DDA Chapter 16

Those are some great ideas!

I agree! Thank you all so much! And, great pictures, too! :goodvibes

We'll have to play it by ear, because I don't want to be in the picture, but Noah isn't exactly sitting on his own yet. Maybe that's because I always have him in a "safe" location (exersaucer, Bumbo, etc.), so he doesn't get trampled on by oblivious siblings! :upsidedow

Noah's six-month check-up is tomorrow. I'm anxious to see how big he is!

Hey Elizabeth...I started packing today! Only one more load of laundry to go (Kevin is on his own tonight...I don't do his laundry). I also need to figure out where I stashed Matty's shorts and bathing suit. Hopefully those things aren't in the land of lost like some of the things the DDA has misplaced over the years! :teeth:

If DS ever gets topless pics of girls and I find out about it those girls will pray for death. They really, really will.
Diva said people refuse to go to the dances at her school because they are NOT allowed to "grind".
Being popular in high school might be nice at the time, but in the real world nobody gives a rat's hat WHAT you were in high school. I have heard that can be a real slap in the face to people who think being popular in high school will somehow matter later on. :rolleyes1

:scared1: When I heard that story, I came home and told Laura how happy I was that she wasn't in that group. I can't believe that my friend isn't concerned about this just because she doesn't think her daughter sent a photo. I hate to say it, but my guess is that she did. Even if she didn't, would you be happy that your daughter was friends with all the girls that did even if they are the popular girls.

I know that popularity is overrated and so does Laura. It's funny, because some of those same people think that Laura is less mature than the other girls because she is not boy crazy, into all the trendiest hair/make-up/clothes, and embarrassed about the "grinding". Actually, she is more mature and is learning that it's best to be comfortable and confident on her own than being a sheep in that group. That's not to say it's been easy.

How about in the TTA? You could prop him in the corner of the seat and the person across from him could get the photo without you in it.

Depending on how busy it is by the sword and the stone, you could prop him up in front of it for a quick picture.

I am FURIOUS with Photopass right now!!!!! :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: I preordered the photobook and photo cd. I submitted both orders on Jan. 5. My pictures expired Jan. 6. On Jan. 7 I get an email from photopass saying that they canceled my book order because " a product in the order contained photo(s) which did not meet the content guidelines outlined in our uploaded photos policy." The only picture that I can imagine meets this policy is of Nicholas and Alyssa holding their guns at the shooting gallery in MK!!!! It is a WDW attraction!!!! If they think images of it are indecent or violent, why do they have the attraction?!?!?!? I am so mad my head is spinning. I've emailed them and they will respons "in 24-48 hours". I need a phone number so I speak with someone in person about this and find out who made the idiotic decision to cancel my order!!!!! :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious:

I sure hope you get this resolved quickly, Tammi! That is ridiculous.

DS is not popular, but he knows the popular kids and at least they aren't mean to him. Yet. That may change in high school.
Right now DS and I are having discussions about how good kids can get into HUGE trouble when they have too much time on their hands. His one friend is new to our school this year. His mom just got divorced and I think being a single parent is just kind of befuddling her. She lets him run all over the place unsupervised. DS was asking me why he can't be dropped off at the mall. Um, because the mall is where you go to SHOP? DS hates to shop, so unless I am taking him to the movies he has no business at the mall.
Kudos to Laura. She will have a much easier time after high school than those other little wh-,um, trollops.
If I had a girl and I heard about the topless thing I would be concerned on 2 fronts.
One, I would beat my child within an inch of her life for sending topless photos. I would tell her I hope they end up on the internet because that's what she would deserve.
Two, I would again beat her within an inch of her life for engaging in behavior that is damn close to being a hate crime. It's harassment at the very least. If that boy is gay (or even if he isn't) he has a rock solid case against those girls. I bet if his parents wanted to sue they could win, and the girls' parents would be liable for damages. Of course that assumes that the boy's parents know what is going on, and they probably don't.

I wish I had the number. As far as I know, there is NOT a number to call. When we won that PhotoPass CD from DVC and I had already pre-ordered a CD I did NOT want to try to explain that in an e-mail. I never did find a phone number, and I have read other threads where folks need the number for something and haven't ben able to find one.

This spot might be better for the girls. (And it could be composed much better!)

Here are a couple of other ideas...
You could have him out in front instead of peeking through the hole.

Actually, the boy requested the photos. He was the one that told the girls that he couldn't decide if he's gay and thought the photos would help. Yep, they fell for it.

Anybody know how to get orange Expo marker out of a cream colored cotton shirt? Princess was playing at her friend's house and got marker on her shirt. I was a little worried that it wouldn't come out, and now I see it won't.

Tammi - from Stich Kingdom -
The preferred method to contact Disney's PhotoPass is via the Contact Us link found at the bottom of the disneyphotopass.com site and should yield you a response within a couple of days (which shouldn't be a concern even if the issue is time sensitive). If you feel you are not getting an appropriate response, you can try emailing them directly at wdw.photo.imaging@disneyworld.com or leave a voice mail at 407-560-6068.

OMG! :scared1: :rotfl2:
Well, now, that's a horse of a different color!
I take back my second statement and stand by my first. I hope the boy puts the photos on the internet.

Chanon - That's handy to know! It still doesn't sound like there is much chance of reaching a person, though. :sad2:

I called Member Services this morning. The recording said they are unable to make dining ressies today because the system is down, and the wait time could be up to 15 minutes. Yep, it was 15 minutes. And no, they did not have any other dates open up for concierge. I wish I could just let it go and leave the savanna nights alone, but that isn't going to happen. :rolleyes1

not the brightest bulbs are they??

Cassidy is fairly popular (at least by this wallflower's estimate) but would never, ever stoop to the levels some of these other ummmmmm...girls (and some guys) go to to : a) be popular and b) stay popular. She finally has a boyfriend (after almost a year of being boyfriendless) and is definitely boy crazy but is so in touch with her self worth that she would never base anything she does on popularity. As she said once....imagine me trying to get my girls into some of these items.:rotfl:

I've gotten other colors out by shout'ing it and then soaking in oxy-clean.

Being popular in itself is not a bad thing. It's what some of them do to be/stay popular. It's also the group that they are popular in. Cassidy definitely sounds like a kid who has her head in the right place.

Laura definitely has an interest in boys, but these girls can't seem to go through life without having a boyfriend (even if they change them regularly).

Some of the other things are just differing priorities and not necessarily good/bad...just not the same as ours. You should have seen the production they put on for Snowball last year. That was when Laura and the girls had pretty much already split but us mothers kept trying to get them back together, so we did much of the Snowball stuff with them. It just wasn't the taste, style, or level of expenditure that we are comfortable with. That doesn't mean they are wrong, it just shows that we are different. They have different attitudes towards "needing" the latest fashions, etc.

Thanks! I might have to get some Oxy clean. I put Shout on it but that doesn't seem to have done any good. At least I remembered to check the stain before I ran the shirt through the dryer, so there is still hope!
