Elin I just saw a thread on the theme parks board that Disney has extended the new dessert party to Aug. Fingers crossed that they keep extending it.

I thought it was originally scheduled to run through the end of August. The 28th maybe... Have they added on to that now?

ETA: I found the post you were referring to, Heidi. I see someone made an ADR for August 29. Hmmmmmm .... let's keep hoping!

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

It is back to reality for me today too.

Terry nice picture of you & Hal :goodvibes

Tammi glad you all made it home safely!

Good morning from North Carolina!!! We are enjoying our first morning in our new home.

It took 2 days to get 550 boxes packed into the biggest truck I have ever seen. When we left & started saying goodbye to the neighbors Sophie & Daniel started crying hysterically. They were inconsolable. So we thought the best plan was to get the heck out of there FAST..so we got on the road & headed to Colonial Williamsburg. We made it by 9pm on Friday night. The kids swam & we ordered some pizza..and then the kids started talking about the new house so things were going much better. CW was great, they have added so many more reinactors to make the experience more immersive. We toured the Capital, The Palace, & the merchants shops. There were many programs for kids where they could sew, help with a colonial dinner, play colonial games & the like. We dined at the Kings Arm Tavern which was great as always. We made it home last evening in 3 hours..so cool as we love to go to Williamsburg.

CW was our first vacation together so it has lots of sweet memories...

N
Now we are here waiting for our moving truck which was supposed to be here at 8am.....

Hope everyone is doing well.

Poor kiddos! I was a crying mess when we moved to TX in 1985 and when we moved back to OH in 1987. You and Dana were very smart to have a special trip incorporated into the move. I hope the adjustment goes smoothly for you ALL! :goodvibes

Hey Elizabeth...when you talked to Lindsay, did she happen to mention if she's going to post a quick message about the results of her ultrasound? :)

Thanks Amy. I think the mini vacation really helped. :)

Welcome Home, Anne Marie!

CW is less than 2 hours from us so that might be a great meeting place. We love it too! Good luck today. Those movers will get everything into the house so fast. And then....

You have to unpack it all.

I wonder if the DIS made us take all our signature tickers and photos and stuff like that out if it would run any better?

Anne Marie - I'm so happy that you all had a nice trip and that you are FINALLY into your new home, together again! :wizard: that you get unpacked and settled in quickly!

I hate to speak too quickly, but I haven't had any of the problems with the DIS that you all are speaking of.

Could someone please be on the lookout for Dings for me from SWA from Baltimore to Orlando?

I am getting so fed up with airfare. I haven't even gotten our tickets for August yet. Well, that's not entirely true. I have Nicholas' and my outbound flight, but that's it. Whenever they have good rates, I have never been able to purchase more than one ticket. Notice they've only had good rates 2x. The return flights have always been expensive and don't seem to be dropping.

I should just bite the bullet and fly Airtran out of Richmond, but it doesn't get in until 9:30 at night and I have to be at work at 7 the next morning. I will be dragging!

So what are the anticipate dates for your 2010 Disney trip? We are trying to structure our vacation plans.

Probably no help to you, but February for us. Ideally, it will be the 19-27, but that's peak pricing so we may go earlier in the month depending on what deals come out.

Hi all!

Sorry I haven't been posting much-been in a funk. Still haven't canceled the Poly reservation but it isn't looking too likely that we will go. I told DH early in the week that the Jet Blue flight was down to $79 one way. He just asked me when we were going to the Cape for 2 nights with his family and told me what a great time the kids would have there.:headache:

I'm so sorry Bernadette. I totally agree with you and would be upset too. I hope you find your way out of this funk soon. I've been struggling with a funk of my own so I feel your pain. :grouphug:

Good morning from North Carolina!!! We are enjoying our first morning in our new home.

Welcome home!!!! I hope the truck arrives soon and that the unpacking goes smoothly. 550 boxes huh? :scared1: Good luck! I hope the kids settle in well, though I'm sure it's a bag of mixed emotions for them right now. The stop in Williamsburg sounds great. That is definitely a trip that will be on our wish list in the next few years.

Me either, knock on wood!

That reminds me that I need to reload DING. I'll do that today and try to keep an eye out for them.

Good morning, DDA!

It was a crazy weekend as always. The surprise party on Saturday went without a hitch and, miracuously, I didn't lose my mind. I spent the first hour out back grilling up all of the food, then grabbed my food before hopping in the pool with Terra. I had to leave after awhile to pick Rachel up after her mission trip to West Virginia. I was got just long enough for the party to wrap up and then we had a quiet night. Well, as quiet as it can be with Kristi's 3 spending the night. They were all worn out though so we played a little, ate dinner and then everyone fell asleep to a movie.

Yesterday was a day of shock. We got some disheartening news from my parents' church's pastor that was shocking and very sad. He's resigned for personal reasons and I know that everyone involved both there at at the church we go to (which kind of spun out of this one) is stunned by it all.

After church, Terra and I got to spend a very nice day together even if it did keep getting interuptted by random oddities. We had a lot of fun though and I was feeling much more at peace after our time together. Then at 10:45 last night, Dad finally made it home from his 17 days in Ukraine. He had an amazing trip and is already talking about going back with next year's mission group. I'm very impressed as this is something that none of us ever expected my dad to do. It's totally out of his comfort zone, but was apparently the right thing. He said they worked hard all week building and doing for this camp there for underprivilidged and disabled children. The area is the poorest of the poor, but he said the kids were all so joyful and loving. It was a good trip.

Now, I am trying to bring myself to take Terra to park day, but I can't quite give up the glorious quiet that is this morning. Maybe the baby will wake up soon and jump start me to action, but for now I'm enjoying the peace that is too often missing.

That's odd you would think it would run well then, because there are less people on at that time. I sit down at 6 and usually don't have any trouble till later in the afternoon.

It never runs well at 4 AM. That is when I have the most trouble.

Welcome home Ann Marie hope the unpacking and adjusting goes smoothly and quickly.
