DDA Chapter 17

For those of you curious about the quality of the Disney Photobook, here are some pictures of mine. I don't think I would purchase this on it's own, but because I got it for $50 in conjunction with the presale photo CD, I thought I would try it.

Some sampling of pages. The quality is the same as Kodak or myPublisher:

Also, the book comes standard with 20 pages, and any extra pages are supposed to be more $$. However, I think my book ended up being 24 or 26 pages, and no additional fee was tacked on. You can use Photopass pictures, upload your own or include Disney's pictures in the book as well.
That's neat!

Those of you that are steak eaters, where is the best steak at Disney that you have eaten?

LeCellier per Chuck. We have also heard Yachtsmen Steak House but we haven't been there yet. We really should check that out.

We don't eat much steak at Disney because I'm spoiled and think the best steaks are the ones that Chuck grills for me. I usually try different things when I'm in restaurants because of that.

Ok everyone who wears glasses, how do you do it? I have had glasses since 10th grade, but never wore them full time (yes I know shame on me, but I just couldn't get use to them) until about 6 years ago and I still really can't get used to them. The minute they get a speck on them I have to clean them, don't know how everyone in my family wears such dirty glasses. Plus they are just annoying. :sad2:

When it comes down to a chose of seeing anything more than 2 feet in front of you or wearing glasses, you take the lesser of the two evils. I have HAD to wear glasses all the time since I was in 5th grade. I have the laptop screen about 2 feet away from me right now. If I take my glasses off, I can't even see what the smilies are. It all just looks like a blurred mess.

I have slept most of the day away. At least I am not running to the bathroom anymore. I did eat a few pretzels & a little bit of soup, so far so good.

My boss called me earlier & does not want me to work tomorrow, she does not want whatever this is to go around there. I hate losing the hours, but it is probably best. I still need to go in at some point & make out the schedule & Garrett has a dental appointment. So I will have to go out anyway.

I am so glad I took Blue in today, I can't believe how much better she sounds after getting that shot. She has only had one coughing episode since she has been home & her breathing is so much better as well.

Get some more rest today. You don't want a relapse.

Thanks, ladies! I finally got my PhotoPass CD and loved this one taken at AKL on Christmas night.

I am still coughing and snuffling but plugging along. I am glad you are feeling better, Janet! :goodvibes

Very nice picture. I hope the cold passes quickly.

pixiedust: Robyn I hope your friend finds relief in the surgery and that they can figure out what is causing the extra fluid.

:wizard: to those that are still sick. Sleep is the best cure.

I am feeling so much better today. Of course I slept about 18 hours yesterday. I got extra sleep the day before too. Thankfully the aches and pains are gone. I will take a nap this afternoon before we head out to Disney on Ice. Nick woke up with a nasty cold sore this morning and he is complaining that he doesn't feel to great. He is still upbeat. He is staying with my parent's tonight as he didn't care to see the show. Hopefully the cold sore meds will kick in and he will be feeling better too.

Time for me to take a nap. I'm sure Colby will take one too as we won't be home until late tonight. We are dropping Nick off at 3:30 and we'll head out from there. The show starts at 7 and it is only an hour and 15 minute drive so we should be there in plenty of time. :thumbsup2

Flat Stanley went bowling this morning. If I don't forget him he'll go to the ice show with us tonight. He actually came when we had things to do :goodvibes

Elin- Love your new siggy pic. And I hope you continue to feel better as the day progresses.

Elin-Hope you are feeling better--love the sig pic!!!

Elin - Wonderful new picture in your sig! You ladies look beautiful, and yourBob looks very handsome.

Thanks, everyone! I do have to say that the PhotoPass pictures were a wake-up call to me... I really need to get back on the diet bandwagon too. I have to decide how I am going to do it though. WW's interests me but I have no time to go to weigh-ins and am perfectly happy with religiously and honestly doing them myself. Is anyone doing the online version? If so, what are the costs involved?

I am glad to read that Janet and Gary are feeling better!

Same for Terry! :yay: for being able to go to the party!!

So i did day 2 of the wii fit this morning. Yesterday, i was 37..today 33..were getting there! My goal is to get on that everyday for some time.

I am now watching Greys Anatomy from last week when I missed it...wow, what an episode so far.

I am going to be helping a friend with something, which i am hoping will only take an hour or two..then im not sure whats going on later--im supposed to be going somewhere with my brother, but everything is up in the air!

Elin, Love your picture.

I have been thinking of doing the online version of WW but have not looked into it yet. I just keep thinking I need to maintain and maybe lose ten more lbs. Either that or figure out exercises to maybe tone up the poochy part of my belly that will not hurt my back.:goodvibes

Those of you that are steak eaters, where is the best steak at Disney that you have eaten?

Hands down, it was the Chateaubriand from Yachtsman Steak House that Bob and I had last fall. It was good, but not the best steak I have ever had. I have heard reports that the best steaks can be found at Shula's (unfortunately with a very steep pricetag) and, believe it or not... Flying Fish!

Yes, but do you wash your hands before you touch the keyboard afterwards? :lmao:

Nope. I have a bottle of hand sanitizer right here on the end table! Honest, I do!! It is Bath & Body Works Sun-Ripened Raspberry and I hate it! :rotfl2: But it is the perfect size to sit here and be unobtrusive. Besides, it was a gift from a student. :goodvibes

Tammi - I LOVE your PhotoBook!! :goodvibes:

Deb - enjoy your nap and your time at Disney on Ice. I am glad you are feeling better and hope Nick's meds kick in quickly for him too.

Terry - I have friends who have done WWs for years to maintain and it has worked well for them. I need to look into it because I think it might be the life-long direction I need.

Terry - I just looked at WWs' home page...

Things are still :upsidedow around here. Matty spent a lot of yesterday sitting on a chair in the middle of the kitchen, where he couldn't touch anyone or anything. Poor Noah is still congested, and I'm hoping we all feel more well-rested by the end of the weekend.

Kevin just took the big kids out to pick up my "surprise" cake. ;) I think he may be trying to find a Wii Fit, too, since my mom missed every hint I've been giving her since before Christmas. She did send me some lovely pajamas from Lands End though. :)

I'm hoping my children will cooperate and behave for an early dinner out and then we're going to a puppet show at the Community Center.

Tammi, Kevin actually wrote a huge post about his whole AI experience and then POOF it disappeared when he hit submit. I suggested he write it in Word and cut and paste, but he's only written about half the story. I'll encourage him to finish it soon. Sadly, we have no video, because it's forbidden, but I managed to take quite a few pictures, without a flash and with a sleeping baby on my lap.

I hope you all have a great weekend! Continue to rest and feel better! Many :grouphug: and thanks again for thinking of me today!

I would have to agree about Shula's! We ate there 2 out of 3 days of my business trip in Tampa last year. It was the most amazing steak I've had anywhere, but it was definitely about $45 for a very mid-range one! :faint: Of course, you pay extra for sides -- $5-8 for a baked potato, salad, etc.

Hands down, Yachtsman. :teeth:
Australian Wagyu - 10 ounce strip loin served with truffle potatoes and carbernet reduction $54.00

Porterhouse - 24 oz. Center Cut Porterhouse with Fingerling Potatoes and Roasted Garlic Butter $44.00

Bob actually rolled his eyes when he took his first bite. :teeth:

And if Gary is looking for more pictures...these are from Artist Point. It was good here, but Yachtsman was much better.
