I know that most of you on here are not as old as I am but maybe you can appreciate this as much as I did when I got it in my inbox from a much younger friend this morning. Remember that Bob and I celebrated our 35th anniversary last July...

Older Women

After being married for 35 years, I took a careful look at my wife one day and said, "Honey, 35 years ago we had a cheap apartment, a cheap car, slept on a sofa bed and watched a 10-inch black and white TV, but I got to sleep every night with a hot 22-year-old gal.

Now I have a $500,000.00 home, a $45,000.00 car, nice big bed and plasma screen TV, but I'm sleeping with a 60-year-old woman. It seems to me that you're not holding up your side of things."

My wife is a very reasonable woman. She told me to go out and find a hot 22-year-old gal, and she would make sure that I would once again be living in a cheap apartment, driving a cheap car, sleeping on a sofa bed and watching a 10-inch black and white TV.

Aren't older women great? They really know how to solve a mid-life crisis...

We would tease each other and say it would take too much to train a new one!!!!! I told him I would take him for everything!!!! Thank goodness he is understanding!!!!!

Good afternoon all-

I am reading along....but I think I will be going back to posting sporadically at best. Despite what I put on Facebook(both of my girls are on there), this weekend was not boring but there is too much going on that I really can't figure out myself and I am trying to come to terms with that I don't really know how much to tell anybody or who to trust.

Every time I think the tears have stopped they come back and worse. So I find that when I am not doing resumes I am finding myself doing mindless things.

Chuck's mom had a blocked artery. They have taken care of that. They are putting in a pacemaker tomorrow. I'm hoping this is the end of the issues. We'll have to wait it out and see.

that this and the pacemaker fix things.

I got a call late last night telling me I didn't need to be in until 7 AM today. There was some sort of schedule glitz. I certainly didn't argue It is cold and rainy here so maybe I'll be able to get some things done around the house today.

It is cold and rainy here too, Deb. This is the eighth day in a row our skies have been covered with rain clouds. It is so depressing! According to our illustrious weatherman we are to get some sun. on SUNDAY! Appropriate day for it to show up, but...

Good morning, DDA! I've been trying to read along, but I haven't had much time for posting. This meet that we're hosting (along with the end of the preschool year and normal "busyness") is going to be the end of me. I can't wait until May 18th!

Other than that stress, things have been good around here.

Heidi, I'm sorry that I missed your birthday!

One of Laura's synchro teammates is injured and may not be able to swim at the qualifying meet. That "significantly lowers" (coach's words) are chances of making Nationals and going to Fl. I'm feeling conflicted about it. It will be good to save the money, and I think I have dh almost talked into a WDW trip next summer if his employment status doesn't change.

Matthew has an awards presentation to go to tonight for some Chemistry Olympiad that he did well at. He wants to wear this shirt but has no tie to go with it. I'm not good at the whole tie matching thing. What should I look for? (And I do realize the shirt needs a good ironing. )
