DDA Chapter 17

::yes:: It's driving me crazy.

And to top it off, I finally heard from Eric. He's safe, which is a good thing. But he's skating on thin ice with me. Last night I mentioned I needed the extra car seats from his van. He said he would throw them in my van when he went and got dog food. Well, he forgot. And now it's my fault. Why'd you plan a play date and so on and so forth. MEN!!! :headache:

Robyn-I am glad he made it in safely even if he's skating on thin ice now.

:rotfl2:

One day I would really like to take a completely solo trip. I think I would like it. I have done entire days at both WDW and DL alone and had a wonderful time. And I probably wouldn't buy anything either. ;)

I loved my solo trip! We were actually talking about it last night. (For those of you on Facebook, prompted by my husbands smart-alek comment of "Really?" when is said I became a fan of WDW. ;) ) Of course, Phil's take on that was...they say it's a problem when someone starts drinking alone... Crazy man!

Thanks for posting pictures of Timothy, Glynis! I hope he doesn't have a reaction of any of his shots today.

Elin, great trip report. Thanks for sharing with us!

If you all could spare some pixiedust: for Julie. Jack has to have a cat-scan on Thursday. He's 9-months-old now, and the doctors are worried there might be some fluid in his brain, since his head is measuring a bit large and he's not sitting up yet. Hopefully, it's nothing a little occupational therapy can't take care of, but they want to be sure. As you can imagine, the anticipation has Julie pretty anxious. Thanks!

Hope all goes well!

My SIL passes off the resort booking to me  She had a weight watchers meeting. We are booked for June 21 - 27 at Point Sebago and it is at last years rate for at total of $340 for the whole week for up to 6 people per camper. That means the boys can bring friends as my parent's are taking their camper too. That includes childcare and most activities. So that is one thing off my mind for now.

I need to head out the door this minute for work though. TTYL

That sounds like a great deal all around! And lots of fun!

I've been instructed to post these here.... :)

Oh so cute!! I love them all.

I can tell your girls apart with no problem and I've never met them!!!

My cousin's girls really do look identical. I have to see if I can dig up some pics.

and while we were in Billings we had identical twins who looked nothing alike. Meghan was very, very sick when they were babies and that had stunted her growth. I wonder what they look like now at 16?:scratchin

Good morning, DDA!!! Not too much going on here this snowy morning. We ended up with a little over 5" with a little ice underneath. Not too bad now that it's stopped and the plows have caught up. I do need to go shovel, but all we have is a grain shovel (shorter handle, metal shovel, heavy and the snow sticks to the metal) and I really really don't want to do that again. So, I may go get a new shovel first. Otherwise, we're just hanging out by fire and the kids are playing (Kristi, etc just came over).

Jennifer - I hope Kyle makes it home safely!

I was trying to explain to DS that when your tires are only making contact with the ice that steering/braking doesn't matter. When you slide you don't get to pick where you go or when you stop.

Good Morning,

Sounds like everyone is dealing with some rough weather.

I'm sitting here waiting on my pain meds to kick in, thanks to my irrational fear of the dentist I am now minus a tooth.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Debbie -- I'm sorry about your tooth. I hope the meds help.

Jen -- the pictures of the girls are so cute.

Elizabeth -- I hope your DH stays safe today. Some of the city seems impassable, while other parts seem fairly clear. Stay safe!

Deb -- how are you feeling?

Shelton is closed again today, and I can't get in, so I'm here working. The boys are fighting quite a bit, so I'm glad Randy can't go in yet, as he can play referee while I get as much work done as I can. :rotfl:

this weather is just wild!! I am glad Randy is there to play referee too.

Jennifer-those are the cute pictures!

and... oh my...

I think this is a good place for me to stop for the night. I am falling asleep and 20,000 is such a nice round number... Good night everyone.
Congratulations

Ouch! I am sorry, Debbie!

everyone driving in this snow and Ice stay safe and warm.

Morning DDA! Weather here s u c k s. It hasn't stopped snowing since last night it seems. We shouldn't even be at work. I bet you anything that no one comes in the office today. I just want to go home and pack and have Bob decide he's driving to MI in his GMC instead of me and my Focus.

yikes, I vote for the GMC and not the Focus.

I have the interview today. I had to email the interviewer and ask if the company had a website to go to because when I googled the name all I got was an Illinois company. I am excited about the opportunity if I get it.

I love the pictures and the fact that is enough snow to go sledding in for you alll. :goodvibes
Thanks. We get so little snow here that the kids want to go out and play at the drop of a flake.

Miss Elise was just on the news! :) They're still taking votes for the show tonight, but they're showing some throughout the day, too! :goodvibes Ironically, I was concerned about only Avery getting on since hers had more votes! :rotfl:

Good luck Theresa!

That's exactly right! There are "tips" about steering if you start to slide, etc... but it's mostly crap. You can't avoid the ice, but if it makes you start to slip, you just hold on and hope you avoid everything (and everyone avoids you)! Blech!

He's on his way home now...
Off the gas, off the brake and counter-steer.

A TV star at 7 months! :cheer2:

Theresa- Lots of pixiedust: for your interview today.

Debbie- :grouphug:'s

Jennifer- I hope the girls win!!

Marci- Yay for Randy being home and refereeing.

Amy- I hope you all can make it out for your birthday dinner.

Every one that is out and about in this weather stay safe.

Our street is a sheet of ice but all the main roads are clear. Lucy and Emma have their well checkups this afternoon. Later this evening I have WW and then I am meeting a few friends at one of those freezer meal places. We are making up a round of dinners for the one whose husband died over Thanksgiving. Looking forward to a fun night out.

Please stay safe out there, everyone! I took Kristin to work and am teaching this afternoon. You will never guess where the worst road was?!?!? :confused3

In front of our house!!

There is a stand of trees across the street that shades our road and also blocks the wind from "sweeping down the plain" so to speak. So the most snow-covered, slushy-iced piles of snow are at the foot of our driveway. Runner up is the street and parking in front of our studio.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, Theresa! Let us know how it goes!
