DDA Chapter 19

Deb, I hope your household is feeling better soon, too! :(

We go to the doctor today for the girls' 9-month check up. It's perfect timing, since Elise has gotten quite sick again and Avery has the GI bug Deb was describing. Three times yesterday and last night she emptied her stomach all over her crib, which is impressive considering she isn't drinking anything to throw up! :confused3 I know they wont' do anything for either of them, but it makes me feel better knowing they at least know about it! :)

Becky

The other part of us is German (and Kyle's family is mostly German, hence the last name) and I hate all of that food, too! :) My mom's side is almost entirely English though, and that I can handle :thumbsup2 :teeth:

Tammi- I hope Alyssa can kick whatever it is she has. :wizard:

Jennifer- :wizard: for Elise. Are you and Avery feeling better?

Deb- :wizard: for your boys.

Lucy has developed that cough that Molly had last Thursday and Friday. I guess I should call her doctor to see if she wants to see her. Is it summer yet?

Robyn, thanks for asking. I'm feeling better, just a cold and it might be tapering. Avery is sick still though. She has a little cold (which was the first illness to pop up since our return), but now has this nasty GI bug. Diarrhea and Vomiting, not eating/drinking. I'm trying to keep her hydrated but she will have nothing to do with anything! She's acting fine otherwise, though, so hopefully it will be short lived. We're on about 36 hours now.... so soon? I hope!

Elise is acting mostly well, too  She just has a cough worse than any she had when she was very ill, and has required her albuterol every day the last few. Her nose is running like a faucet and her chest sounds awfully junky again.... :sad2:

Is Lucy feeling like herself again? Did you get an appointment with the ENT?

Sending a blanket of :wizard: to all that are not feeling well & to their little ones

AKL IPO called me tonight to tell me my flight to MCO didn't exist. I gave them the new flight number for ME and then had them cancel San Angel Inn. I added Chef de France at 6:10pm for Sunday night but now I'm rethinking that. Have any of you read about the small animitronic Remy they have there? I have heard he isn't there on Sundays and only til 6pm so I'm thinking I should do a different day. I don't know if I'll stick with Chef de France or not.

We have the Sunrise Safari on Sunday morning and then no TS meals on Monday or Tuesday so I think I'll change things around again.

I was also considering The Wave-I think Joe would think it was pretty cool as he loves the CR. I was also considering Wolfgang Puck Cafe. I was thinking about paying OOP for California Grill to use the 2 extra TS points for these 2 places but I don't know if I really want a TS meal everyday.

Hmmmmm.....I think trips with picky eaters or non eaters might have been easier.

We love Puck's, and it ia a good use of a single credit. We were hoping they would still have the 50% off lunch for DVC, but they don't. That was only valid for several weeks. :guilty: We're still going to go for lunch to keep the cost down - I think we can get 10 or 20% off with the AP or the DVC. They don't take TiW.

So, my latest saga.....Alyssa has been home since Tuesday, the 10th, with a fever. It got up to 103 that day. Strep and flu test negative. Back in on Thursday for bloodwork. Fine. Still getting up to 100.something every afternoon. So tomorrow morning we are going back for more bloodwork. She has a horrible cough, that comes and goes. But once it comes, she goes into some major coughing spells. Other than the cough and fever she is fine. Eats, plays, is active. Mainly she is bored. I did take her to ballet tonight, just to let her get out of the house and do something. Whatever it is, it's got to be something viral and just needs to run it's course. Worst case I think would be viral pneumonia. But man, I'm burning some sick leave.

Wow! She has been sick for a long time! I hope she is better soon!! :wizard:

Ditto!

Sorry to pop in on just one thing but I am trying to read along before a busy day and just had to comment that we LOVED the Wave. It was our best meal of the trip, and the steak rivaled LeCellier (which is saying a lot coming from me! ;)) and Palo!

Oh!! That is good to know! thanks, Jennifer. :goodvibes

No problem! I guess I should point out that I had the filet, which apparently isn't always served? They had a steak each night, but it varies. That would probably make a difference... but mine was excellent! Kyle's meal (which I can't remember at the moment but I'm sure he could) was great, too!

I am glad you are feeling better but sorry the girls aren't. :( I hope the bug is over soon and that Avery doesn't share with her sister. You gals deserve a break.'s

We have an appt with the ENT on Apr 6. I am almost positive he will go ahead and place the tubes. He's pretty easy to convince!

Lucy is acting fine but that cough is what has me worried. Any idea if Augmentin works on bronchitis?

It always just depends on whether it's viral or bacterial. If it's bacterial, then yes it should. It's what Kyle would prescribe first, though some docs are going to Omnicef first. Augmentin is great for it, but obviously if it's viral (which is honestly more frequent, unfortunately), then an antibiotic would do more harm than good. These coughs going around are awful!

:grouphug: :grouphug: Becky :grouphug: :grouphug: I just read about AS and am just speechless. What an ordeal. Hope your Dad is on the mend. :goodvibes

Debbie.. Aubrey is just precious. Such a cutie.

Jennifer, the girls are adorable in their outfits. Love all of the WDW pictures. Must admit, I haven't seen them all, but the ones I did see were precious.

Deb.. hope your boys start feeling better. :goodvibes

Tammi, hope the doctors can figure out what is wrong with Alyssa. As for Bob, my DD is a lot like you. Doesn't want any PDAs. Hates being hugged. Rarely says I love you except to her kids. My son on the other hand is touchy feely, always PDAs, ends every conversation with I love you, calls contantly just to talk, and I think he would have his arms surgically attached to his wife if he could. It took her a LONG time to get used to all of his affection, but she knew she could count on him, he would walk through fire for her, Halle Berry could be naked on their lawn and he would go out and throw a blanket on her, and if she and I were in a boat and it tipped over, as much as he loves me (and believe me, my son LOVES his mother) he would pull her out of the water first. So in return for a couple of hand holds and a lot of kisses, she got a dependable mate for life, who would die for her.

Good morning!

Hope all the sickies feel better soon pixiedust: Stephanie was sick on Sunday and I thought I was getting it last night, but so far I'm ok. Phew!
