Well that is cake of choice for birthdays here....I am making them this morning for Cassidy's Spanish class tomorrow (they are having a party to celebrate the end of school...which works out great as a a birthday party: :rotfl:) and picking up Costco ones for Abi's party Friday and leftovers will go to the recital Sunday.

I am having a heck of a time today as I have a sore that is in an inconvenient spot and it hurts no matter what I am doing. :headache:

Elizabeth, do you really have clothes for an entire WDW trip plus enough to wear while waiting those 12 days? I do laundry almost daily, and there is no way that I could ever be packed TWELVE DAYS ahead of a trip. I guess I need more clothes! :rotfl:

Have I told you all that I can't wait until Monday, May 18th?! I've told everyone else, I'm sure. The preparation for the synchro meet is stressing me out (and keeping me way too busy), and then I will be at the pool for most of Friday and all day Sunday. Since Miles' 10th birthday is Saturday, I'm trying to get out of having to be at the pool at all that day. I did get my program to the printer--YAY for that being done!

I called about that position in the school, and she told me that they are still in the process of setting up interviews. We'll see. I really, really want this position, but it's not life or death (or even food on the table at this point). No word from IBM yet or any new rumors that I've heard about the "impending" personnel cuts. I'd much rather he keep his job than me be offered this one if I had to make a choice.

I need to take a shower and head to the printer to check out a sample. I'll try to sneak in a few minutes later to catch up with all of you.

Have a great day, DDA!

Yes, I do have that many clothes. :) 2 weeks worth in the suitcases, and another week or so still in the closet. I already have my shirts sectioned off - I won't wear them until we get to WDW. I will wear my WDW shorts up until the 12 day mark, then I will switch to my "other" shorts. I also have new stuff with the tags still attached that I am not allowed to have unless I lose more weight. If I don't lose more weight I will take them back to the store. That's my incentive. :rolleyes1

I hope they call you for an interview! :wizard:

Hmm. OK. Put me down for eating the cupcakes, too. I wouldn't want Tammi to have to do that without help. ;) But I can just have one cupcake because I really want those new clothes!

Sounds like we could all use a group hug. :grouphug:

Got a manicure & a pedicure today. Ahhhhhh:cloud9:

I'm in limbo with the packing now....just waiting for the last minute stuff and doing that last load of laundry.

:rolleyes1 :lovestruc:bride: <--from Stephanie
WOW! Look at your ticker!

Does anyone know where I can find a Princess trash can before June 6th?
disneystore.com does not have one.
Have you tried Walmart? Maybe you could decropage a plain one with Princess clipart.

Good Morning,

I'm waiting for my granddaughter to arrive, she's spending the day with me today, and it will be our first time with just the two of us.
Have a great day!

Oh yes!!! Jacob came to me last night and asked if he could take me to that movie on a "date." We did that with the first one, and he really wants to do it again. I'm all for one on one time with my little guy before he stops wanting to spend time with me!

I may need Elizabeth to come over and help coordinate my packing efforts :rotfl2:...I just can't seem to get done....and Saturday is getting awfully close!!

In about an hour we have the consultation with the orthopedic surgeon regarding Bill's knees...this is a new guy, so I hope he likes him.
:wizard:Hope things go well with the surgeon.

:wizard:Good luck getting through the next 6 days!

I thought Elizabeth had enough clothes for 2 outfits per day of her Disney trip.;)

I do have enough for 2 outfits per day. :)

So, 12 days prior to departure I will have approximately 28 outfits in the luggage. Last year I had 32 outfits in the luggage because the trip was longer. Then there were some clothes I just couldn't bear to leave at home, so I actually had more like 34 outfits.

I have 8 or 10 pairs of Levi's denim shorts that are no good for WDW - too thick. So those are what I wear leading up to the trip.

The shorts I take to WDW are the Jones NY Sport twill ones. I have tan, black, white, navy, chocolate, olive. Tan is my favorite so I have lots of those. :thumbsup2

I just now got the cupcakes into the oven.....with the position of the owie I can't sit or stand for very long and I didn't sleep well last night so the living room will have to wait until tomorrow if I can get the owie to disappear...or forget about it.:rotfl:

Kelli- Have fun!!

Bernadette- I cannot remember if I ever wished you a Happy Birthday. So...

