We are going to have a long weekend at Colonial Williamburg before we go to the new house.

Do you have a company moving you, Anne Marie? Will they get it all done in one day, or will you be without stuff for a few days?

Yes, Dana's company has hired a moving company to pack us up. They take 3 days to pack everything. Apparantly they will not insure anything I pack so i can't do anything. I did pack Daniel's legos since there 1 billion of those.

We have my neices & nephews birthday party to go to & then back home for some packing. Not sure what we are doing for Father's Day as there is so much to get done here...

Yep, we are leaving tomorrow evening after the kids get back from their dad's. I'm not at all ready. I do have some lists made, and that's about it. I got 3/4 of the back yard mowed before the storms arrived. I need to get that and the front finished before I leave or I will come back to a jungle.

I'm getting showered and then heading off to the grocery and Target.

Glynis, it's so nice to see so many pictures with YOU in them! You look fabulous...didn't you just have a baby?!!

Thanks, Amy! If you look closely, you'll see that most of the pics of me are from the back or the waist up. I told Alan not to show too much of my "mommy pouch." But, as you can see, I'm trying to get over my aversion to being in pictures. It's tough, but hopefully, my kids will remember me being in the pictures.

Glynis - thanks for another instalment and pictures. I didn't realize just how big your group was. WOW!

25! It was a large group! We didn't try to stay together all the time, but for the most part we did. It was nice being with all my siblings. My 2 SIL's brought their parents, and my kids love them, too. I think my kids are really lucky. They have my dad, Alan's mom and current husband, and then 2 other sets of grandparents. The "adopted" grandparents treat my kids just like their own grandkids, and I love that! You just can never have enough people who love your kids!

Wow! I hadn't realized that it was so close! How are you all feeling about it? Given the pictures of the new kitchen, is it going to inspire you to do some cooking? I could throw together a file of tried and tested, and completely beginner recipes. Just let me know!

I have moved more times since my marriage than I ever thought I would, and never was lucky enough to have a company move us! Alan does have it down to a science, though. However, I HATE IT! I would be completely happy not to ever move again! I'll just enjoy the "new house" smell through you!

Tammi - In case I don't get back on before you leave, I hope you have a great time! I'm jealous of being able to relax on a beach! We were at the beach, but it wasn't very relaxing. The waves were too big, and Alan is too much a child to take very good care of the kids in the water. Too much stress for me!

Well, we are on day 5 of our voluntary "quarantine." If all goes well, we should be able to go out into the world again on Tuesday morning. I CAN'T WAIT! I love my family, but we've been kept together way too much this month. I need to be able to shove the kids out the door for the whole day. They are bored, and missing their friends, too.

On the bright side, it looks like Jacob, Leslie and Timothy will be spared. None of them has shown any symptoms, and we're almost all in the clear. Keep the pixie dust coming our way until we know for sure on Tuesday.

Ann Marie now that the time to move is here, how do you feel?

Terry, Elin, Tammi and anyone else who likes to vacation at the beach, what draws you there? When Dawn and I were very young my family always spent a week at the beach, but now that I am adult there is no desire to go.

I must say that just after John and I were married, Dawn a cousin and I went go to NJ a few times, but not for the beach. Where we stayed there were rides, games and plenty of food up and down the boardwalk.

Well, things pretty much stink around here! I thought we were in the clear, since Jacob and Leslie hadn't shown any symptoms. However, we were all watching "Narnia" this afternoon, playing Disney UNO, and Jacob started complaining of a headache. I took his temp, and sure enough, a fever. Then he started having chills. Before we called the doctor, I took Leslie's temp., and she has a small one, as well. She says she feels fine, but since it's the weekend, I asked the doctor to go ahead and prescribe the Tamiflu for both of them. He did, and Alan is heading out to pick it up soon.

At least the whole family has now had it, and now is immune to it. Hopefully that will mean something in the Fall when it's supposed to come back badder than ever. It's small comfort now. Especially to kids who have been cooped up in the house since Monday. Looks like we get to extend the quarantine until Thursday at the earliest. Wish us luck that we don't kill each other!
