Good morning everyone--why im up at 730, i have no idea! ugh! Ive been up for awhile ad tried forcing myself back to sleep--didnt work!

I have considered e-mailing Len at the UG and asking for a "duck and dodge" custom touring plan. I bet it would be wildly popular!

My suitcases have been out shortly after John booked the trip. Just ask Elizabeth.

We haven't even considered packing. Maybe after Christmas.... I think I might go nuts when I realize how close this trip is a little while into the new year.

Chris is sitting up. This is a vast improvement over his moans of "I'm dying". Remember he doesn't get sick so he is either well or dying I was sure that he wouldn't survive the day. When I suggest Aleve he gasped as he couldn't possibly keep it down. Well imagine his suprise when he kept it down and he started to feel better.

I think that's the kind that you have to just run from, and do your best to avoid anyone inflicted! Kind like leprosy...?




It's Sunday! I have Cinnamon rolls in the oven, then it will be almost "lunchtime", which is the estimated departure time, at least for some of the family. The "kids" might stick around a bit, but that's not so bad.

I'm so grateful for how generous they are, and how much they love my children..... but I will be happy when we can just return to our normal, mild-stress lives

Today is un decorating day along with laundry, it's my last day off this year. We'll be in Disney on my next one. We are considering this our "Test Trip", if all goes well there will most likely be a few more long weekend trips to The World.

We won't be doing any packing until the New Years Eve, I work a half day New Years and we leave when I get off so it will have to be done that evening. It's such a short trip that we will be sharing one suitcase so it's not a big deal.

We just had a late night play date. Chris, Nick, Colby and I just played Disney Think Fast. I thought that I'd have a chance since Chris is under the weather. Turns out there is more luck than skill involved...Hunter was in last place until the final round and stole the win anyway It is a fun game though.

Bob got me that for Christmas. I've played the solo version just to try it out.

Today is un decorating day along with laundry, it's my last day off this year. We'll be in Disney on my next one. We are considering this our "Test Trip", if all goes well there will most likely be a few more long weekend trips to The World.

Blech. I hate that day. For me it will be next week. But my parents will be here so they can help.

Tia - I have to tell you, our envelope was all destroyed. The sorting facility where you mailed the cards in CA must have had some issue. The card was intact, though. DH was sure it happened on our end until I told him what Jennifer said. Of course with our mail service it would be logical to assume it happened here!

Danged Anaheim post office! I hope the family's pictures make it to them. Guess I'd better do some follow ups there.

We received cards from Amy, Vicki and Elin today too. Thank you guys.

I am really, really excited about Christmas next year! With my new stockings, my new tree stand, and all of my new ornaments I will have more Christmas spirit than you can shake a stick at! I was looking for a topper, a wreath, and a stand this year and I managed to get all of those. Of course my stand hasn't actually arrived yet, so something could still go wrong there.

Ooh, I'll let you know what we do for that portion of Terra's party if we come up with anything good. I think we're still on the "Playhouse Disney", aka something from every show, idea. I told Terra we'd have to start the planning portion once we got back from CA since I know there will be some creative processes needed to inact her ideas.

And now, for my big news! From all of the info I have it looks to be pretty set so I don't think I can jinx it by telling.

Our best Christmas present of all? Phil's parents are buying us.....A HOUSE!

A house! Any house, anywhere we want to live. Okay, obviously within reason, but we're thinking 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, probably ranch style, hopefully at least a partially finished basement. Based on the timing and everything else, it will be in St. Louis. We'd love to move back east, but the timings just not right for a big move so we're happy with settling ourselves in here for now.

Long story short, in one way or another his parents have paid for most to all of his sister's and brother's houses. His sister's was a few years ago, his brothers was this past year. Now they have decided that it is our turn. With the housing market how it stands now they really want us to move kind of quickly on it. In fact, I think his mom's words were "talk to Tia about it and call me in a few days." So, I've been scouring realtor sites and seeing what's out there. I've also got a friend who is an agent so she's going to help us as well. I'm really happy with some of the choices and prices I am seeing in our area so that is really good news.

Right after New Year's we'll start hitting open houses, touring houses, etc. Terra's got a list of things she would like to have in a house. Me too of course! I'm also scouring Craigslist to keep an eye out for furniture deals. We may be light on furniture and decor for awhile, but I don't care. I just can't believe we'll actually have our own home. It's like a dream as I know we wouldn't be able to afford one on our own for a long time.

Now to hit you guys up for some help! Any suggestions to a first time home buyer of things to look for, ask about, check up on?
