DDA Chapter 17

Well, I had my 2nd weigh in tonight. I managed to lose 2.2lbs.
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

If anybody is still up...send some pixie finding dust this way...we think Dude got out some time this afternoon and it is way to cold for him to be outside.

ETA: the ferret rescue guy was wrong....at least with Dude. He said ferrets have no homing instincts, Dude never left the area surrounding our building. We found him shivering under our porch.
Ah the poor little thing!

It was so cold here I went to bed at 8:30pm just to stay warm under the covers. What a shock when I got up at 5:45am & the house is freezing.

Our dog woke us up wanting out, it is -19 right now & that is not the windchill :cold:

I am not going anywhere today. I will venture out to start my truck once in a while & to let Lacey out.

I am trying valiantly to catch up with all your posts for the last 24 hours. TEN pages?!?!? :confused3

I only have 15 minutes that I have allotted to do so, so wish me luck! :goodvibes

 Brrrr!!!!!!!!!! It's 19 here so I guess I shouldn't complain!

It's snowing too....thought they would call a snow day or at least a delay but nope!:sad2:

It has been an emotional roller coaster of a day, but I think we are relatively calm now. I have given Hunter a little notebook and I've asked him to log in what and when he eats as well as any dizzy episodes. Maybe we'll see a pattern, maybe not. Maybe it will just disappear :wizard:

I waited to comment until I had read that you had heard from the doctor, Deb. I am so glad to hear that Hunter's bloodwork came back with good results. It is so scary to have a "sick" child and have no answers on how you can help. I have been there with both my girls one time or another. Hang in there. And :grouphug: for your whole family as you get through this.

If a teenager knocked on my door I certainly would pay the money to have my driveway shoveled or my grass mowed. I would love the fact that they show motivation!

Me too! But around here they want $50, not $10.

Kristine- Ouch! Glad you went to the dr. Lots of :wizard:

Theresa- I am so glad the interview went well!!

Jen- I hope that you can manage to escape the bug.

Jennifer- Glad your brother can fix your van.

Anne Marie- :yay: on the new ticker.

Debbie- I hope you can still sneak in an August trip.:wizard:

This was so helpful, Robyn, thanks! Trips to be planned are so great, you all! And health issues and job interviews with good results are wonderful. For the two Jennifers mentioned... I hope today finds both of you doing better with vans and sickness.

I am so glad you found him!!!

Good morning-As soon as i logged off , i went to sleep and slept the entire night...still not feeling great this morning, but nto too bad..if im not feeling much better by this afternoon, i may be taking a sick day for tomorrow.

Theresa-glad you found dude!

Marci - Bob and I got your card. Thanks you. :)

OK, I must get back to my paperwork. Have great days, everyone, and STAY WARM!! :goodvibes

Deb-great news on regular labs. I hope it's a case of too quick movements.

Jennifer-hope you feel better in the morning.

I am heading off to read a little and try and warm up. It got cold fast around here.

Ditto!
Good luck getting the job details in place, Theresa! :wizard:

Well, I had my 2nd weigh in tonight. I managed to lose 2.2lbs. I'm sure had I not derailed myself at the bar Saturday night it would have been much better. And if I could actually drink water too. I have no problem drinking it any other time but it's been so freakin' cold all I have been drinking is coffee and hot green tea. Thankfully, I've switched to skim milk and had already cut out the sugar otherwise I probably would have a 20lb gain!

I suppose since you refuse to come to The Dark Side it is good that you are making progress! :thumbsup2
I hear you on the water thing.

I hope Dude warmed up and is OK now!! :wizard:

Agreed... I hope the right place comes along when you are ready for it!

Thanks! Since we weren't really planning to move we aren't too concerned about the house not being a good fit. The biggest challenge is finding something we can afford and timing it in conjunction with the end of our current lease. If we turned in our intent to move and then we couldn't find a place to move to I would be in a panic. :scared1:
I might PRETEND we are moving and use it as a way to sort through the clutter. We could make better use of the space we have.

I think our temps are in the 20's right now, and they say tomorrow will be even colder. Yay.

Princess has her 3 year "well visit" at the pediatrician this morning and ballet this afternoon. :scared: I will have to bundle her up!

Tomorrow is supposed to be even colder. DS gets out of school at 10:20 AM but that is the only thing we HAVE to do.

Elizabeth -- I'm sorry that the house didn't work out, but hope you will be able to find something that works for you and your family.

Deb -- I didn't post last night, but did see your update and said a prayer for Hunter and for strength for your family. It sounds like the blood work was very positive. I hope the EKG comes back with great results.

For those with ridiculously cold temps -- please take care!

Theresa -- it sounds like you had a great interview. You must be thrilled to have an opportunity considering the job climate. I agree, though, a potty is a must!

Thanks for the birthday wishes for Randy. I think he had a great birthday. Of course, that key lime pie derailed my eating, and along with other snacking I gained a pound. I did get on the elliptical for 30, so it could have been worse. I think my sinus infection I had while at Disney never quiet went away, as I'm pretty miserable again. I guess I'll call the internist and let them know what is going on. A bright point -- I don't like to eat when I feel like this, so maybe I'll lose the pound. I do plan on starting back WW again. I'm not doing well on my own.

Have a great day everyone!
