Robyn - here is a picture of Alyssa's fake bun. I got it for 10 bucks at Sally's Beauty Supply. It's actually a ponytail, which she needs for her tap routine, but I put it up into a bun for ballet. Her hair is way too short to look anywhere decent on it's own.

You can also see how they are dancing in pairs.

Tammi - Alyssa looks so beautiful! I can't imagine how heart stoppingly beautiful she's going to be as a teen ager! I don't envy you her dating years!

Dress rehearsal went well, other than Alyssa's partner didn't show up! It's a dance where they are partnered together the ENTIRE dance, so Alyssa had to just do the dance and pretend like there was someone there. It really threw her off. That girl had better show up for the recital or Alyssa is going to feel stupid up there. I could tell that she was upset. Here are a few pictures.

I didn't get any good pictures of the actual dance because (1) my camera sucks at taking action shots and (2) I'm just a horrible photographer.

Beautiful!!! Hope her parner shows up for the recital!

Well,,,,,We are going to go to Jimmy's Buffet. That way all of the family will be together.

One thing I can say about this family, is they love to cook.

Sunday night, Stevie's girlfriend Michelle, made a pork loin and did each one differently. Asian, very spicy and one kid friendly, mashed red potatoes, and green beans with lots and lots of garlic. Monday, Guenna made shrimp with penne pasta and asparagus soup. Tuesday, Hal made pork butt rubbed with barbecue sauce and he baked it all day and did the final roasting on the grill for about two hours. Then he pulled it apart and we had it on either rolls or tortilla wraps with extra sauce if one wanted. Tonight Howie and Heather made mexican, tacos with specially seasoned hamburger meat, specially seasoned chicken and beef for fajitas and other good stuff.

So tomorrow we will go out and Friday will be leftovers from all of the great meals.

I'm sitting here wondering what today will bring. Nick was complaining of a tummy and headache most of the day yesterday. I know that he wants to go to school today since it is their trip, but will he be feeling up to it? Hunter also had a tummy ache at bedtime.

Apparently the boys were playing with water balloons on Monday at my parent's house. Nick put a balloon filled with water in his mouth and it popped. The water rush caused him to swallow the balloon. Now he is worried that it is stuck inside him He didn't mention this until yesterday I don't think that it actually has anything to do with him not feeling well, but I'm letting him sweat it out because 13 year olds should know better than to put object in their mouths It's not like we haven't told them a million times that you can choke on balloons.

Well I hope to be in Disney end of July/start of August next year. Our AP will run out 8/8/10 so our trip has to end by 8/8. So hopefully you will be able to go so we can meet up.
