I got $54 OW fares to and from Baltimore for the dates we originally had booked!

Good thoughts for your dad.

Could I ask for prayers for my dad? He is on a tour to Paris right now. He sets these tours up with people who come to his festival each year. I got a call from him yesterday, and he told me that one of the tour people died in Paris of a massive heart attack. Dad had to deal with tons of red tape to get her body shipped back to the states, and with mom's death so recent, he's just not in any shape to handle anything like this! I wish I could be with him, but since I can't I'm asking for prayers!

Thanks, everyone, for your thoughts for dad. He called again a little while ago. They had just boarded their cruise ship, and he was feeling much better. I told him to have the other tour organizer take over for a while, and for dad to just relax on the cruise. He seems to be taking my advice. He was sitting in the lounge with a milkshake, and his book. Sounds like a good day to me!

Of course, the reason he is feeling much better is some pretty fabulous news! My baby brother and his wife just found out they are expecting their first baby in the Fall. They called dad in Paris to let him know. Nothing like the news of your 13th grandbaby to make you feel happier!

Good morning...

Had my WW's meeting last night and I was down 3.8lbs this week. I have hit the 180's and a total of 36lbs lost. That has done a lot of for my mood!

Emma has a field trip today to the Baltimore Museum of Industry. They will be learning about life in an oyster cannery, should be interesting!

Tonight is Scouts, which is going to be crazy busy. I received a phone call from the pastor of the church where we meet. He was telling me that the teachers have been complaining that we are leaving the classrooms a mess, 1) We use 1 classroom and 2) we are meticulous about cleaning up after ourselves. A few weeks ago, the teacher whose classroom we use came in and was not pleased we were there. I knew it was coming but I am still upset that we get the bad rap. The pastor, who creeps me out by the way, was very nice about it and has offered to move us to the church side. I get that he is in the middle and that's not a place anyone wants to be, so instead of arguing with him I just politely said we would move where ever we need too. So along with getting relocated we have 4 activities that I need to fit in tonight, which will be interesting trying to keep them moving fast enough for.

It is NOT sunny here... AGAIN! It has been so gloomy for so long you would think we had garnered plenty of precipitation! But, no... we are down 5 inches already for the year. Come on Mother Nature. If you are going to give us clouds, at least put some rain in them!

Good morning.

Back on WW's. I have not been watching what I eat (well I do watch it as it goes in my mouth!) I have let my issues with the move & other things get the better of me.

Anyway I am back on track. No loss to report yet, I am back to square one (my weight in Jan) so that is frustrating but that is my motivation to stay on plan so I am not looking back 3 more month from now saying the same thing.

Me, too. I hesitate to mention it, because I have been so bad at staying on track lately. I really need to work at this now and make it as much a priority as I can. Good luck to you!!!

I learned my lesson with the angel food cake mess....I did a batch in loaf pans....and put them into 3 pans...it smells lovely.

Tonight is another night of cooking demo/class....this time is Italian. . SO I hope to get yummy strawberries at the store and enjoy this cake a bit more than the other.

Thanks, Beth! Josh and Jamie are so excited! I never thought my baby brother would mature enough to want to become a parent, but Jamie has been really good for him! I'm so excited! I just wish they lived closer to the rest of us, but he teaches in Syracuse, New York. Gotta stay where the job is!

Theresa, did I know you were taking a cooking/demo class? What fun! I've always wanted to do something like that, but with little ones, it's hard to find the time. Maybe when they're older, I'll be able to do it! I've also always wanted to learn to quilt. Again, maybe when the kids are older.

It's a freebie I found at our local Sunflower Market....it's every 2 Thursdays. Last time was Indian

I was the youngest by far, but it's fun to learn and get new recipes.

They said there might be 3 dishes tonight...so I will be in heaven.

They also give away some of the ingredients, so I am really hoping to win tonight.

Syracuse is 90 minutes from here! What's more...Matthew will be going to school in Syracuse next year. (We were just there last weekend.) Come visit your baby brother and let me know when you will be there!
