We actually had company today so now I suppose it will snow and or freeze as never never get company unless we have a cookout and invite people.

dinner is done....time to cuddle and watch Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2. While Jim watches the Broncos self-destruct.

Night all!! See you in the morning!!

Congratulations on the house Tia,

I agree with everyone who said home inspection, a definite must. We looked at school districts too.

I was talking to my daughter about homes just the other day, they are having one built. My thoughts were, if you are considering this a starter home, keep in mind it's marketability for the time when you decide to sell and upgrade, if you think it might be your final home, make sure that it will be suitable for you in years to come. I would never even consider a two story home, as much as I like them it wouldn't be practical with my bum knees, I would also make sure there was a seperate shower that was handicap acessible, several of my relatives got to the point where stepping into a tub was not possible.

If there's a little spare PD out there I could use some down here, DH has pulled a muscle in his back and is walking around like he has a corn cob you know where. I told him to go to the doctor in the morning and see what he says, we have a road trip in four days. :headache:

Thank you. My brother wants to stay right at the track, but it is expensive and there are no ammenities at all. I think we will probably stay at a nice campground nearby. I'd rather have electricity (air conditioning), sewer and water, a nice pool, you get the idea. Even if we have to drive 12 miles in heavy traffic I think we will be MUCH happier offsite :thumbsup2

I debated about buying him some face wash, but I am pretty sure he won't use it. He just has a few blackheads on his chin right now, and I know he will use the little acne pads. As he gets older he will probably have to use more of a "system" for his skin. Right now he still has "kid" skin instead of "teen" skin.

Hunter is just starting to get blackheads and pimples. Even if he only uses the wash occasionally it does make a difference.

So at what age do I get to look forward to this starting?

My kids were 10 and 11 when the blackheads and pimples started. I think that they may be on the younger side for starting puberty, but I'm not sure. Nick at 13 is struggling with his voice cracking and that has been since this summer.

Oh no. Is this related to his neck issue from the last trip??:wizard: :wizard:

it's not pretty....worse of all, Bill is running around like a big skirt all hysterical....I may slip him a Valium...and I'm not kidding

Ok....I'm picturing the dancing elephants from Fantansia! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

:rotfl2: I really hope the situation didn't degenerate any more but this was too funny not to comment on!

:wizard: that he goes to the doctor and feels better soon! What's with him pulling muscles right around WDW vacations? :sad2:

I see you are weeding your way through the pages. I was hoping you were compiling a trip report, with pictures. How is your headache?

I hope he feels better in time for the trip! :wizard: Four days is a decent amount of time to get some meds and rest his back, so hopefully he will feel OK by the time you leave! Stock up on Advil!

Jen Chris is sitting here commiserating with you. Dallas is getting smoked so he knows that you are not happy. Tampa lost earlier and Tampa is Chris' favorite. Then he needed the Jets to win to put NE in the playoffs and unless there is a miracle in the next 30 seconds that isn't going to happen. He says it is a horrible day for football.
It was horrible. I bet you guys could hear me yelling. Tell him sorry about TB and NE . I was gonna call you guys earlier, but i didnt know if he was feeling better.

Are you going to the wedding?
.
!

Yes! I am so excited-- a disney wedding is going to be so fun!

Heidi how far is Dorney Park from you? That looks like a fun place. What about any white water rafting places?

It has been raining cats & dogs here all day & we have a tornado watch in effect till 7pm along with a flood watch. This is Dec. right? :confused3 Other than our basement taking in a little water, we really do not have to worry about flooding. But those close to the river, I'm sure they have much more to worry about.

Kristine I hope the sewer is still holding up for you all :wizard:

The nasty weather you all were experiencing yesterday played havoc with our flight last night. We were delayed twice, and finally departed 100 minutes late, arriving at our Park 'n' Fly at BWI at 1:15 a.m. Before our flight could board and take off they first had to call in security and the Orlando PD to take one of our potential passengers off the property. He had expressed his displeasure a little too vocally to me personally and to the crew at the gate in some pretty nasty terminology. So he (and his really stupid wife who stood by him through it all) were removed from the airport under a lot of duress. :confused3

Thanks for all of the great advice so far! I really appreciate it. This is all something I haven't thought a lot about before since it was so far in the future.

So what is everyones favorite and least favorite features of your current (or any, I guess) home?

I wish my laundry was upstairs. I wish I had bought the stainless appliances. I love my garage. I love my fireplace.
