OMG. I just got back from babysitting my DGkids and saw the organizers have cancelled Mousefest.

I'm still in shock, have read nothing since page 90 something, but wanted to know what everyone's dates for October are. Is anyone going to be at the World between October 18th and 30th??? Thanks.

Terry is going to be so upset. What news to come home to!!!

No, I didn't hear that. Did they say why? I'm sure Terry and Stephanie will be heartbroken.

Is the Dis terribly slow for anyone else, or is it just my computer?

Is the DIS running slow for anyone else? It is taking forever to change pages. Facebook & Charter are running fine so I don't think it is my computer.

I am having an awful time. I even shut my computer down and ran Ad-Aware and my virus scan. I am happy to know it is not just me!

We all enjoyed Coraline. Elizabeth, I think you will like it. It's got that creepy, bizarre quality about it. It's given me new material to throw at my kids. Now when they aren't happy with me or my rules, I can tell them I'll sew button eyes on them and send them off to their Other Mother.

It sounds delightful! We'll have to plan to see it. Next weekend will be crazy with UIL band competition and watching Princess on Saturday night. Maybe we can catch a matinee on Sunday.

Bummer about MouseFest. Sounds like administrative issues.

I haven't left the house this entire weekend. It has been fabulous! It was a good decision to cancel babysitting today. I can not imagine being gone from 1 - 5 PM today. I was napping for a fair portion of that time. My head hasn't felt as weird today, so hopefully I am not getting sick.

I have heard of it. Actually watched a demo of it at the NAMM Show last January in Anaheim. I think the concept is wonderful and they claim it works. I can see merits in it and definitely understand why a music instructor would want his/her students to use it. I would way it is worth a shot to see if her practice time becomes more productive!

Elizabeth, you'll be happy to know that my packing is coming along nicely! I have all the "stuff" packed (besides clothes) that isn't done at the last minute (makeup, etc) ... including lots of things we've been stocking up on duplicates for our owners locker that used to be "last minute things". I have the girls clothes out, and am working on mine hopefully later today. It shouldn't take long, considering I went on a MAJOR shopping spree yesterday for bottoms that fit.

Not too bad, if I do say so myself! 18 days!

Chuck & I have started packing as well. We only have 12 days until we leave. I'm off to Lansing again tomorrow.

Yes he had a wonderful time & enjoyed being able to dress up!
