I don't like the sound of Anne-Marie's fly-by post. I wish she would come back here and let us know what is going on. :( :wizard:

Anne Marie - I'm so hoping that nothing bad has happened, but the way you have disappeared, makes me think that it has. I hope it can be worked out to your satisfaction.

Amy - Have a fun time with your family, and I hope the boys continue their improvement!

Elin and Tammi - I hope you have a wonderful time tomorrow! I've been meaning to comment on this for a while now, but I think that the friendship you two have cultivated is amazing! I wish that I had someone that close to me that shares my interests!

Tom - I hope you get over your PDD very soon! I'll pray that someone cancels their August request so you can start planning a trip to meet more DDA!

Lindsay - I'm glad you are finding a way to make the meds work for you. Trust me, your appetite will eventually return, and then you'll wish it was gone! This nursing thing makes me so hungry all the time!

Jen - how have the conferences gone? Are you happy with the way the parents are reacting to you as a teacher?

Well, things here are looking up. Mary stayed home from school again, but she is now feeling 100% again. None of the other kids are complaining about feeling bad, so I'm cautiously optimistic that we'll be ok to meet up with my dad this weekend.

My house is a disaster, though. Apparently, if I'm too sick to make sure chores get done, they just don't. I know 4 children that are going to be working their hineys off tonight if they want to see Grandpa tomorrow!

I know. I'm a bit worried, too. This has not been an easy move for her, has it?

::yes:: I'm pretty lucky. :goodvibes

"He's Just Not That Into You" was pretty good....I actually think I needed to hear/see the ending. Movies can be a great therapy session. :cool2:

Most days anymore I wish I didn't live so dang far from you....but then you might have gotten sick of me by now. :rolleyes1

I am glad everybody seems to be healthy enough to see Grandpa....hopefully they'll get chores done too!!

Ha! We could never get sick of you!

Kids get home in 10 minutes and then we'll see how the chores go.

Lindsay-hope today was better!

Jennifer (OH)-I meant to tell you yesterday I love your new photos. I read your blog about Elise getting herself stuck and I just have to tell you that one of Joe's first words was "STUCK".:rotfl: months and months before Mom.

We did have a really good time, despite my bird encounter and the buses. I did notice the next time at MK the workers were keeping the food cleaned up, so there were less birds about.
Welcome home!!! Sorry to hear about the bus service and the lack of English. I can honestly say I don't think I saw any CM's that didn't speak English-maybe I didn't talk to too many. Sorry about the bird too. A coworker of mine was there last week and she got pooped on by a bird in Epcot. Last January with Joe we went to Electric Umbrella and he wanted to eat outside. I forgot a fork for him and left him to go get it. When I came back other guests had to keep the birds away from Joe & our food. I don't think he'll ever ask to eat outside again.

I know, I begged. Sometimes people will schedule a vacation, and then cancel it and just cash it out. I am hoping that will happen again.

Yes we begrudgingly have a new kitty. She was a stray, and just hung around the house. Leighanna let her in, and she has been with us since.
She is a white cat with a tiger-ish spot on her forehead. Leighanna was calling her spot, but since has named her "Fluffy"!:rotfl:
People drop of cats all the time in the cemetery about a block from our house. Usually my neighbor deals with them. But, this one found her "home" here!
:wizard: Good luck with vacation!!!

Sounds like a smart kitty!!!!!!

:headache: I don't know how my realtor (sale of my house) sleeps at night!!!!!!!!:headache:
:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:    Hope things are too bad.   :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

I appreciate the continued well-wishes for all the sickness that has plagued my household this past month. Both boys are looking and acting 100% better, and I'm praying that this time, we're kicking the ear infections for good!

On Thursday, I'm taking the kids up to my mom's for five days, so Kevin can finally get Matty's big boy room done in our absence. It's terribly overdue, but there's just not enough time in the day! Hopefully, he can be productive, and the kids and I will have a great time catching up with my side of the family, since we haven't seen them since Christmas.

I hope you all have a great weekend! :)
Drive safe! Hope Kevin is productive!

So the meeting that my boss went to this morning did not go well. The facility administrator has done a horrible job with budgeting so there is no money for a second head life guard. The would like me to be assistant head lifeguard with the same responsibilities as the head life guard with no pay increase. She doesn't want to fight him yet as she has bigger battles ahead. He has only budgeted for 1.5 lifeguards per hour to cover the olympic size competition lap pool and the entire leisure pool area including the current pool, 3 lane lap pool, kids play zone and large water slide :confused3 . Much of the day today we only had 3 guards so we had one guarding the lap pool, and two on the leisure side, but we couldn't open the slide as it was too busy watching those areas. We also had no breaks during that time. We need a minimum of 4 guards to guard effectively and have breaks and 5 if they want the slide open. At busier times we need at least 7 guards. How he came up with 1.5 is a complete mystery and would lead to certain law suits as it just wouldn't be safe. So for now there is no promotion, just more responsibility. I hope to see a payoff somewhere up the road.
Yikes! Hope business goes well so they can hire more guards soon and give pay you for the job you'll be doing.

What a fun theme for the banquet! I've been thinking about what food I would choose to represent Utah. The only things I can come up with are fry sauce, and green jell-o with pineapple. Hmmm, what does that say about my state? I guess you could do some dutch oven chicken and potatoes, but they didn't originate in Utah.
WELL.....we would have chosen IL and got deep dish pizza if someone hadn't claimed that first. Lizzy's girl scout leader's son is in Joe's den. She's bringing TX chili. I wonder if anyone will be bringing Maine lobster.

It was 60 today when I went out at lunch. Back to snow and ice for the weekend. I'm done with winter!

That is excatly the problem. After John got me cleaned up (thankfully it was a small amount of poop) and we moved on, some idiot was feeding them his turkey leg. :headache:

I think the problem is people feeding them too much.

Tom a new kitty huh? You may have to remind Leighanne that she can't save them all. :rotfl:

Sorry that Aug. is already taken for vacation.

Ann Marie hope that what ever the problem is, it can be worked out without you getting the shaft. :wizard: :wizard:

Deb the administrator sounds like he doesn't have a clue on how to run an aquitics center. :sad2:
