DDA Chapter 19

Oh, how I miss the days of posting parties. It is always nice to have a lot to check up on when I have a chance to get on. Things have been so slow lately.

Chuck told my mom that we were getting divorced. Does that count as scandalous?

What a fun day!

First, we got to the festival with plenty of time to check out the art displays. It turns out Alyssa had 3 pieces submitted. Then we lined up to get into the theater for the music performance. They sang, played and acted out Little Grunt and the Big Egg. It was narrated by the principal from our school There were 17 elem. schools represented with about 10 students from each. Each school had on a certain color shirt. It was amazing. The kids practiced at their own schools for weeks. This morning was the first time that they ALL practiced together. They did 2 run-throughs before the show. All those music teachers deserve a huge round of applause. There were kids acting and playing drums, recorders, maracas, triangles, xylophones, and various other instruments. I took lots of pictures. Maybe I'll get around to posting some.

After that we came home and had lunch and played various board games, since the weather is so crappy. Today is also Bob's bday so we took him out to dinner at Outback. There menu has changed recently. It was delicious. He was even serenaded by the staff.

Now I'm way too stuffed this late at night.

I'm sorry so many of you are still feeling crappy.

I told Mom that she could help me furnish my apartment. She freaked and wanted to know "What apartment?" So Chuck told her we were getting divorced. She did NOT think that was the least bit funny. Chuck & I thought so.

So in the train station back before heading back to the rest of the park. I ran into my friend Nicole, she was working as a CM at the station. I did not run into my friend Kane who performs in the drumming show.

Vicki it is not April 1st yet

If I get this job, I will be getting an apartment in Lansing. I can't live half time for the next couple of years out of a suitcase. I'll be asking for enough money to cover the extra living expenses plus a little extra.

Tammi - sounds like a wonderful day! I am glad you were able to celebrate yourBob's birthday. I am stunned that we were not attending a Mystery Dinner Theater tonight with you two!

Yes, well, I apologized to him that he didn't get all the bells and whistles for his bday like I did for mine.
