Oh no -- I hope your back is better today. Did you buy a warranty on the router? Sounds like with kitty you might need it.

We were able to hang this one on the side of the TV stand so we won't have to worry about that thank goodness.

It the knot right on one of your glands?? Apparently our one DGS had one and the dr called it glanditis??? It looked like a plum was sliced in half and put under his skin.

And Becky, too sweet! Look what came in the mail today, everyone :

I literally had nothing princessy for the girls to wear during the race. Thank you so much! :goodvibes

You are welcome! I hope they are not too big for the girls.

I also hope that you will all be better for your trip.:wizard: :grouphug:

We just got back from DQ. The kids and I are giving up ice cream for Lent, so we are having our own Fat Tuesday. The kids each got a Blizzard and I got a chocolate covered strawberry waffle bowl. We brought them home, put them in the freezer and as soon as the kids get out of the shower we will start our celebration. It's going to be a long 40 days without ice cream!!!!! :(

So my day started with going to the dress shop. My Aunt tried on several different dresses. I tried on some. Not sure what we are going to decide on. We still have 8 months to go, but we got some ideas.

Then we headed to lunch at Hoss's. Then I headed to the office, was there for a period of time.

Then I headed to the Boys and Girls club. But was not sure where I was going plus I got stuck in the after school traffic. So I ended up going to the college for my meeting to plan the first meetings. Then I headed to the Boys and Girls club. Then a meeting and then home.

I hope you all had good days.

In 1 week I will have almost been in Florida for 24 hours.:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :yay: :yay: :woohoo:

I have had a crush on Dana since I was 13. I still have a crush on him.:lovestruc

:lovestruc

We had our garage door fixed yesterday. That along with my dental work made it an expensive day. Hopefully today will be a little cheaper on our budget. I woke up to a strange knot on the right side of my neck. You can see it, it's so large. Any idea what can swell up on a neck that large?

Marci - my guess would be a swollen lymph node. I had one a couple of years ago that wouldn't go away, and I had it biopsied just to put any fears at ease. Perhaps you might be getting sick? :wizard: :wizard: that it's nothing to worry about.

Awww I'm glad that you still feel that way. Don't tell Chris, but I still have a crush on him too...and he has been losing weight so he is even more sexy. He just asked me on a date for the 22nd anniversary of our first date

  Such wonderful DDA love stories, between you, Anne Marie and Terri over the past couple of days.

Good morning!! (Hey for 40 more minutes it is still AM here:rotfl: )

I spent the morning on the phone warning my references that they should be getting calls this week.

My volunteer who has been battling breast/face cancer has to have brain surgery this Thursday AM as they have found a spot on her brain that they are worried about. This woman has fought courageously and with such grace, I just feel so bad for her. So please be praying for Carol and her family Thursday.

Abi has a band concert tonight and next Tuesday, Cassidy has a band concert and Abi a choir concert. :scared1: We only have another year of conflicting schedules...:sad1:

Now I am going to go take my shower....one of the perks of being jobless.

Lots of :wizard: :wizard: for the interview and reference checks. And many, many prayers for your friend Carol and her family.

The sellers accepted our offer. We are in contract for our new home.

:woohoo:

Inspection on Monday.

Yay!!! I hope the inspection goes well. :yay:

Today was a bit busier than yesterday. Some kids discovered that the netting around one of the slides is loose so they began to swim under it  I thought yesterday that it was only a matter of time and poof today it begins. The facility manager is supposed to tighten it tomorrow.

Chris is super busy at work today. Toyota is doing a big recall on Tacoma Frames so he will be rebuilding trucks for awhile. Once he's done a couple I'm sure it will get easier. We are both hopeful that his checks get better and now we've added mine so that should go a long way to helping us get caught up again.

That's good news for you guys! I hope things continue to look up. :thumbsup2

Wow - admittedly, ice cream hasn't sounded good for a while, but I'm hoping my taste for it returns in a few more weeks. ;) My hat is off to all 3 of you!

Giving up something for Lent isn't as common outside the Catholic faith, but Jonathan and I have tried it a few times. One year, we gave up fast food (and this was when we were living in a town of 3,000 people, so it was fast food or the food at your house - no other restaurants!). On Easter Sunday night, we went to McDonald's - I think that was one of the best cheeseburgers I've ever tasted. :rotfl:

It's gonna be hard!

I'll think about you tonight as I'm eating my vanilla ice cream with homemade pineapple-caramel sauce! Then, I'll think about you tomorrow as I'm eating my Ben and Jerry's Peach Cobbler ice cream. Aren't I a stinker?????

Love ya, Tammi!

We don't give up anything for Lent, either. However, on the first Sunday of each month we fast for 2 meals and donate the money we would have spent on those meals to charity It's really hard, but it is a good thing. Our kids start doing it when they turn 8. I should say, we encourage our kids to do it when they turn 8, but I don't enforce it. For it to mean something, they have to do it willingly.

Well, yesterday was another "blah" day for me, and I've had a headache since about 4 today that won't go away. I'm ready for my body to stop working against me!

I did have lunch with one of the partners I used to work with today - very sad situation, as he and his wife are getting divorced. What was even more shocking was to hear what precipitated this decision - her having an affair with an older married man, potential drug use, and a host of other things. I was shocked, as they are a couple we used to socialize with, and it sounds like she was living a secret life that no one knew of. I feel so bad for my friend, and for their 2 young boys (6 and 4). He's handling it well, and being VERY generous to her - he's buying her (well, really his sons) a house just a few blocks away from their current house so the boys will have as much continuity as possible since they're going to try joint custody (although he is going to enforce very strict parameters on that to protect his kids). It made me very thankful to have the spouse I have.

I also checked out the Disney liquidation store - Marci, I wouldn't waste the gas to go out there - I can't imagine it would be worth it for you. They did have some cute infant onesies and combo outfits, but none were unisex, so it didn't make sense to buy anything. Some of the stuff, too, I don't know where they got it from - it was not the quality of theme park or TDS merchandise - looks like they made some stuff on the cheap to sell it at these "discounted" prices. Plenty of people were there buying stuff, though.

We're home. I had a great workout tonight. I didn't take a break, but instead rotated between two machines. It cut my workout time down and increased my cardio. From there I went out to swim a bit. Colby decided to do laps with me so I had to slow down and help him. He made incredible progress tonight on his strokes and he swam about 300 yards. I was really impressed and he was soooo proud of himself. The lifeguard on duty was totally talking him up so that helped too. He called my Mom after we got home and told her that she needs to go watch him swim tomorrow :)

Love ya, Tammi!

I thought you couldn't eat ice cream since your surgery?

Lindsay I'm sorry about your friend. That sounds like something on a soap opera, not something in real life.

I think I'll be good, as long as Elin doesn't post any of her float pictures!

Yes, I'm enjoying it. Is seems so strange to have a stress free job. I mean yes if there is an accident I will have to fish someone out, but really that is rare and most of the time I get to watch the pool and socialize with the patrons. I told Chris that I might be going through a midlife crisis, I want the body back that I had at 17 and suddenly I have the job back that I had at 17 :rotfl: My DH seems good with it though ;) I was chatting with the other 3 guards this morning before anyone began swimming and I mentioned that I had 3 sons and they all said that I was too young to have 3 kids. They thought I was in my late 20's :lmao: :lmao: Silly kids
You look great Deb. So glad you are enjoying your job.:thumbsup2

I guess I'll log off and head to bed. Apparently there is a 6 AM and I will be seeing it again :confused3 Talk to you tomorrow.
