Happy New Year, DDA! :yay:

I had my nap on the couch, now I am WIDE awake so I can worry about DH. He will be leaving shortly, just in time to hit all of the traffic from the people trying to get out of the thing downtown.

Debbie - I hope you guys have a FABULOUS trip! :wizard:

DH has arrived safely at the distribution center. :thumbsup2 At least now if somebody plows into him he will be in the big truck instead of his little car.

Debbie-Have a grand trip!! May it be stress and worry free so that there are more in your future!!

Enjoy your trip Debbie!!!!!:cool1: :cool1:

Thanks everyone, we will be staying in Tallahassee tonight so that we can get up verrryyy early and arrive in Disney around 9:00 am Friday. I certainly hope a few people leave before we get there, :scared1: , looks like it will be fastpass or nothing.

DH is still having problems with his back but it has improved, hopefully the drive won't make matters worse.

Since it's such a short trip I won't be taking the laptop so I'll check in when we get back, have a wonderful weekend everyone. I hope to hear that everyone is feeling much better when I get back.

Debbie I hope you both have a wonderful time!

I feel asleep about 9:30 last night. Gary woke me up at Midnight to tell me Happy New Year & then I fell back asleep.

Now I need to get ready for work so hopefully I can get done early!

HAPPY NEW YEAR to my wonderful DDA family :goodvibes

Elizabeth, I'm glad they're making your mom follow up so closely!

Tammi,
Wow, that is what Dana calls a "serious rookie mistake!"

:faint: I don't even know if it can be qualified as that... I'm quite sure they didn't get in!

Chuck read about this earlier. We both have one of these but haven't used them since the problem has been reported. We are both talking about getting them out to see if they work.

It looks like it was just the 30GB 2006 model. Still, it seems a ton of them are still around because it made the news VERY quickly!

ETA: Sorry yours were affected! They are supposedly up and running now, after IT people worked furiously!

I hope your DH had a very uneventful morning driving!

So I am officially wiped out. We hosted Christmas dinner here, so I cleaned and cooked. A lot. Then 3 days of Kaufmans, as reported, so I cleaned and cooked, a whole lot more.

Monday, I lost my mind and tackle giant household projects that have been sitting around for months, plus undecorated and cleaned thoroughly. I worked for about 10 hours straight, went to bed, and repeated on Tuesday (so I could undo the messes I had made the day before). Tuesday night the winds limited my sleep to about 2 hours, I cleaned all day yesterday and cooked - a lot, again - and then hosted NYE with family and friends. We stayed up not only until midnight, as was my goal (I told them they could do whatever they want but that there is no way I was making it that long), but until 3am. The girls woke up at 6:30, happy as clams and well rested, and wouldn't go back to sleep no matter how hard I willed it (through the monitor) ;)

I'm doing nothing today. Nothing. Eating and watching football, perhaps, and taking care of my girls (although even that might be very minimalistic :rolleyes1 ) and doing nothing else.

:rotfl:

HAPPY NEW YEAR, DDA! :grouphug:

And one more thing -- I'm finally going back to Disney World this year! :yay:  :cheer2: :dance3:

Believe it or not, they did. She called around 10PM last night and they were leaving because everyone had sore feet. How would they ever last a week? And if you've made it that long, it's only 2 more hours until the fireworks! Anyway, she rode Buzz, TTA, Indy Speedway, Jungle Cruise. No SM, HM, BTMRR, SpM, iasw. She may have done more but that's all he got out of her.

That is quite a week there! Buckets of pixie dust that the girls have their most mellow day ever and give you a chance to recoup some. Sounds like you had a great night, though!

Yeah, they are pretty self-sufficient at this point. :thumbsup2 ;)

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: for Disney World!!!

Good morning. :)

They kids are still sleeping, thank goodness. I told them if anyone gets up before 9AM they will be taking a nap in the afternoon.

My parents are coming today, so we will have our NYs pork roast and sauerkraut for dinner. I also have a 30% coupon for the Melting Pot so maybe we'll go there this weekend.

I woke up with a sinus headache and one ear plugged up. Hopefully they both will clear up soon.

Elizabeth - is DH home safe?
