DDA Chapter 17

Robyn-have a great time!!! I like your ped too!

That was probably the quickest interview I have ever had. I will know by Monday at 5. There were the professional interviewer and the co-directors of the company. I am not sure I answered their questions properly.....so maybe I have the job. :lmao:

Fingers crossed here :wizard:

It's still snowing here and Chris says that we already have over a foot. We haven't heard anything about school tomorrow. I suspect that if it stops snowing by 3 or 4 AM school will resume as normal. If not, who knows.

I still haven't figured out my laptop. I cannot get onto the internet unless I'm in safe mode :confused3 I am so frustrated. I guess I'll have to call HP and talk to someone that speaks poor English. I can't remember when my warranty extension ends. I did find remember by trial of course that the Restore disk they sent to me when I had problems a year and a half ago was not the correct disk. So now I have no restoration software and I can't get the computer to restore with the existing software.

I did managed to remove all of my files so I won't lose anything this time. I really need to take out my external drive and back up all of the PCs just in case. I meant to do it a couple of days ago, but didn't take time.

I'm a bit worried about my dad, today. He is in Lenox, Mass. at a Shakespeare Theater Association of America conference. I'm just hoping that he's not driving if it's yucky! Of course, I can't tell him not to drive, as he would get angry with me, but I still worry. I'll call him tonight and see how it was today.

Anyway, I'm rambling, and the bed is calling. Talk to y'all later.

It was yucky. I hope he did fine too. Kathrin called me on her way to work and texted me when she arrived safely. Then I made her let me know that she got home tonight too. She has not had to drive in snow in years!

I did!!! My fingers are crossed for ya!:goodvibes

I commented on both his album and the pic of him and Jay. Jay actually has already noticed that I know Joe, but I pretended to think his comment about "friends in common" was referring to all of the AIDS walk people we both have on our "friends" list. That is a good sign that he had fun without going overboard!

I hope this is the one, Theresa! :hyper:

Too funny!! I can't wait to hear more about the trip. You have no idea how happy it makes me that he wasn't out having "too much fun".

It is for an office manager/practice manager for this company: http://www.soulsticewellness.com/about.htm

I think I would love the job!! When I went into the office all three of them were sitting in the reception area..startled me....so I said "I am a little early"...they went around and introduced themselves and before I could get a chance to say who I was the lady co-director said "Welcome, little early":lmao: The male co-director said "Forgive the smart remarker" I said that's okay I like smarty pants. :flower3: I was happy to start off on a funny note.

Sounds like a great interview.

I just talked to my dad--we ended up being at the firehouse from about 10 this morning til about 3..i then left and got him some dry/clean clothes and he was supposed to be work tonight anyway. He just called me and told me that 5 firemen were sent to the hospital--not too seriously injured and i know one is at least on the way home..but it was a bit freaky hearing about it.

I know they are still at the scene checking for hotspots--this fire has been going on since 10am! nw dad is there overnight..ugh

:grouphug: :grouphug: for you and your fireman family.

That's a lot of snow, it would shut MD down for a month!! I hope you can get the laptop up and running.

now im really going to bed..some think ill have a 90 minute delay tomorrow but im not so sure..bed is necessary :)

goodnight1

Jen - sounds like you had a fun day.

Deb - I am sorry you are having computer troubles.

Robyn - sounds like you have a great pediatrician. Hope you have fun tonight.

Tammi - thanks for the heads-up on the delayed opening. I knew Spotsy was an hour late, but hadn't heard anything from my Stafford kids.

Theresa - I am crossing my fingers for you!

I had such a great time tonight. It was wonderful to reconnect with everyone all together. I've kept in closer contact with 2 of the other moms through soccer and preschool but to have all 5 of us together was a lot of fun.

Christine, the one who lost her husband, is so together it amazes me. She said she has been so touched by the outpouring of love she and the girls have received these past few months.

Robyn - I am glad you had fun!!

Jennifer - so glad to hear work was better.

Well, he did ok. Luckily, he didn't have to drive. The hosts of the conference hired drivers, so he was good. He sounds like he's having a great time. It's his birthday on Friday, and some of his friends are taking him out to dinner.

I'm glad that Kathrin is safe. It's so scary to think of our loved ones having to drive in dangerous conditions.

Good morning. :)

Wow it was quiet here last night.

Good Morning. School is running as usualy. Why let 15 inches of snow slow you down? I need to get moving as we will have to clean off the cars and trudge through at least 6 inches of snow to get to them. Everything was shoveled or plowed out at 6:30 last night. Oh well, I'm sure the kids will be pleased at recess. I'm working a full day at school today so I probably won't be back on until after 3 PM.
