OK...so I still have a lot to learn about my camera but taking over 2,000 photos during the trip did help. I know I'll get better in time but I'm pretty happy with some of the photos I got on this trip. I will admit the dSLR is much more of a "burden" then my Sony was! I had sore shoulders for the first few days-I got used to it later in the trip. I am glad I waited to buy the camera as I wouldn't have wanted to deal with it when the kids were very little.
SO....we picked Lizzy up from school around 11:30, made a quick stop at the bank drive through and DH drove us to the airport. There was no traffic so it was a nice easy drive. Lizzy's teacher gave her her homework that morning. She had several books worth but I only took what we could easily carry in her backpack. As it was she didn't do too much on the trip. We left Lizzy's winter coat in our car and even though there was no line at the skycap I decided to go inside since it was in the 20's. There was no line inside either. I asked if we could fly standby for the 2:10 flight vs 4:15 we had booked. No line at security either. We got a snack and found out we could take the earlier flight if we flew middle seats one behind the other. I was glad Lizzy said OK to that. I was talking to Lizzy as the plane was boarding and the woman in the window seat next to me gave Lizzy her seat. How nice!!!!
We landed on time to Orlando at 82 degrees. No lines at ME-they put us right on a bus.
We soon saw this-such an exciting site!!!!
Then this:
Poly was the first stop. We had a short wait to check in and I soon found out we got exactly what I asked for in a garden view room. Here's the view from the room:
We had my Owner's Locker delivered and then went to get something to eat at Captain Cooks. I had a nice stir fry-a huge improvement over the Captain Cooks that the Poly had the last time I was at the Poly. We ate outside and couldn't get over the difference in weather from a few hours earlier in Boston. With the sun gone it was probably in the 60s. I was actually a bit chilly in my jeans & long sleeve T. We ate outside and then went to the beach for Wishes. It is funny how far off to the left the fireworks look from here but they look directly over the castle when in MK.
We went back to Captain Cooks and got Mickey Bars.

We went out to the beach to eat them and found a swing while we waited for the Electric Water Pagent. Lizzy LOVES this thing!!!! I have to say I rather enjoy it too.
Lizzy made a sand castle and we both just let the atmosphere of the Tiki torches and Poly music soak in.
Lizzy couldn't resist testing the water on the way back to the room:
Our luggage was in the room when we returned. Lizzy had another snack on the balcony as I unpacked-she thought that was so cool. We couldn't believe we were really here!
