What job are you interviewing for? I would think one step up from what you would wear to perform the job would be the way to go :confused3

to tell you the truth...it could be for any of 3/4 jobs...mainly on the floor. So what is one step up from khakis and red polo??:rotfl:

Oh no. Didn't you say her last boyfriend passed away :hug:

I didn't mean to insinuate that you are being too permissive. I'm sorry if it came off that way. That is just how we have had to deal with our boys having grades dropping, but there was not any other factors involved here. i have a bunch of probably too strict rules here. Like if you stay home sick from school you MUST take a nap. That one tends to stop the kids from making up illnesses. My DH reminded me this evening that I am not the typical Mom and I guess this is another one of my quirks. You know your son best. I also understand your frustration with him saying that he doesn't know what the problem is. Hunter did the same thing for 2 months, then suddenly it just came to him. We can't even get him an appointment for therapy or a med eval until June. June makes no sense as school is a contributory factor and we will be heading into summer. I will probably make an appointment for early October that way we can be prepared for what might come next year. If all is okay I can cancel, if not we can proceed.

Wow, that is very impressive. I'm sure this is a day they will never forget.

Tammi I meant to comment earlier that I loved your Easter pictures. It is nice to see that people still get dressed up and celebrate the religious side of Easter and not just the Bunny side of things :thumbsup2

You may want to schedule the appointment for June, as although he will be out of school it may be good to give him the chance to talk to someone when the issues are less. He may be able to work things out then and work on coping methods for when he goes back to school.

Either way good luck!:wizard::hug:

And here is what careerbuilder says:

Clothes make the (wo)man

If punctuality is important, dressing appropriately is downright crucial. Hiring managers complain that candidates come to interviews dressed in T-shirts, jeans and flip-flops.

"Research the company dress code and dress one level above company policy," suggests Dawn Gill, district director of Spherion Staffing Services in the Southeast.

"If you find the company dress code is business casual, for example, then plan to wear dress slacks or a skirt and blouse," she says. "If the company code is casual, plan to dress at the business-casual level -- which may mean khakis or other comfortable slacks or skirts paired with proper shirts."

If you have any doubt what clothing will be appropriate, wear a suit.

So I would say go with dress slacks or a skirt and blouse.

I was leaning toward a skirt and top (probably a sweater)

Good morning. :)

It is FINALLY going to be sunny and warmer here!

It looks like my coworker's boyfriend has lung cancer.:sad2: I think he's in his 40's. They have him sedated, on a ventilator, and on a rocking bed to try to clear his lungs of the pneumonia. My heart really aches for her.

I would think a nice top with slacks, good luck!

Hi all,

Well, what a day. The traffic was horrible and it was rainy and Guenna was not sure if they would make it. They did manage to get there on time. They went to the Eisenhower building which is next to the White House. They could not take any pictures but a staff photographer was there. Our local news team did put a picture on and a phone interview while broadcasting the event. They even made the nightly news.:cool1:

Chris is right behind the Pres in this pic and then Guenna.

Guenna said Obama remembered her and she was able to give him the letter from Nick and his class and he took the time to read it and there were pictures taken by the staff photog who will get copies to them.
They left right after since they were so tired but ended up having trouble with the car, so they just got home and are exhausted.

How exciting!

Deb, Bernadette, and Terry--Thanks for Matthew's birthday wishes! He had a good day...nothing really exciting but good.
