I made it home safe last night but not without incident. I had one of those zoned out times. I swear I looked in my blind spot but missed seeing a car. I was merging into the left lane and heard honking. I immediately went back into my lane. I felt quite bad that I missed him. Well, the other driver had a serious case of road rage. He pulled in front of me and slowed down to 5 miles below the speed limit. He blocked me in so I couldn't pass him. He kept cutting me off if I tried to pass. He missed my car by a few inches two different times. That was when I decided to call 911. I gave them his license plate. I also slowed way down so he knew I was going to stop trying to get around him. He finally just took off after about 15-20 minutes. I caught back up with him about 1/2 hour later but about 5 minutes after that, he pulled off the expressway.

Yikes!! My prayer when we meet up with people like that is "May they run out of gas before they hurt somebody." I am glad you are safe!!

Elizabeth, good luck on the house. I would have the seller pay my penalty. In this housing market, if you can qualify for a mortgage, you can pretty much write your ticket.

Vicki, that is so scary. So glad you are okay.

Well, we built a fire and my DD thought she had the flue open. Hmmmm, no. So we had to open the front door in this 6 degree weather to air out the house. And the fire alarm keeps going off.

But now it is so nice.

Ditto! I did really good with keeping our water from freezing. Today though I decided to do laundry & when the wash went to drain I heard water spilling onto the floor. apparently the drain had some ice in it. It was a little bit of a mess, but an easy fix anyway.

Lots to do this weekend, but I'm still feeling crappy. I have an appt. at 9, and will see what he says. I'm pretty sure this will give me a "pass" to skip some of the events this weekend.

I may not make it to Disney this year, but I am going to Europe with Gary!

Our plans are to leave after Thanksgiving for 2 - 2 1/2 weeks. We hope to visit some different places this time. Gary has some ideas & as soon as I know more solid details I will let you all know

I am still a little bummed about the trip in March, but I think this will take care of that lol

Marci, so many cute pics!

I think this house thing is going to get out of control. I was Googling earlier today and found this really nice house very close to the one we looked at Wednesday. But this one is bigger and has more updates to the interior. It is listed as sale or lease. So I phoned the agent and she really thought I should look into qualifying for a mortgage. Hmm.

I called a mortgage guy just for fun. Gave him our info, he ran our credit, and now he is running us through some sort of mortgage calculator to see what comes up. The magic formula says we are "readily approvable". We just need to provide some supporting documents. Huh. Who knew? I wonder if this means we are actually going to buy a house?
