Robyn - I can handle little kid drama. That's my JOB. It's this unrealistic teenager whiney-butt stuff that I can't take.
Sorry you haven't seen any improvement with Eric. Perhaps he is still under warranty?

How is Stephanie feeling?
Thanks for asking. :goodvibes Friday, her fever was gone but I took her to work with me because I didn't want her running around, etc. Saturday, she played her basketball game, no problem. Saturday afternoon, she took a 2.5 hour nap at my parents' house and woke up with a fever again. Yesterday morning, it was gone, last night it was back. This morning gone again, but Craig's at the doctor with her right now. She's still really stuffy. It sounds packed up there.

oh no poor baby

Aw, I am sorry she's still not back to normal. I hope the doctor can figure it out.'s

Kelli - I hope Stephanie feels better soon! :wizard: That is so frustrating when they feel better, then worse, then better, then worse. :sad2:

Robyn - No warranty, huh? Then I guess he will have to be recycled.

UGH, Craig just called......it's a virus and has to run it's course. She's already missed almost a week of school. :sad2:

What a weekend! Why is it that I always end up exhausted from supposedly "relaxing" weekends?

Friday night we went to the school for the reading/pizza night. It was a lot of fun! Jacob, Leslie and Mary each won a prize for being there. When we got home, 4 of Katie's friends came over for "movie club." The get together each Friday night to watch a movie in their pj's and have treats. They are cute girls, and it was a fun time for them. While they watched "Camelot", Jacob, Leslie, Mary and I watched "Igor." It was kind of cute, but not one that I would want to own.

Saturday morning, the kids worked really hard and got the house put in order, floors vacuumed and bathrooms scrubbed. Alan and I rewarded them with a dollar movie. We saw "Bolt." It was DARLING! We all enjoyed it, even Alan who generally hates animated movies. He even mentioned wanting to own it. Does anyone know when it comes out on DVD? I'm thinking that the Easter Bunny could bring it.

After the matinee, Alan and I went to dinner with his brother and wife. They treated us to Olive Garden as a thank you for watching their 5 kids while they were out of town. Then we went to see "Australia." I was blown away by that movie! Of course it helps that Hugh Jackman is my grown up crush! He was yummy in this movie!

Sunday morning, Alan woke up feeling icky. By afternoon, he was worshipping at the "white goddess." Poor guy! He threw up everything except the kitchen sink! We quarantined him, and the rest of us spent the day playing on the Wii, and watching the Oscars. Luckily, Alan woke up feeling much better this morning, and so far, no one else has come down with it! Knock on wood!

I'm spending this week doing some preliminary stuff for our DL trip in June. Mostly packing lists (for you, Elizabeth), and shopping lists. I've already discovered that all my girls need new swimsuits. Good thing they are already in the stores!

poor sweet pea!! I hope it's nothing serious and she's back to her old self shortly.

Glynis-Bolt is supposed to be out just in time for Easter baskets. We loved it too. Much more than Wall*E (don't get me wrong I liked Wall*E but it just met expectations...Bolt surpassed them!)

Did we miss something?!?:rolleyes1 Are you referring to Bethany?
Sorry. Didn't mean to alarm all of you. ;) I guess it's been so long that many of you won't remember that John has a 23 yo dd, so my stepdd. She went off to college when she was 18, against our wishes, as we knew that she was not mature enough to handle it. We wanted her to live with us and go to community college. Anyway, she always lived boyfriend to boyfriend. Everytime someone paid a little bit of attention to her she was head over heels. And if she didn't have a boyfriend, she was miserable. So she goes to college, flunks out after her freshman year, comes home in the summer, meets a guy, moves in with him after a few months, gets married, and divorced by 21. Since then she has been living with a few different guys until she catches them cheating on her. I call it the love me daddy syndrom because she never had her father in her life much (yes, hindsight is 20/20  ). Now I have to figure out how to prevent Alyssa from going through this and not be out hoe-ing around when she gets older.

I'm glad I managed to entertain some of you with the "Special Wishes" a couple days ago. :rotfl:

I'm sorry this happened, Marci. This definitely sounds like a rookie mistake, and I bet that coach never makes that error again. I know I made tons of mistakes my first couple of years of teaching, and I tried my best to learn from each one of them. Hopefully, it will be a great season for everyone!

Congratulations on the offer on your house. I'm praying that nothing falls through! :wizard: I hope #4 ends up feeling like the right home for you!

Congratulations, Deb, on surviving your whirlwind weekend and passing everything with flying colors! I hope you have a great first day of work today!

And no, not everyone is healthy. Noah is congested again, and he woke up yesterday with his whole face caked in boogers (lovely image, huh? ;) ). After his second nap, he woke up with goopy eyes. I used warm compresses and I encouraged him to nurse as much as possible, so I'm hoping this is something we can work out of his system, without another trip to the doctor. He was still goopy when he woke up at 11 p.m. but not nearly as much so at 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. (Yep, three wake-ups last night). I think I'll go insane if the whole house ends up with pink eye! :scared:

You know we are cheering you on, Theresa! :cheer2: I'm sorry about dufus. I wish I could kick him in the leg for you.

That's pretty funny, Elizabeth! :teeth: I let boys rule my world for way too long, never listening to my mother's wonderful advice, because I never thought it was so wonderful at the time. :rolleyes1 Luckily, she prayed for me to find someone like Kevin, and thankfully, I finally got some sense knocked into me after dating yet another loser...one who stole and maxed out one of my credit cards. Hopefully Diva will find her own happy ending.

I hope your DD is feeling much better today, Debbie! :wizard:

I hope you all have a great day! :wave2:

I hope Noah gets over it quickly.

She's a mess. :sad2: I suspect if she doesn't get her head on straight she will end up marrying a loser like Ms. Selfish did, just because she doesn't have any other plans that day.
She was already mad at me for saying she isn't going to be able to go waltzing off to college and join a sorority and spend 4 more years NOT working. There isn't any money for that, and she doesn't have the grades and extra-curricular stuff to set her transcript apart. The colleges aren't going to just hand things to her, and that's what she expects.

Amy, I hope Noah isn't gunky this morning! :wizard:

Last night as I was watching TV I happened to think "Hmm. My eye kind of hurts." I went in the bathroom to check the mirror. Stye. The whole upper lash line of my left eye is purple and puffy. Very attractive. It just popped up out of nowhere - my eye was fine earlier in the day!

Hope everyone's Monday is off to a good start!

Good luck getting rid of the stye.

It made it so much easier for him. He doesn't know all your last names. He just knows you by your first name. Plus, we were trying to make sure we had all your phone numbers. We kept having to scroll up and down. It was his idea to put you in as Disney ______. It has worked out great.

In my phone it is DDA Vicki, DDA Chuck etc :lmao:

Wow, that is rough. I don't think you will have to worry about Alyssa as she has you in her life to keep her straight and Bob to have a strong male influence. He seems to spend quality time with your kids, even babysitting for you at times :goodvibes
