was a fun game and the stadium was really nice. Those storms were crazy!! I was sleeping and it woke me up ..seemed like the thunder was constant. It seems to have settled dwon for now, but i wonder if those storms will pop back up..good thing the stadium can be closed if need be, because i MUST go to that game tonight :)

I just booked our flight down for January and it only cost me $28!!!! Well, not really since I had a credit for the SWA flights I canceled. But still, those had already been paid for so I'm only out a few dollars more. Now I need to wait for SWA to release the rest of the Jan. dates so I can book our return flight.

Hi Glynis.
