DDA Chapter 19

Ok, here is our link! Let me just say that I am SO glad I didn't pre-order the CD! The first 3-4 days, I could count on one hand the number of photographers we saw, and I was SEARCHING for them! For example, we spent a lot of time on MS USA before and after our CP dinner, and we saw 1 photographer. ONE. Not one every 10 feet, ONE. None to either side of the castle, none around the corridor between Innoventions at Epcot. It was ridiculous! I searched in earnest to find them so that we could all be in some pictures since I'm always behind the camera and whatever baby I'm holding is subsequently too close to the camera for many shots.... no luck. I'm surprised we even ended up with 100, but even then most of them are crap shots during character interaction. Many of them are totally blurry even.... I took better pictures with my camera that didn't cost a fortune! There are a few that turned out cute, but I would have been FURIOUS if I would have bought the CD! Don't worry, we have plenty more on my computer but this might tide some of you over ;)

OK... brainstorming here. Skip if so desired. ;)

In figuring this stuff I did no add in for taxes or tip. It will all be the same in the long run, the way I figured the amounts. I did not figure any appetizers or alcohol since that would be covered OOP with TiW regardless. Same with our dinner at Flying Fish. We would pay OOP for that.

Unless someone finds something wrong with my thinking here, I am adding the DDP.

DDP - cost to us is $480 for 6 nights:

  • We chose TS places and possible entrees. Total for entree/dessert/drink for 2 people for 6 meals = $425.00 (give or take $25 or so)

  • We chose CS places and choices for meal/dessert/drink for 2 people for 6 meals = $160 (or so)

  • Snack Credits we will use at F&W and will come very close to $4 for each selection so I figured $48 for that. I know we will use all our snack credits!

The only TiW discount would be on the TS locations we have chosen so we could potentially save $85 (20%) doing TiW vs. DDP. That brings the cost down to:
TS - $340
CS - $158
Snx - $48
total - $546

ARRRGGHGHGH - it wants me to sign in!!

That's what always seems to happen now... probably because they want everyone to have an account! :) Do you have your own? The last time we had this problem I just signed in with my account and could view the links that were posted (by various DDAers).

The link didn't work for me :sad1:

You'd think Disney would make it easier to share! After we all had trouble viewing Amy's, I thought I had it figured out. I haven't had any trouble since..... what are you all seeing?

If I sign in with my own account (any that you've used to view your own pictures, etc), then click the link, I can always see other people's.......

Elin - Do you always order dessert with CS? I find that is another thing that skews the perception of savings with DDP. There is no way I would order dessert at a CS meal because most of those pre-packaged cakes and brownies & stuff are so gross.

I signed in, but it's been "loading" for over five minutes.

That happened to me once... did you refresh your screen? I got on from my mom's account (just so I knew it wasn't letting me in since I "owned" the link), and it loaded for a few minutes until I refreshed, then it worked fine.

So frustrating, always!

Maybe too many of us are trying to see the same pictures? Mickey's arm just keeps on spinning :rotfl:

Thank you for all your sweet comments about Noah's pictures. :goodvibes

We had another successful and expensive session with Alyssa yesterday. The photographer took some pictures of the three of them, too, which aren't perfect, but they are very cute. I'll be sure to share when JCPenney sends me the link.

It's such a shame this always goes together! :rotfl: I am always encouraged by the lower bill when we have a poor session! :teeth:

let me try that now!

Becky, nice pictures. Lots of :wizard: for your dad!

Marci, sending  down to Texas. This economy is so stressful!

Tia, you have so much going on in your life. Sending :grouphug: to your whole family!

Glynis, thinking of you!

Deb, I hope today is a better day!

Debbie, adorable pictures of Aubrey and Minnie! :goodvibes

My sister wet the bed at night until she was 8 or 9. She eventually outgrew it. My grandfather wet the bed until he was in his teens. He told me a story once about how embarrased he was when he wet the couch when he was visiting someone when he was a teen.

according to my SIL it is really common for boys to be night wetters for a long time if they have male relatives who have always had to get up at least once a night to pee. My nephew was 8 or 9 the last time I know he wet the bed on a regular basisand I am betting at 13 he still does occasionally....he has a deep REM cycle.
