I like the blue tie, but I'm not sure how it would look with black pants. I think it would work with Navy pants though. I think you'll be able to tell once you put all the pieces together.

I think the blue might work if he is wearing brown pants. However, not that I'm a big fashionista, but I was always taught that brown and black or brown and navy don't match. For instance, would you were black shoes with brown pants, or vice versa? If it were me, I would stick with a solid brown tie with brown pants. Good luck!

I found a packet of Manischewitz Split Pea Soup mix in my cupboard. I made it up this morning and had a cup for breakfast and another just now. I didn't think to check the sodium until after my second cup. 990 mg per one cup serving! And it contains MSG. Eeek! I should probably start the ibuprofen now for the headache that's coming, though it didn't bother me this morning. It is so good, though. Next time, I'll only use a little of the "seasoning" packet.

Beth-I would do a solid blue tie that matches/coordinates with the blue stripe in the shirt. (couldn't help myself from posting)

And I would do a solid brown.

This is why I would just take the shirt

Thanks! There were no solid ties that I could find in brown, tan, or blue. I'll see how it looks when he puts it all on. I can always make him wear his white shirt.

Our kitty isn't doing so well today. He seems to be staggering and not making small jumps up onto furniture. He has not been eating well the last few weeks and he has us all worried.

So not only am I stressing about dressing Matthew, I have nothing decent to wear myself. I also need to figure out how to get two other kids to activities with only my dh around. Then I read the whole notice, and part of this annual awards dinner is a lecture, "Highlights of Chemistry." Oh, and I have to pay to park on campus and walk forever between the paid lot and the science building. Just shoot me now.

Sorry to whine about something so small and inconsequential.