Happy Birthday!!! Sorry it's so late.

Theresa- :wizard:I hope you heal fast. I would help with the cupcakes, if I lived closer. And by help, I mean baking them, not eating them!!!

Janet- I hope the specialist can pinpoint Gary's troubles.

Kristine- Hope the appointment went well!!

Beth- Lots of :wizard: your way for securing an interview. Good luck with the swim meet.

Becky- Lots of :wizard: for your friends.

Glynis- I hope Timothy settles down soon. Your date sounds lovely!:goodvibes

Elizabeth- I am still trying to figure out why everyone was doubting if you really had that many shorts!!!

Debbie- I hope you are enjoying the day with your princess:

Tammi- I love that you get to request a certain teaching style. Our school is so small so I'm not sure we have many different styles. However, I am requesting specifically that Mo gets the same kindergarten teacher that Em had. Even though said teacher has told me that she can make "special requests" as well ;) As for Em, I will be requesting that she not get the male 4th grade teacher. I think he is involved in some very scandalous behavior involving one of my neighbors and I prefer not to have to deal with him.

Deb- I am glad Colby's IEP meeting went well.

Heidi- Cannot wait for Night at the Museum 2.

For those I missed, :wizard:and 's

Well, all my free time today was instantly zapped away. The print shop called to let me know that my borders were too close to the edge and were getting cut off. I could either let it go or resize all the designs. Being a semi-perfectionist, I chose to resize everything.

Theresa, I hope you owie is better tomorrow! pixiedust: Will a soak in a warm bath help?

Elizabeth, you have quite a system! I currently own 4 pairs of pants total, no shorts, no capris. You can see why I would have a harder time packing that far in advance. :rotfl:

Glynis, what a sweetheart Jacob is! :lovestruc

I have to make cupcakes tomorrow for Miles' class on Friday. If things really go south tomorrow, I can always make them Friday morning and run them up to the school, but it's better if they are ready to go when he leaves. I also have to get strawberries and chocolate dip them for his "at home" cake (and make that cake, too). I need to wrap his presents and plan his treasure hunt. I also need to make the traditional birthday sign for him to see when he wakes up on his birthday. Some of that I can get done on Friday morning, but I do have to be at the meet by 3 pm. Before the meet, I need to pick up the programs from the printer and also make a bunch of copies for registration, etc. Yes, it's going to be a busy couple of days. (Not to mention that preschool ends on Wednesday, and I have a bunch of things to do for the end-of-year gifts, picnic, etc.)

 to all! I feel bad that I can't "talk" to each of you!

Tammi, do you have any advice on "ballet" hair? Mo has her recital coming up and I need help!!! I am hoping I can make it work with out resorting to shaving her bald and gluing a bun to her head.

Lots of gel. Wet the hair, put the gel in, and pull it back. Get a hairnet from CVS or Walgreens, and wrap the hairnet around the bun to keep it all in. Good luck. Alyssa's is going to be hard for me this year, since she got it cut. I may buy a stick on bun just to make it look like she has hair.

I would say exactly what Tammi did, but I bet that Beth might have another way since the syncro girls have to have their hair stay in place IN the water. For some reason clear jello comes to mind.:confused3

I got a call from a teacher at the school today wanting me to lifeguard a field trip to the principal's pond. It's partially during my work day and it isn't for a grade that any of our 5 children (neice and nephew included ;)) are in so I told her that I'd see if I could find a couple of people. If it were one of our kids I wouldn't mind, but it isn't and it's a pond :scared:

Thank you!!! At least you had Alyssa's hair cut ;) Mo decided not that long ago that her bangs required a trim. :headache:

Where do you get those "stick on" buns? Claires?

Bernadette thanks I will try out Walmart, I just didn't want to run all over for a trash can. Of course I will need to get something more then the trash can, but thats one thing her mother said she needs/wants.

As for decoupodge, I don't do crafts, no talent. It would just be a big ole mess and I would probably hurt myself in the process.

thanks all for owie (and cupcake eating) wishes (I gotta say that sounds funny!) I did a hot compress on it and it feels better but it's on a seam and I have to sit through the longer of two concerts tonight. :rolleyes1

Most department stores carry Disney bed and bath. I know that I saw Tink trash cans and I 'think' I saw princesses too.

I would also try Target as they have a ton of Disney bath items.
