Good Afternoon Everyone,

Elin, Congrats to Kathrin, sounds like what seemed to be a bad thing turned out for the best, hopefully her former co workers will fair as well.

Amy - PD :wizard: for your Grandpa, have a wonderful trip.

Theresa - Hang in there kiddo

Marci - Welcome home, sorry about the virus, looks like we were both at Disney the same time.

Glynis - The christening and dinner sound wonderful

Janet - Make sure you take care of yourself, the Ohio trip sounds fun, but we'll definitely miss seeing you.

Congrats to all the weight loss efforts, that's a band wagon that I need to jump back on myself. Have you ever noticed that when the lines are long at Disney you eat and shop more?

I hear that there is a hickey research project that needs some raw data! :rotfl2:
:rotfl2:

they are the worse...you have to come up with some whimsical little ditty that has a deeper meaning

I would make the kids come up with the deep meaning. What do you FEEL when you look at this piece of yarn? How does that feeling help you be a better person?

Has Starbucks always had tea products? I thought they only had the normal green or chai...but I got an email today about vanilla rooibos, berry, london fog...and they are all latte style!

They have always had tea BAGS in all sorts of flavors, but this sounds new. It sounds like Teavana is pulling some business from Starbucks.

DS just called. His first day back was uneventful. Those are the kind of days I like.

Here's a picture just for you Elin,

Great news...My ski pants fit. I was sure that I bought a size small last year, but I actually bought a size medium so they still fit :cool1: I need them tomorrow for skiing, but I have so put off trying them on.:upsidedow

any suggestions for a gift for a 3 year old buy.....he's very physical...doesn't really sit still much in the $70-100 range?

I just made an amazingly delicious dinner. It was even a thumbs up with my fussy kids. I used wheat thins fiber selects. I used about 26 crackers which is 4 points and crushed them fairly well. Then I coated white meat chicken strips with the crackers and fried them in an extra light virgin olive oil (just a light coating on the pan). I also sauteed some veggies in teriaki marinade and served it with brown rice. so mine was 4 oz of chicken on a 1/2 cup of brown rice with a ton of veggies for 8 points. It was delicious. Hunter even went back for seconds on the chicken :thumbsup2 I don't often find diet fare delicious. And I cooked enough for tomorrow. The best part is that I actually ate all of my veggies and my essential oils (I never do that)

I just realized that I forgot to thank Robyn and Terry for the ornament exchanges that they sent. Leslie's package arrived just as we were leaving for my dad's house, so she opened it in the car. She was thrilled with the Hannah Montana ornaments, and all the goodies, too. She did share with her siblings, so they were happy campers as well.

Terry sent the cutest Winnie the Pooh ornament for Timothy. It is so darling! We just love the classic Pooh, and his side of the boys room is all classic Pooh! The 4 parks ornament is just wonderful, too! I hope to someday get to all 4 parks. Thanks so much!

I wish that I had pictures of them, but Alan put all the Christmas stuff away before I had a chance. Please know that we are thrilled with all the ornaments we received this year.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!

How about a large crate that his parents can put him in when they have had enough? Oh, wait. That would be a gift for the PARENTS, wouldn't it?

Come on over! :teeth: We are planning on Cedar Point, Wildwater Kingdom, Cleveland Zoo and Rainforest, Geneva on the Lake and a visit to Lake Erie and a possible drive up to Niagara Falls...
Boy you guys are going to be busy. Let me know your dates and where you will be. I could combine Ohio with a trip to PA!

Sunday was a beautiful day! Timothy's christening was just lovely! And the Thanksgiving dinner afterwards was everything I could have hoped for! The neatest thing was that my dad held Timothy every minute while he was here. He's always shied away from holding any of the grandbabies, but he seems to be particularly close to Timothy. I think it's because the day he was born, my dad heard my mom tell him to get up out of bed and go to the hospital. Whatever the reason, Timothy seems to be helping dad deal with his grief!
That's so sweet. I can't wait to see pictures!

Hi guys! We're back. My kids downloaded a lovely antivirus pro parasite while we were at Disney, so I haven't been able to hit the internet. I was able to get on my home computer yesterday and get caught up. Why are you guys so chatty when I'm away, and quiet when I'm around? ;) :rotfl: Don't answer that!

Jake's birthday was yesterday, and since they were still out of school, I worked from home. It's been rainy and very cold here the past few days, but I can see the sun out of my window finally!

I'll give you guys a good update later -- I just wanted to say hello, that we had a great trip, and that crowds were just as heavy (or heavier) than last year.

Congrats to Kathrin on getting a job!

Prayers said for your Grandpa, Amy.

Janet -- I hope your infection goes away ASAP. Happy belated birthday to Garrett.

Glynis -- congrats on Timothy's Christening! It sounds like you and your family are trying to make the best of what you can for the first Christmas without your Mom. We followed our tradition during our Disney trips of sending two balloons up to Mom from Main Street U.S.A. :goodvibes

Have a good day everyone! I need to get back to work but will try to give you more of an update later. :)
This brought tears to my eyes, Marci.  I'm sure your mom loves it.

Welcome back. I'm looking forward to hearing about your trip, and of course, pictures!

I'm sure you've hear this already, but you need a lock that can lock your own tires together, do not lock around a WDW object as they will cut the lock and move it. I suggest a bike cable that you can pick up for $1 at dollar Tree or the like. You can even lock 2 of them together if you need more length. Cheap and easy :thumbsup2
Yep, and that lock that I linked to would work for that.

My travel dates are now Aug 3-7 and Aug. 17-21. Back to the drawing board.

Tonight on Discovery at 9pm they are spotlighting Seltzers Bologna. Hal and I lived a block away from it when we first moved back to Pa. Now his brother works there. I don't think he is in any picture, but the segment is really good. Lots of humor too.

August 9-15 at WDW? Anne Marie and I will be there that week, and possibly Janet. And Debbie & Richie if we can convince them! ;) And Robyn if I can convince her. And any other DDA I can ensnare. :rolleyes1

I like being a young aunt!! ;)

I'll ditto you!!

Thanks, but what is liquid starch? I have no clue.:confused3 :confused3

Liquid starch is a liquid substance you use to starch clothing. You should be able to find it at Walmart with the laundry soap.

The Oobleck is awesome, it is like a solid until disturbed then it acts like a liquid. It is actually a solid liquid non-Newtonian substance. If you make a large enough container of it you can run on it.

Time warp has some awesome footage of Oobleck.

You could also make lip gloss.

vegetable shortening and Kool aid

or Vaseline and Kool Aid or cocoa powder

Janet- Good luck with the teeth. Enjoy the trip to Ohio, I would love to go to Cleveland, but I would need to go to the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame.

Kristine- I hope the car gets fixed with not much cost

It is icing here. Who knows what will happen.

Biggest Loser is on, they already have an ambulance on its way.

I'm thinking of getting this bag as my Disney bag. What do you think?
