The buffet looks better than I thought it would. I hope that is what it continues to look like as the summer progresses.

Theresa, I would ask the interviewer when they will be making a decision. When I used to do interviews I would tell people "If you don't hear from me by Wednesday you may assume the position has been filled." That eliminated the need for them to call me.

I just came from the eye Dr. Oral antibiotics. new drops, stupid hot compresses. Follow up in 2 weeks. This dude (a colleague of my friend's boss) recommends cutting them out, which I was hoping to avoid. Guess we'll see if the antibiotics do any good.

One morning the husband returns after several hours of fishing and decides to take a nap. Although not familiar with the lake, his wife decides to take the boat out. She motors out a short distance, anchors, and reads her book.
Along comes a Game Warden in his boat. He pulls up alongside the woman and says, 'Good morning, Ma'am. What are you doing?'
'''Reading a book,' she replies, (thinking, 'isn’t that obvious?')

'You're in a Restricted Fishing Area,' he informs her.
'I'm sorry, officer, but I'm not fishing. I'm reading'

'Yes, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment. I'll have to take you in and write
you up.'

'For reading a book,' she replies.

'You're in a Restricted Fishing Area,' he informs her again.

'I'm sorry, officer, but I'm not fishing. I'm reading'

'If you do that, I'll have to charge you with Sexual assault,' says the woman.

'But I haven't even touched you,' says the game warden.

'Have a nice day ma'am,' and he left.


MORAL: Never argue with a woman who reads. It's likely she can also think!

Hello DDA!! Well, after days without a computer again, then vacation, then general craziness, it's been too long since I've been able to stop in! I hope all is well with everyone.

From the few things I've garnered...

Glynis - I'm glad everyone is finally able to get out of the house. Do you know what day you started posting your pictures? I'd like to go back and look at them.

Deb - Hope the rain isn't ruining your trip too much!

Anne Marie - Good luck on the move. I can't believe it's finally here!

We're all doing pretty well. Nothing too much going on other than the usual craziness. We had a good vacation last week even though it was crazy hot. My cousin, the one I posted about on Facebook who lost his house to a fire two weeks ago, came into town on Saturday with four of his five kids - 3, 7, 8, 9. They hung out an swam on Sat and we took them all to Six Flags on Sunday - another insanely hot and humid day, but they had a blast. Now we're just trying to make it until the temps finally break some without going nuts. Phil recently changed work locations to a closer one and it's also resulted in him being back up to almost 40 hours which was an added bonus. He also seems to like this store better which is nice too. I think that's about all from this front. I hope everyone is doing well around the DDA!
