Don't look now, but I think Cassidy is growing up right in front of you! Seriously, though, I don't think I ever want to see my girls making out. Too icky!

Oh, don't I know it...we've had the can I go on birth control please mom? talk. That was the most awkward talk because I had to tell her that we will have to have a long talk with the dr. and that even if we got her on the pill she needed to make sure he used nonlatex male protection.....as she is living proof that I am allergic to latex.

What a great photo!!!!

What race did Becky and Jennifer run? I found Vicki on the results, but not the other two so I wasn't sure if they ran the Family 5K (no results) or the Half...

Becky, Jennifer, Kyle, Chuck and I all ran in the 5K. I also ran the Half. Elise and Avery got to ride in the stroller. I was just a short distance behind Kyle and Jennifer in the 5K. They were amazing running with the stroller.

And I owe apologies to Becky. I thought she had decided not to run! I will go back and fix my post! :flower3:

I'm testing the link for my photopass pictures. There are some good ones at Hollywood Studios of me in my bling.

I think this worked. Starting at picture 132 shows pictures of me at Hollywood Studios with my bling.
I think I need to get rid of my cookies-it just gives me the winding hand.

I uploaded more pictures to my Photobucket Account.

Those are great! The party looks fun-some really cool characters! Love the photo of you & Chuck at AK. The treehouses are looking cool.

Is that photo of Walt with the quote at One Man's Dream? I've got to get a photo of Joe with that. He LOVES Walt.

Well, mine have gotten the lecture that unless your arm is falling off or you need to have surgery, DON'T GO TO THE NURSE ANYMORE.

My girlfriend thinks that what I said was horrible. Mind you, she is single with no children.

I know I can come here and you all can relate! ;)

I know that is a difficult talk, but trust me when I say that kids are doing way more than we want to hear about at way younger ages. Both of my jobs involve teenagers and the stories thet tell :faint: It is none of my business, but I would definitely put her on birth control, then I would stock a drawer with condoms. Don't get me wrong, I would still have the abstinance talk on a regular basis, but I'd have other things in place just in case. I totally remember what teens did when I was a teen and I hear much worse stories now so I plan to be prepared here then hope and pray for the best

Yesterday morning we set the alarm for 3:40am (which with the time change is actually 2:40am). Well actually, we set the alarm for 3:40, asked for a wake-up call at 3:40 and I set my blackberry alarm for 3:40 am. I was not sleeping in. We met another DISer and her father at the lobby for the taxi at 4;30am. The taxi driver had serious issues figuring out how to get to Epcot with all the roads blocked. We finally made it to our destination at 5am.

I had purchased the Retreat Packet for myself and the Platinum ChEAR squad package for Chuck. This meant that I got access to a tent before the race and Chuck had access during the race. I went in and hung out until it was time for us to head for the start line at 6:30am. Mind you, it is a 20 minute walk to the start!

The sound system was bad so I didn't know when the race officially started. We just all started moving and eventually got to the start line. I was in the last corral. I ran by myself. This works best for me. When I got to mile 1, the clock showed 28 minutes. I hoped that I had crossed the start line at least at 13 minutes but had no idea. When I got to mile 2, I was at 42 minutes so I was on track for less than 15 minute miles which was my goal.

We ran from Epcot to/through Magic Kingdom, and back to Epcot and around the ball. I was never concerned that I couldn't make it the 13.1 miles. My only concern was whether I could make it in the time frame.

I averaged around 14.12 minute miles. I was quite happy with my time. My only concern was the bottom of my feet during the last 3 miles. I was concerned that I might be getting a blister. Luckily, I did not. If I decide to run any other races, I'll have to try some different socks or something.

Both races sound like a ton of fun. I'm so proud of you for finishing both. What a huge accomplishment :cool1:

We caught a sight I don't ever want to see again....Cassidy making out (hopefully that's all) with her boyfriend in his car. :rolleyes1

I swear every time I think Jim is the one who is going to kill me, Cassidy will do something to one up him. :scared1:

You should see some of the teenage PDAs at the pool :scared:

Oh, don't I know it...we've had the can I go on birth control please mom? talk. That was the most awkward talk because I had to tell her that we will have to have a long talk with the dr. and that even if we got her on the pill she needed to make sure he used nonlatex male protection.....as she is living proof that I am allergic to latex.

I'm glad she is choosing to communicate rather than not dealing with issues or going behind your back :thumbsup2

Vicki I've loved the pictures in the post and I hope to find time to look at the others later. For now I'm off to work again.

Welcome home Vicki and Chuck, nice pictures and congrats on the medals.
