yikes!! some of these applications take FOREVER.......and I try and make each cover letter specific to the job. I may go nuts.

The results are in & I do have a uti, so more antibiotics are being order. I swear I am falling apart lol

I survived my 1st meeting at Weight Watchers last night. I went with my girlfriend and it was quite enjoyable. When the leader started the meeting I turned to my girlfriend and told her "I think I went to elementary school and junior high with her" She didn't believe me, then during the meeting she showed a picture of herself at her heaviest and I went "yep, that's her." So as we were leaving, I asked her about it and she confirmed it. We got to talking and she said she moved to Pasadena in '89 and graduated from Northeast. I knew she was a year behind me in school, as was Eric. I asked her if she knew Eric and she did. When I told her he was my DH she couldn't get over it. It is such a small world.

I came home and shortly went to bed. Because of all the rain and cold my knee was killing me. I really dread getting older. I was in tears for a while until my lovely meds kicked in and I fell asleep. Thankfully it has stopped raining so it's not bothering me any longer. Which is a good thing because Mo has decided this is the day to whine, scream, cry at me. All day since 6:30am. She is beyond exhausted and just not sleeping well. I know she is not feeling well, she has lived on soup the past 2 days, but I am exhausted.

Scouts is tonight, I am so looking forward to getting back into our normal routine.

Amy - It might be out of the way, but is there anything good on Tom Sawyer's Island? I've never been on that island, so I wouldn't know...

ETA: Isn't there a honeypot in Pooh's Playful Spot that you might be able to use?

I guess it's my turn to ask for pixie dust! Alan came home from work and announced that his company laid off 13 people today. He thinks he's ok, due to his seniority, but you just never know.

pixiedust: Alan and his co-workers!

The dealership that Chris works for is the only one in the area that hasn't had layoffs, most have had large layoffs. We are hoping that this continues to be the case. They are currently doing an addition which will double the garage area. We are really hoping that they just don't fill those bays until the economy turns around. Chris is pretty high up on the heirarcy, but you never know. I don't think anyone anywhere is truly safe. My restaurant could go under if things continue the way they are :confused3 We are just thankful that we have jobs and we are trying to pay down all of our bills just in case.

pixiedust: that Chris's dealership doesn't have to lay-off and the restaurant can stay afloat. We also are keeping ourselves well-budgeted right now.

Jennifer, cute new siggy!
Even though you weren't happy with the photo shoot, you still got a couple of good shots, and they weren't that expensive, no? I know how frustrating it can be to not have a good photographer that likes to work with the kids.
You did get a few great shots, Jennifer, but I understand your frustration, too. At least now you know that you can cross that studio off your list.

I would love to be at this temperature now, I am already ready for Spring! Enjoy your day :goodvibes

Me, too!!!! I am so ready for Spring, and it won't be here for another 3 months or more.

How about the Sword in the Stone? Or in the kid-size stocks in Liberty Square/Frontierland?

I hope you all have a fabulous trip!

I really like this one! A carousel horse? One of the areas in the POC queu? The Cinderella fountain? The car in front of the Indy race track?

Have a MAGICAL trip!

:wizard: that Molly settles down a bit and that you both can get some rest.

I woke up this morning to see a 40% off code in my email, I have never received one of these before! I am so tickled, maybe this is a sign & we can still make something work :goodvibes

Oh, Janet! I so hope that this is true!!!!

Yes, please submit your ideas! I spent my entire last trip looking for somewhere to photograph our then unborn children, and never found the perfect spot!

What about the little fountain outside Tinker Bell's Treasures? Is it still there? Wouldn't it be perfect for two little girls?

ETA: The one I am thinking of allows you to change your position so that there is a crown on her head. Does that ring a bell with anyone? You can tell my baby is 22!

Here is a picture of them!

I like this one as well as the Wishing Well. Both are kind of out of the way and forgotten about. I like Dumbo's elephant too - that'd be cute to see both of them in that year after year!

I have always been kind of "different" from most people on that. I love parties but the idea of getting wasted just never appealed to me - especially at my wedding. I was usually the odd man out growing up because of this. I also never understood the whole embarassing other people thing - like smashing a piece of cake in the face.

I especially felt like an odd duck in high school and college. That has been a problem for my daughters as well.

We're the same here.

Laura lost 3 very good friends when they decided she wasn't cool enough or popular enough. They like to go the the high school dances and do the "grinding" dances any boy that wants to which makes Laura uncomfortable. I've heard (from one of the mothers who thinks that her daughter was the only one of the group not involved--I'll save judgment on that one) that they sent topless photos to a boy who was trying to "figure out if he's gay." It's been hard on her, because all through elementary school those four were such close friends. I'm good friends with the one girl's mother which makes it even harder. They (including the mothers) just have a different view on some important things than we do. Popularity is definitely a priority there (and I know that in my friend's case that it's because she never felt "popular" enough when she was in high school).

Yes, that's the one that I referred to as "Cinderella's fountain."

I don't think I have a complete photo of it...

Those are so painful. :wizard: :wizard:

:wizard: :wizard: Good job taking the first step. WW will get easier from there. Hopefully you can get some sleep soon.

I have completed my first week of WW. I swear that I have not cheated, not once. My loss for the first week...a whomping one pound this week. That is certainly not the results that I expected the first week. I will plug along though, I really need to lose weight.

OK... I got lots of "work" work done this morning and now it is time to actually GO to work. See you all later on tonight! :wave2:

Robyn, your life does not sound fun today!

I like that fountain. :)

If DS ever gets topless pics of girls and I find out about it those girls will pray for death. They really, really will.
Diva said people refuse to go to the dances at her school because they are NOT allowed to "grind".
Being popular in high school might be nice at the time, but in the real world nobody gives a rat's hat WHAT you were in high school. I have heard that can be a real slap in the face to people who think being popular in high school will somehow matter later on. :rolleyes1
