I thought about flinging my coffee cup at him. But it wasn't empty, and we shouldn't waste good coffee.

My morning starts that way sometimes too. Hope the day improved.

Elizabeth - I feel your pain. So much so that 6-7 years ago we did the following: We opened a second account that is Bob's alone to use. I have debit cards and access to the account, but I never do ~ except to deposit money into it every time he gets a paycheck. He gets a pay receipt at work so he always knows how much his paycheck was for that period.

90% of our arguments over money have now stopped. He still has no idea about what bills we pay or even how to go about paying them. I handle all our finances too. I think of myself as the CFO in this merger. I am also the CEO, but he doesn't know that...

That's a pretty good idea. I guess we do pretty much the same thing except without the account. I had Phil a $20 every couple of weeks. Since the extent of his purchases is apple pies from McDonald's and a Subway $5 footlong here and there, that lasts him the two weeks of a pay period. Otherwise, he orders something from Amazon about once a month.

We would both agree the CFO and I'm sure Phil knows full well I've installed myself as CEO as well.

I had a friend request from the older sister of an acquaintance from HS. She is married to the older brother of long-lost friends from my homeroom whose mother was also our housekeeper/nanny-type person when my Mom went back to work. Her connection to me? She thinks we might be neighbors. I thought long and hard about accepting her request and figured it was OK. If I don't like reading her status updates or she bombards me with junk messages I will remove her from my list. Many of the people who have friended me there have done so just to be able to reconnect, briefly. So, I say go ahead! Remove her later if there is a problem.

That's pretty much what I've done too. I've also found that by adding some more distant "friends" from high school, I've found some good friends that I want to have added. So I just use their request for my benefit.

For those of you that rent a car, getting to WDW from MCO, is it better to take the Bee Line Expwy to I4, or the Central FL Greenway (rt 417)?

Um, I take whatever way I find myself getting on. I've only driven it a few times, but each time I didn't end up where I was trying to be. So, my new theory is to just go and take the route I end up finding. Hopefully, someone else is better at this than me.

I agree with this. I have accepted a couple of requests sometime ago and other than the initial contact have heard nothing further. I used it as an opportunity to see if they were Facebook friends with people I did want to reconnect with as well.

Elizabeth, I also put people like that on a separate list..I have my family, close friends (and you guys ) and the firefighters i know all on one list on facebook--that list is able to see pictures of mine, updates, everything. The people that I "knew from hs and didnt really talk to then" are on a separate list that doesnt see as much on my profile..it makes me feel better haha

Well, im off to run some errands, then a friend and her son are coming swimming..then i have a date tonight! I havent had a first date in a LONG time! One night a couple of weeks ago i signed up on one of those online things....so we have been chatting on AIM for a couple of weeks and decided to meet for a late dinner (he works in NYC and doesnt get home til almost 7). So were meeting at a public place , i think a local mall that has a bunch of restaurants right there...so im nervous but im excited too!

This is the Courtyard Ocean Front. Unfortunately, we were staying on points on a holiday, so no Ocean View room for us. It was wonderful hotel, though.

There were professional fireworks from that pier in the distance. Since Florida doesn't seem to have any laws about fireworks, there were lots of people shooting them on the beach, too.

Tammi - When we were talking about GPS units last week I don't know if we ever had the chance to discuss how we navigate at WDW. Although we always have the GPS with us, we follow the signs. WDW changes their roads so often, without warning that I would be concerned to rely on maps (whether or not they were updated, Beth ) when making the trips in. I do sometimes end up going a way I know works for me but usually I will use the signs. And they are all there in plain view, even starting at the airport. I "think" we use 417, but I am not sure. We go the way the sign says to go!

I agree with Elin, seperate accounts might help.
As far as FB, I have 3 friend requests just hanging there for the very same reason you mentioned. 20 years later I have people who were not friends requesting to reconnect.

I had someone give me a friend request and I have NO clue who it is. I left it hanging out there for sometime and then denied it. She sent a personal message so I'm thinking that she wanted another person with my name or my mind is lost since I have NO clue who she is.

Vicki, now that you say that, I did have a lady message me asking if I work for the FDA. Uncle1 works for them, so I can see how she thought I might be someone she knew. I sent a message back telling her she had the wrong person.

So I ATTEMPTED to exchange my defective lip liner. The girl who sold it to me was there. She insists there is nothing wrong with it. She basically snapped off the part that I had twisted up, then she proceeded to twist it about 20 times to get it to move up about 2 mm. It will NOT retract if you try to twist it back down. OK, fine. I will take it back to the OTHER Nordstrom and tell THEM I want a new one. It should NOT be that complicated to get it to go up and down. There is something wrong with it.

I bought some bronzer at Macy's. I am not a huge fan of bronzer because it makes me look orange. The guy put it on for me, and it looked good. But then depending on the light in the different stores, sometimes it did look rather orange. I am conflicted about keeping it. I don't want to use it and then realize it's too orange because it will be hard to take back once it has been used. Hmm.

I am afraid of being orange too but I would like to try a bronzer. By now my legs would be nice & dark but since we have been inside alot this summer they are pasty white....cellulite looks better dark than pasty.

This is just a powder bronzer for my face. I bought something kind of similar last year that I have barely used, so I might be better off returning this one. I am definitely too chicken to try any of the self-tanner type things since I am SOOO pale. I know they wouldn't look natural.

Tammi (and other BLT guests) - The BLT Lounge is open ONLY to DVC members on points or cash staying at BLT, people staying at BLT on rented points, and guests in the rooms of DVC members at BLT (meaning if you have family as registered guests in your villa at BLT they can go to the lounge with you). This is on All Ears. So that means cash guests through CRO will NOT be allowed up there? Yikes. That will cause some tension!

Huh. I don't know. One of my friends is going to be a bartender there, but I don't know how long it will be until he has the scoop on things.

I don't have immediate plans to stay at BLT, but in the event that we do stay there at least we will be able to get in the lounge. Well, unless people are lined up hours in advance.

I wasn't able to get concierge for next year so I booked a value 1 bedroom for the whole time. Of course our dates may change, so that may not be what we end up doing after all.

I just checked pin releases for August. Nothing I am interested in. Which is kind of a bummer. On the other hand, I will save a lot of money!

Princess has had the absolute most fitful naps this week. She has moved to her "big girl" bed which SHOULD be more comfortable for her, but she spends the whole time thrashing and sighing. She almost sounds like she isn't getting any sleep at all!

DH and DS are at the vet with Zazu for a well check and another round of kitten vaccines. I wonder how much weight he has gained in the past month?

Janet, the only PIN we have ever gotten was for DL. And it may not have even been a PIN, it may have just ben an ad. I didn't pay that much attention.

Heh heh. I just noticed the lip liner package specifically says it will not retract. Oops. I still don't think it works the way it should. I won't be buying Clinique lip liner again. It is kind of dry and crumbly - not really what I was looking for.

Zazu now weighs just over 4 pounds. The vet says we should have his surgery as soon as possible, so he is going in Tuesday AM. I guess it will be good to get it out of the way before we leave. We definitely do NOT want him to start spraying.

Ugh, guys i am nervous--its been a long time since ive been on a first date! my ex and i dated for like..6 years
