DDA Chapter 19

The nice long nap wasn't to be. I did get a series of short naps when he dozed off. He gets so congested that he's only down for about 20 minutes then he rolls and moves until he gets comfortable again He does look better and we are blowing his nose a bit less frequently.

We do need to bring the cat to his vet appointment this afternoon. we need to make sure that the meds and prescription food are doing their thing. I also need to pick up some grocery essentials and more cold meds. We are burning through those.

Hope the trip out is not too tiring for Colby. I also hope that cold meds won't be on your shopping list much longer, Deb!

I spent the time that the disboards were down (for me) going through an ancient email account...and it's a good and bad thing I did.

Good because Abi's band teacher e-mailed me this morning at that address

Bad because of the reason he was emailing me.....seems Abi tried to forge her dad's signature.

So we get to meet with the teacher after school today

Bad because of the reason he was emailing me.....seems Abi tried to forge her dad's signature.

We had talked about it for a long time too, but it was still so hard on us all. My boys still cry from time to time since the dogs had been in their lives since birth. It does get easier with time. Try to keep them busy over the weekend as it will certainly help. Your other dog will probably wonder what's going on too

I asked the vet about that and they suggested bringing him along, so I probably will. They have been together forever, so losing Shane will be quite a change for Peanut.

It's a good thing this man knows and likes Abi.....it could have been an automatic suspension.

My guess is because she didn't have her practice cards signed the progress report said an F.

Speaking of losing a beloved pet...

Night before last I was telling Robyn I had this strong feeling that I needed to get in touch with my friend in Tampa. I sent her a text and an e-mail yesterday. She just responded to my e-mail. She had to put down her black lab 2 weeks ago. She had the dog for 15 years and she is devastated. She is also finishing up a messy break-up, and things aren't going well with the person she is currently seeing. I am so sad for her! So much crap all at once.

Tammi - More hugs for you and the kids.

Theresa - Kids are fun, huh? Hopefully Abi has learned her lesson!

Chanon - Sounds like a SHOPPING TRIP is in your future!

Well, I have to be honest here. I can remember when I was in high school and our progress reports were written in pen. I changed a D into a B, just so I wouldn't have to hear the wrath of my dad. Not that what she did was right, but we've all been there, one way or another.

Wow, she's going through everything at once. I got Shane for Christmas in 1992. He's been with me through everything. He's the only male that has stayed with me through thick and thin. Longer than all the other males combined, probably!

Morning! Janet just texted me. They went to Epcot last night and Gary is still sleeping. I think she's antsy to get going this morning. Sounds like they are having a blast!

ETA: They did get a refurbished room! She says it's beautiful!

I've been looking at various zip line adventures in Hawaii. I think that we would love to do a canopy tour or maybe one of the hike/zip line/tubing/swimming adventures. I think Colby will be old enough and the minimum weight is 80 lbs so "maybe" Hunter will be heavy enough They've still got 3 1/2 years to grow

Does anyone have scuba certification? Eventually they will offer a course at the aquatics center and I'm thinking I will take it. I think scuba diving would be a nice skill to have. I'd love to do it in Hawaii, Belize, Australia. Of course I'll have to wait for the boys to move out, but maybe someday. I've always enjoyed snorkeling so that seems like a logical step.

I know Tammi answered already, but I thought I'd add that I just work the childcare for ours. Erin is on the Steering Committee for ours and Mom is a Mentor Mom.

Doing fine! Still no morning sickness (which is wonderful!) but ask me again in 4 weeks when I don't fit into ANY clothes that I packed for vacation.

ETA - well, not 4 weeks. Only 2 until vacation...Crap.
