Here is some exciting news.....

My son-in-law just posted on Facebook....received a call from the White House communications staff last night. Myself, Guenna, and Nicholas were invited to have a 30-minute chit-chat with President Obama Wednesday around 11AM at the White House. We're going, of course, along with only about 8 other people who were invited and who helped him in the early days of the campaign. At around 11:30 we'll "meet the press" to talk about the meeting.

Then Guenna posted.....OK, everyone. We may or may not be standing behind President Obama when he gives his televised speech (check CNN, CNBC) between 11-12:30 midday. And Nick has a big letter to give to the President from his school. Loving it!

Guenna told me will be wearing a t-shirt that says "One day I will be able to vote" he remembered he had the shirt and when he realized what was going to happen, he asked to wear it. Of course, it will be under a button up!!!!
WOW!!!! How cool!

Bernadette - :yay: for your new laptop! What did you end up with? The Sony Vaio?
Thanks! Yes the Vaio. Now I just have to get used to the keyboard!

:woohoo:for the new laptop!

Sorry to hear about your sil, hope she is well soon :wizard:
Thanks! My SIL is just at home with antibiotics. I'm really worried about my coworker's boyfriend. Several years ago (maybe 10+ as I've been there for 17 years and she's been there longer) her then boyfriend killed himself. She is super nice but likes the bad boys. Her current boyfriend is no dream (doesn't really work....) but she loves him.

Bernadette-Cassidy would be so jealous...she wants a laptop...I am not sure why....but what do I know??
Honestly I'm still not convinced I needed it. I want to be free to be able to take a million photos at Disney! I've got to say I do like it!

Taxes are done! I just efiled. I'm getting a very, and I mean VERY, slight refund. But no matter how slight, it's better than having to pay.
Yay for getting them done. I filed the fed electronically last night-we mailed the state Saturday-we owed so I wasn't in a hurry to get them filed and didn't want to pay the fee to electronically file the state ones.

Bernadette- :yay:on the new laptop!
Thanks!

So my day went like this...

At Lu's pre-op...
Lu had a hearing test, she could not hear any of the softest sounds they played. She still has fluid in both her ears. Her throat is redder than red. She is on yet another antibiotic. She was beyond tired and threw a lovely tantrum!

Came home, fed Lu and put her down for a nap. I scarfed down a sandwich before I picked up Mo at her friend's house.

At Mo's well visit-
She has grown 4 inches this past year. And she has asthma! What?!?!? She started coughing on Saturday. Her doctor listened to her and heard the wheeze. Gave her a breathing treatment and then listened to her again. Yep, asthma. Ok, fine. She is on Singulair and an inhaler. Need to go back in 3 weeks to have her listened to again. Forgot to get her shot record which I need for Kindergarten registration:headache: And Mo had to have a shot which freaked her out! Took 2 of us to hold her while she got the shot.

And our dr wants Em to see a GI dr. She gave me some probiotics in the meantime.

I see lots more doctor visits in our future. Which make Eric very grumpy as he gets the job of staying home with the daycare kids, which then in turn, makes me very grumpy!!

We are so busy with everything that I get on here and read but my mind is always thinking about 30 or 40 things that I can't focus. I am stressed about our camping trip in May, it is fast approaching and I feel woefully unprepared. Lots of other GS activities too that are creeping up on me. I have Mo's party next weekend which means a cake. And then the very next day I have another cake request for Em's best friend. Eek!! We have every weekend booked from now til the end of June!

:hug::hug:what a day:hug::hug::hug: Hope things settle down soon!

OK, I really ought to go to bed as Wednesdays are my early days.

Elizabeth sorry DS is having problems in school.

Theresa sorry the Band director is changing the terms, I hope Cassidy's grades improve

Beth  and Happy Birthday to your first Baby

Deb:hug: that Hunter figured everything out :wizard: continued for Hunter and his Depression/anxoety

Yeah for taxes!!! :confused3:lmao::cool1:

Got our check and this weekend Hal will be looking for a new riding mower. The one we had for almost 20 years finally decided to say "Enough is enough" I would love a new vacuum preferably a Dyson.

This weekend I will be glued to the computer on Saturday to pay for the Magic Meet. That means Hal will have to shop by himself!!!!!

Can I just say how much I love Hal????

This afternoon at work, I was starting to smell a weird odor and could not figure what it was. Stephanie remembered they were starting to redo the floor in the gym. She was leaving to go home and was coughing up a storm and I had about 45 minutes to go. So far she is okay.
My co-worker told me to leave and she would close up at about 15 minutes to close. By then the migraine was starting and I was sick to my stomach. I managed to get home and immediately changed into my pjs and went to sleep on the recliner. The next thing I heard was Hal getting supper ready, emptying the dishwasher and just generally cleaning up. He brought me supper and I was able to eat a little. I am feeling better now but am apprehensive about going in tomorrow. The workers will be here all week and apparently the smell gets worse when they paint the floor.

I really hate that I get migraines from smells. It is very frustrating that I can be sick so fast and cannot control any of it. But at least Hal is understanding about it all. :goodvibes:love:

Hai:lovestruc you are the Man. Terry I hope the migraine goes away. That does not sound like a fun week at work. I hope Steffy is okay and does not get one.

Sounds like you are extremely busy, Robyn. Lots of :wizard: for you and your girls. Nicholas has been using his inhaler since the fall and it has made a world of difference. I think this is the first winter that he hasn't had some sort of bronchial infection.

Terry - what a doll! I hope you don't have a relapse today.

Robyn don't let the busy get you so run down that you get sick. :wizard: :wizard: for the girls.

:yay: for getting taxes done, sorry some of you have to pay.

Terry sorry you and Stephanie will have a rough rest of the week at work.

Hal is a sweetie, John does things like that for me too. :goodvibes

Robyn  I hope you can get the girls all healthy again. I was where you were not so very long ago. I was doing daycare, working at AJ's, running 2 dens, doing all the ordering and planning and executing the big camping trip. I cannot tell you how hard it was to let go of scouts as no one could do the job as well as me ;), but when I finally did I could actually enjoy it more. I got to just be Mom and help the boys and camp with the boys as Mom rather than having all the stress. And guess what...the Pack is still functioning though I do get help me calls every now and then :goodvibes

Way to go Hal :cool1: I hope that you either stay home or somehow deal with the smells today :wizard:

I have today off & it is suppose to get in the 60's today. Not that I have any outdoor plans :rotfl: But it will be nice to have some warmth that is not blowing from the heater!
