DDA chapter 21

After the fishing derby all of us except Nick took a nap. We were oddly tired. After our nap we all headed outside. Nick did the riding part of the lawn, Hunter, Colby and I spring cleaned the camper and Chris worked on the brakes for the new camp truck. The camper is looking good. I just need to vacuum and mop the floors, but I might as well wait until I put everything in there as we will just track anyway. Now I can start digging out all the camper stuff that I moved indoors for the winter. We also need to decide if we're going to add a weekend on the coast to the beginning of our trip.

I need to get groceries and Chris has requested a few things for his new bay at work so I will have to go shopping tomorrow. I wonder how early the stores open?

I'm sorry about the service. I've never seen anyone stick around for the actual filling of the grave  I hope your family respects your wishes.

Congrats to Guenna on the new house. They must be so excited.:goodvibes

The mother, father, wife actually sat there and other family members helped shovel the dirt. It is their way of actual closure.

Hi, we are back from the beach.....(& air show  sorry Tammi!) The Thunderbirds were the main act. One plane came out of no where & hit the sound barrier right over our head..:eek:our ears are still ringing...We had a nice time & the beach was beautiful although alittle cold. Daniel & Sophie didn't let 55 degree water stop them from swimming up to their necks!:scared1:

Hope you are all enjoying your Memorial Day weekend.:flower3:

I haven't made it to the store yet. I think it will have to wait until tomorrow. I had an email from the Lacrosse coordinator and she wanted me to order a bunch of shirts for the coaches as she loved Chris'. That took awhile as I had to customize each shirt.

If anyone wants to order printed t-shirts or embroidered items I have had good luck with logosportswear.com. You can create your own designs and they will print them. I haven't done anything Disney so not sure about the copyrights, but the quality is very very good. :thumbsup2

I got some wonderful news today. I just hope it holds true and the bottom doesn't fall out before it comes to fruition.

After the appraisal came in way to low for me to buy ex out, I figured what the heck and tried another mortgage company. This time I went with a broker. They ordered a new appraisal and this one came in $105,000 higher than the one the Chevy Chase Bank did. Which means I can buy him out, pay him off, pay off our DVC (and own it outright) plus still have a lot of equity left in the house. Plus I even got a lower interest rate. All the paperwork is done and the loan application is going through underwriting.

Tammi, this post made me so happy! Congratulations on the much better appraisal, and I will be praying that things go as you anticipate! :goodvibes

This is why I never put my kids in anything but their crib to sleep. I didn't want to have to go through the re-adjustment. But, of course, I think Jennifers girls have pretty much always been in their cribs (at least for quite some time) so that really doesn't back up my argument, does it? :confused3

Keep your chin up, Glynis! :wizard:

My girls have been in their cribs since.... 3 or 4 months old? I think, I can't remember. Already. (Ridiculous). I didn't move them until a month where Kyle would be home to help, but there was literally no readjustment period, they did fine. I hope the same for Timothy, Glynis, though as you have read my girls are giving me absolute hell this month for no real reason! I can commiserate!

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

We did make it to the pool, but only for about 2 hours. The cloudy skies and raindrops sent us home. Which was fine anyway as the kids had blue lips. The water was so cold. We came home and hung out and I got some laundry done. After dinner we went to our locally famous ice cream stand and had sundaes and/or cones. The kids wanted to see Mall Cop so we picked it up from Redbox on the way home and are watching it now.

Terry - That poor family. I hope they do find closure.

Hi Debbie . How are you feeling?

Anne Marie - At least one of us liked the air show!

we were going to head toward the foothills today....instead we went swimsuit shopping....there is absolutely nothing out there for a teen girl with a D/DD chest. :scared1:30+ suits and we found a semi suit. Yesterday was shopping for Abi for a suit.................I never want to go swimsuit shopping ever again.

The heaven opened up again in a torrential downpour.......I am hoping it's warm enough to water gun or sprinkler running tomorrow. I will also finish planting tomorrow morning.

We will also watch Paul Blart tonight and maybe I will be able to get what's up between Josh and Cassidy....though I don't know that she knows. I think he is a kid who is really stuck between being a kid and a grownup...much more so than a normal kid just out of high school.

Hi Tammi, I'm taking my last breathing treatment while typing this, I'm inproving but it's a slow process. I'm going to the Magic Kingdom in the morning, how long I stay is another story.

My youngest DD has the same problem Theresa and I feel your pain, poor thing can never get a blouse that really looks right, I see a reduction surgery in her future.

I so feel their pain. I wear a J cup and it is near impossible to find a decent swim suit.

Sounds like everybody is having a nice weekend so far! :)

Terry, I am sorry for your friend's loss. Very sad. :guilty:

I took DS to a BBQ at my friend's house. It was all nannies, but most of them have known DS his entire life so he was very comfortable there. :rotfl: He got to swim, so he was happy. The hostess grilled burgers and chicken, and she had all sorts of side dishes that everyone brought. It was all very tasty! :thumbsup2 I mostly behaved, but I had some Mississippi mud cake that was really good. The lady who made it has celiac issues so it was gluten free. It tasted like regular dessert to me! They were making ice cream but it was taking a lot longer than they anticipated so we didn't stay for that.

We are plugging away on DS's project. 16 letters down, 10 to go. Plus a summary page. At least we have stuck to our plan of working some each evening so it won't be such a huge task tomorrow night!
