DDA Chapter 17

Well the curtain is not long enough for the bathroom window, but looks perfect on the front door. It is so pretty we had to make it work somewhere lol

Garrett is a little bummed that he only made $10 with one driveway. He said they knocked on so many doors, but everyone just said no. I told him a lot of people just don't have the extra money now & at least he has $10 more than he did before.

School has already been canceled for tomorrow, so now they do not go back till Tuesday.

I am scared our water will freeze again, so I am going to let all the faucets run a little tonight to hopefully keep the water flowing.
If a teenager knocked on my door I certainly would pay the money to have my driveway shoveled or my grass mowed. I would love the fact that they show motivation!

Deb-great news on regular labs. I hope it's a case of too quick movements.

Jennifer-hope you feel better in the morning.

I am heading off to read a little and try and warm up. It got cold fast around here.

The doctor called me at 3:15 with the lab results. Everything is completely normal. She is very pleased with the results and feels like we were able to eliminate a bunch of things. She will call back on Friday to check on him. Hopefully the cardio results will be in before then. We will still follow up with his regular ped on Wednesday. She feels that it is most likely that he just reacts more to the slightest movements due to his low weight. She isn't suggesting gaining weight as he is on the same growth curve that he has always been on. She wants him to make his sitting/standing transitions more slowly as well as things like tying his shoes. He isn't restricted from any activities though she wants him to be supervised at all times. We went to the mountain tonight. It was freezing, actually well below freezing. I think it was zero at the base. We were dressed in many layers and I know that I was still cold. Hunter didn't have any dizziness while he was snowboarding :cool1: :cool1: The kids all had fun and are looking forward to next week. I'm so hoping that next week is warmer. I had planned to shadow Hunter, but when I went to buckle my ski boot that strap snapped off. That means no skiing for me until I get a new pair of boots. I was able to remain hive free by hitting a hot bath tub as soon as we got home.

It has been an emotional roller coaster of a day, but I think we are relatively calm now. I have given Hunter a little notebook and I've asked him to log in what and when he eats as well as any dizzy episodes. Maybe we'll see a pattern, maybe not. Maybe it will just disappear :wizard:
I'm glad to hear that no medical issue was found. Here's hoping the cardiac results are just as good. Stay warm!

that's what I was thinking...and $10 isn't much for that service.

Jen - Feel better.

I think I will be hitting the Nyquil and heading to bed soon too. Tomorrow I have my yearly physical and have to fast for 12 hrs. before the bloodwork. I can do without eating in the morning, but I HATE not being able to have coffee!!!!

Deb- I am glad that "nothing" seems to be the matter with Hunter. :wizard: that he doesn't have any issues from here on out.

Kristine- Ouch! Glad you went to the dr. Lots of :wizard:

Theresa- I am so glad the interview went well!!

Jen- I hope that you can manage to escape the bug.

Jennifer- Glad your brother can fix your van.

Anne Marie- :yay: on the new ticker.

Debbie- I hope you can still sneak in an August trip.:wizard:

I'm sure I'm missing a bunch. So 's and :wizard: all around.

Howdy....

Deb....hang in there! I know how stressful these things can be

Good luck on your interview Theresa!

AFM....I have a sore/lump that has been bothering me ...I finally went to the doctor. I knew it wasn't good when the doctor lets out a yell "Oh my God, that's huge" :sad2: Apparently it's a cyst with a major infection....I have to take meds for 10 days. That was the good news. She then informed me that these things don't typically go away, but have to be surgically removed....are you freaking kidding me!! But....after last nights SEVERE pain, I decided that surgery couldn't possibly be worse.
:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: Kristine.:grouphug: :grouphug:

Well I am off to take a nice hot shower, then we are going to watch a movie.

Chat with you all later.

Sounds like a fun night!! Enjoy the shower.

It's cold here too. All I want to do is hunker down in my bed and stay there.

And Steffy, lots of :grouphug: for your friend.

Well I thought I knew where we were going :rotfl: Maybe it is just Geneva :rolleyes1

I edited my sig for now lol

So what dates are you going to be in Ohio?

Theresa- Good luck! If you have a suit jacket, you could always wear it with a nice pair of pants and a nice shirt underneath.

I am freezing. I drove with a co-worker to the meeting today. The heat on her van kept going in and out. It would work and then stop working on and off, so we froze. Then the room the meeting in was freezing and the heat totally stopped working for the cold trip back home. I am still cold and have not warmed up yet.

It it supposed to be 1 degree tomorrow for the low and the highs in the teens. I hope I thaw out a bit before then.;)

I hope you are all doing well.

Well, I had my 2nd weigh in tonight. I managed to lose 2.2lbs. I'm sure had I not derailed myself at the bar Saturday night it would have been much better. And if I could actually drink water too. I have no problem drinking it any other time but it's been so freakin' cold all I have been drinking is coffee and hot green tea. Thankfully, I've switched to skim milk and had already cut out the sugar otherwise I probably would have a 20lb gain!

I'm off to bed. I'm exhausted. I probably won't be on tomorrow. I'll be driving home after work if the roads & weather cooperate. Have a great day DDA.

I just bought tickets to Disney on Ice in Manchester, NH. It is only about 1 hr 15 minutes from here. The same show that we missed after Christmas. Hopefully we can make it this time. The tickets were even cheaper too. I'm also watching some ski boots on ebay. I can't afford a new pair as the prices are ridiculous. Hopefully I can get a nice used pair for cheap. I really only ski a couple of times a year and that is while the boys in in lessons so I don't need anything special.

If anybody is still up...send some pixie finding dust this way...we think Dude got out some time this afternoon and it is way to cold for him to be outside.

ETA: the ferret rescue guy was wrong....at least with Dude. He said ferrets have no homing instincts, Dude never left the area surrounding our building. We found him shivering under our porch.

that's what I was thinking...and $10 isn't much for that service.

The guy paid twenty, Garrett & his friend split it.

Hopefully he will try again when we get another good snow.

Robyn you are doing great, any weight loss is better than none :cheer2:

Vicki I hope the weather permits you to come home tomorrow :wizard:

Theresa glad you found Dude!
