What the heck is this white crap falling from the sky?????

Grumble, grumble. I have to go to the grocery store. I have to finish laundry. I have to undecorate. I have to mop my floors. :headache: :headache:

What I want to do is be a bum and upload my photopass pictures and put borders on them and work on my trip report. I want to meet Terry someplace and get her cd of all the trip pictures and give her mine. I want to buy some adult beverages. :hippie: :hippie:

We shall soon see what actually happens. In the mean time...

party:Happy New Year's Eve!!!! party:

Good Morning Friends,

Happy New Years Eve!

It's time for me to head back to work, then tonight it will be packing and some cleaning, no party here. Tomorrow I have to work in the morning before hitting the road. DH's back is on the mend but still not completely better, hopefully today we will see much more improvement.

Deb have a safe drive and a great trip

I spent the evening playing photographer for my dad, he is a member of a square dance club and they are having a two night dance, with an international caller. Square dancing is definitely not my thing but this guy was really pretty good, not to mention a major flirt. (I have to admit it felt pretty good to be hit on :rotfl: )
Where was he from?

Hope he's 100% by tomorrow!:wizard: Have a great trip!!!!

Thanks..yes we will make a claim since the damage looks like its going to be more than our deductable. Dana also submitted a police report which also helps with the insurance claim.

It was kind of funny when Dana saw the big wrench he said "wow nice tool" It's definately an expensive wrench. So when he brought it to the police the policeman who saw it said "Wow at least you get to keep that!" :rotfl: I guess men are very into tools.
Is is at all possible it came fly out of the back of a pickup truck? Why abandon the tool? Why not hold on to it for more "fun"?

Elizabeth-I'm so excited! I ordered a few accessories for my camera-a travel size charger for the battery (I already bought a 2nd battery when I got the camera), a remote control so I can take photos on the tripod without touching the camera (I may need a new tripod someday ;) ), a small lens case for my 35mm lens, and an instructional DVD.

Is he really not getting it, or is he acting silly because he's getting attention, however negative it may be? Just a thought.

He totally cannot recognize a few letters. Some he can get instantly, some he needs to go through the alphabet song to figure out and others just don't ring a bell at all. We've started timing him as he takes a really long time given the opportunity, but those same letters keep giving him problems. Hopefully with enough practice we will drive them into his brain. We bought him an ABC cd, a computer game and a leap frog thing with magnetic letters. You can pop them into a console and it will tell you the letter and the sounds that the letter makes. We're trying to approach it from all angles. I've even let him write in the condensation on the windows  I've definitely decided that I do not have the patience to be a teacher.

You're making progress

Well they were calling for only 2 inches here and it surpassed that a while ago.

It's snowing here. There is only a coating to an inch predicted for this morning. Then clearing off for late morning, early afternoon, with more snow later today.

I remember when I was little I would take a pen and trace the letters in the headlines of the newspaper. Just another suggestion.

Anyone know the airport that you fly into for Disneyland? I'm considering going there for the 1/2 Marathon in Sept. 2009. I wanted to look at airfare costs so I can see if it is even feasible.

I know I'm really late seeing this, and you've probably already been answered, but we love to fly into John Wayne airport. It's really small, and never crowded. Very close to DL as well.

I now have 2 rooms completely cleaned :cool1: It's at least a start. Thankfully Hunter's closet wasn't nearly as bad as I anticipated. I'm hoping to run out and pick up a few ornament totes before work. I'm hoping those will protect my ornaments without having to individually wrap each one :confused3 Once I get those I can start taking down ornaments when I have an extra minute here or there.

Thanks again! :teeth:

I am so glad you like them!!!:goodvibes

They had four parks one world shirts and we talked about how we could have changed it to say one day but decided we didn't have time :teeth:

I am being such a stick in the mud cause I don't want to go out in this wind and cold.:rolleyes1

I am just in the process of putting my pictures on a cd. I do have borders on my photopass pictures. They have a lot more of borders to choose from this time. I love it!!!

We're off for some New Years Eve bowling!

We have appetizers when we get home & play some more Wii Fit & Wii Ski.

If I am not on later,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!

We are leaving for Julie's house soon. I doubt if we'll stay until midnight, but I still want to wish you all a happy and safe New Year's Eve! See you in 2009! party:

We bought 4 of them the day after Christmas - 1 for Katrina, 1 for Becky, and 2 for Chuck & I. We no longer have room for all of our ornaments on our tree so we put all of the ones that were still in the bags in the boxes. We are all really happy with them. We bought the stacking ones. Chuck likes being able to see all of the ornaments and the memories that they bring. We may need one more. :lovestruc We ended up practically filling a garbage bag with paper towel from all the wrappings.

I must have read my own thoughts into it. :rotfl2: :rolleyes1

Oh, my. What does that say about MY thoughts on it? :scared1:

I wonder if somebody saw them with the wrench so they dropped it to avoid having it in their possession? Kids are stupid - sometimes there is no explanation for their behavior. :confused3
DH bought his remote before our August trip. That was the one he drove like 80 miles to get. I gave him a tripod and a monopod for his birthday, and he already had the Gorilla pod. He is going to look like a pack mule if he tries to carry all that stuff.

Be safe on the roads! :wizard: Happy New Year! :)

So we finished our errands for the day.

Sent the shorts back to Nike.com, deposited my paycheck, returned a shirt to Sears because it was SUPPOSED to be long-sleeved and on sale. It was short sleeved and full price! Bought DS a few things at Penney's (they have 70% off the original price, like Deb said they would). I bought him a Nike hooded sweatshirt for $13! Got Princess's hair cut, returned the library books. Now we are home to pop the laundry in the dryer. I told the kids they could have McDonald's for lunch, so we need to hit the drive thru before the exterminator comes at 1 PM.

Oh, and Hot Topic has 50% off the lowest marked price on clearance items. We didn't see anything, but they had a ton of T-shirts marked down.

Bethany is in St. Aug. Florida with her mom for winter break. They went down the day after Christmas. Bob was talking to Bethany last night and found out that they were going to MK today! :scared: I'm CERTAIN that her mom has NO CLUE about what it's going to be there like today, with absolutely NO planning involved. More like "what do you want to do for NYE? Hey, let's drive down to MK for the day. Ok, sounds like fun." They were driving 3 hours from St. Aug this morning. I bet Bob that she would be lucky to ride 5 things, provided they even get INTO the park. There is NO WAY that they would arrive before 10AM, just knowing her mother and the fact that she doesn't do mornings well. When I say arrive, I mean arrive as in driving INTO the park. Add another hour just to get through the parking gate, park, tram and monorail. Plus MK was an EMH morning, starting at 7AM. I can't wait to hear about their day. I have visions of it being a disaster. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised, but I doubt it.

I don't think that will go well. I think the park probably reached at least a stage 1 closure fairly early, but who knows. Maybe the economy has thrown the numbers off. On the other hand, Marci said it is packed. I guess we'll see how it goes. I hope her mom has an alternate plan. :rolleyes1
