It's good to hear that some of you are scheduling in some "me" time. I think we all crave that though it can be so hard to find the time.

I have read everything, but I feel pulled in a dozen different directions. We no longer have a computer at work as some people couldn't pull themselves away long enough to "work". Apparently the powers that be are finally figuring out that things are not running smoothly so "it is about to hit the fan". I've already been told that I have nothing to worry about and I don't even have to attend the inservice (which they are so conveniently holding from 7 - 9 PM on Sunday and again from 8 - 10 PM on Monday) Since I only agreed to morning and I work a second job evenings as well as taking care of my family they feel it will be okay to watch a video of the inservice later :cool1: I have tossed around going to one of them, but 1) if I can be available one night they will most certainly expect more and 2) I don't think I can bite my tongue over everything. If I'm not there I can't say anything that would get me in trouble :rolleyes1 Hunter is still complaining of tummy aches and he absolutely HATES school (I suspect that may be causing the tummy aches, but he insists that isn't the case). So in order for him to do his homework I need to sit with him and redirect him constantly. That has really cut into my laundry/housework/computer time and last night it cut into my bed time. This too shall pass, but I must be vigilant. On the bright side I am nearly functioning at 100%, Colby is right up there with me and Hunter just has the tummy ache. Chris is complaining less, but that could be because I told him he needs to see a doctor :confused3 The boys bowl in the state bowling tournament this weekend so we have a hotel booked for Saturday night, hopefully all will be well and we will have a nice getaway.

Could Hunter's tummy ache and "hate" of school be because he's so behind from missing so much, or is there a deeper issue? Is Hunter the one who's been having problems with a teacher? I hate to hear of a student not enjoying school at this level. With so much more school in front of him, it would be good to get to the root of the matter, now! I'm so glad you and Chris are on top of things!

Hello friends,

Thanks for the prayers and pixie dust, the news is great, he has no new blockages and his grafts still look good. The lack of energy and shortness of breath is do to the damage that happened with the last episode, the pace maker is running his heart 90% of the time.

Jen - I am so sorry to hear about your friend :hug:

Anne Marie - Congrats on the closing!

Elizabeth - :wizard:PD for DS

Deb - :wizard:PD for Hunter, my youngest had a difficult time in the third grade, so was frightened of her teacher and would start crying about going to school the next day, it took some doing but I finally got her transferred to another class, it was like a miracle.

Janet - I'll continue to pray for good news for you and Gary

Thanks everyoen for your kind words.
We just found out that the viewing will be Friday night and the funeral will be Saturday morning-He is going to have a full firefighter service as he died in the line of duty.
I am thinking about taking Friday off of work as I have a "family" day that I was planning on having to use for the funeral-So i think ill take Friday off and be available in case I am needed to help with anything and if not, ill just take a mental health day.

I talked to my principal today and she told me to take what I needed and offered to get me a sub today..So i think Friday will be it...

Thanks so much

Jen,,,,,,:hug::hug::grouphug:

Hunter is actually 100% caught up as of tonight. He came home from school and hit the books and got everything done :cool1: He did not go to Lacrosse tonight as I wanted to make sure his priorities are in the right order.

Hunter will have his current teacher for this year and next year. He doesn't think it is the teacher that is issue and he definitely prefers the one he has over the other option, he has her for one class and that is usually his most difficult class, no matter what subject she is teaching.

I was an emotional mess with tummy troubles in 5th grade too, my Dad reminded me of that tonight. He said Hunter is just following in Mommy's footsteps. For Nick it was 3rd grade. He seems better tonight, but we've given him (all of them) loads of attention.

Thanks to all who have asked about me.:love: I'm fine except for my sinuses, which are in really bad shape. :sick:

The move was a good move. I love my new home. We are settling in.
Congrats on the new house! Hope your sinus clear soon!:wizard:

I can't get into it right now, but if you all could send some good thought/prayers/pixie dust my way, I certainly would appreciate it!
:wizard::hug:

GOod morning all..I signed online and got on facebok this morning and there is a message that our firefighter has passed away--Im waiting for "official" word, but I believe this may be the case. Even thought I was expecting it, I just cannot stop crying right now..i just want my dad home and i cant even call and tell him because its so early there (well 6, but hes trying to sleep in )
Plus my brother is gone and my mom is sleeping, so of course, i come here
I'm so sorry for your loss.:hug:

We close on our new house today! :goodvibes
:woohoo:

I am taking half a mental day today!! I am paying my aunt to come over at nap time and sit with the kids while I get out of here for a few hours. I need need some time to myself to do something for me. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed and stressed so I am hoping this helps. Nothing major, just need some "face time" with myself. Too many things pulling me in all sorts of directions which isn't going to end anytime soon.
Hope you got to relax a bit today!

Thanks for the well wishes for DS. DH took him to the Dr. and the rapid strep is negative but they went ahead and started him on Amoxil. Hopefully he will feel better tomorrow.
:wizard:Hope the meds kick in quick!

Poor Hunter!:hug:

Wonderful news!

Janet we are praying that you get good news tomorrow. Chris sends his prayers too.

Can someone please explain to me what Owners Occupied Exemption Tax is. What does this do, was there something I was suppose to do when I filed our taxes?

This home owner stuff is so greek to me!

ETA: From reading more, it looks like it decreases our property taxes. I think lol

Deb- Glad everyone is finally feeling better.

Janet - Good thoughts for Gary's test results!

Debbie - Glad to hear your dad is doing OK!

Jen- I am glad you can take Friday off!

Bernadette - I hope you are feeling better! May will be here before you know it! ;)

DS still feels like crap. He was roasting even though he had Advil a couple hours ago, so I gave him some Tylenol. DH is just sure DS can go to school tomorrow. :rolleyes: WRONG.

I hope the DS doesn't have what our boys had. their fevers lasted 6 days :hug::wizard:

I need to finish laundry, proof read Nick's story and finish watching Idol. I will somehow make it to bed on time tonight. Goodnight all.

Hi,

Good luck to Gary!

Jen-:grouphug::wizard:

Anne Marie- Good luck with the house.

Stephanie- Congratulations on the house.

Tom- Good to see you!

I hope that everyone that is sick feels better soon.

I know I am missing someone. I have been reading on my Touch and pedaling the stationary bike. So I can not respond as I read, so I am responding on the laptop. I have night meetings yet Thursday and Friday.

Dad is doing alright but his blood pressure has been low. Tomorrow he goes to the doctor and they are supposed to remove staples.

Elizabeth - Yuck! Hope DS is feeling better tomorrow!

Becky - Hope your dad's blood pressure comes back up soon. I'm glad that he's doing okay.

Thank you, Elizabeth. What a perfectly ditto-able post. I was sitting here making a mental list of who I needed to comment on and up this popped! :goodvibes

I am sorry that DS is not feeling better yet.
