sounds like a great time Tammi
Thanks. Well, it's all in my head right now. I'll have to wait and see what the price ends up being before it all comes to fruition.

So I think I've pretty much given up on using my Airtran coupons. Anyone still in need of any?

so we ended up going to a different mall today.....took a half hour to find a parking spot. :scared1:

But before that we went to Linens n Things....2 comforters for $20:cool1:

Everybody had a good shopping day (except me) and we picked some food up from Jimmy John's and are going to play a game and go to sleep early. We picked up Pictureka and are going to try that (we have mainly DVD and word games so we picked something out of the ordinary)

night all!!

thats like my trip to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area this summer. I know for sure we will go to a game. and do Six flags but not sure what else.

:rotfl: :rotfl:

I wouldn't ever, ever bring an animal even long distances without a specific invitation.

You do not bring animals uninvited to someone's home. That is just so wrong on so many levels. Is she too comfortable with you so blind or trying to make a statement that she is in control?

I would NEVER bring a pet uninvited to someone's house! While a pet might be fine in it's own environment, they act totally different around strange surroundings. Peeing, barking, scared, excited, out of control. Believe me I know this from experience when my brother brought his new puppy over when Leighanna was a baby! I urged them to put it in its carrier and put it in the garage. I am a pet lover, but sheez, you cannot socially visit in a calm and respectful manor with a wild animal running amuck!
I hope that things calm down for you soon!

I would have to tell them the dog needs to stay home or put in boarding while they are away. I would be very upset myself! Sorry but that is just rude & very inconsiderate :sad2:

If a dog pee'd on my carpet ONCE that dog would NEVER come back. You have crawling babies. Babies should not have to crawl in dog pee. I would tell your SIL she needs to pay to have your carpets cleaned professionally and that the dog will not be allowed in the house again.

:headache: UGH!!! I would be SO mad!!!!!

Well, at least I can commiserate here :) Elizabeth, my dog has peed on my carpet more than once, so it's a bit hypocritical to say that, unfortunately! (We do have our carpets cleaned, though, and now own a kick-#$*@ spot lifter since our girls puke green and orange all over my house

To be honest, Vicki, I think it's total ignorance. My MIL thinks nothing of it if Bella does anything I mentioned (shocking, I know). My SIL and her fiancee are actually being REALLY proactive this time, and the dog has been somewhat calm, after she got over the initial excitement of being here with my dog. But seriously, I don't know if it's small-town mentality or what, but it really doesn't ever seem to cross their mind when they do ANYTHING over normal boundaries.

So really, I don't even know that I would mind Bella being here (under certain circumstances -- they were farther away, she stayed crated when necessary or in the basement, she wasn't a raving lunatic, etc ;) ).... IF THEY HAD ASKED. I thought it might just be me, but at least a few of you agree that it's just rude!

I made the royal icing. We had on tragedy to start. These house parts had come from Mary K's house to the office 55 miles then 12.5 miles to my house then sat on my kitchen counter (in zip lock bags) for about a week. Every house front was a bit broken and one roof the we couldn't fix:
...

Did you read my blog about gingerbread houses?! I hate them! (Yours look great, though! I hope you made it through less stressed than I always ended up! :rotfl:)

I just took one of 4 employment placement tests....and I am going to shoo the rest of my family out for awhile later today to finish the others.

I would love any spare pixie dust on Monday that this agency is able to place me quickly.

:wizard:

Oooh, that's my goal too! I love games and want to have a great big collection of them.

No, it was just a regular card. I'll post a copy of her Christmas pictures though as soon as I scan them in.

That's just not right. I'd never bring my dog along without express permission.

Yeah, we have a pretty substantial few shelving units in the basement, but I'm not sure how many. My parents collection is fabulous, and we play them all, too! :teeth:

Please do post Terra's pictures, when you get them in! That mail was too weird!

I feel guilty complaining after the RIDICULOUS amount of stuff piled in my living room from my inlaws, so I'll keep it just to the dog issue and not anything my MIL, although it's pretty typical.

OH! I do have to tell you all this one, though. It was quickly squelched so I mostly just think it's HILARIOUS. My in-laws wouldn't get the joke, though... I know you all will.

MIL: "[FIL] and I just put in vacation requests for the time you'll be in Disney World in March. We thought we might like to go to Florida in the spring anyway, so we thought we could go and just watch the girls sometimes so you can have time together, or hang out with you all ...."

Kyle and Jen, simultaneously: "No, not on the girls first trip." (Very definitively).

MIL: "Oh.... we thought that would be perfect. We would just take the girls when you wanted blah blah blah".

Kyle and Jen: "No, not on their first trip."

MIL: "Well, but..."

Kyle: "Maybe some day, although really we've already talked about this and you know you won't "do Disney" the way we do, and Jen's not going to compromise our trips, but their first trip is something we've been talking about since before the girls were born, and nobody else is invited."

MIL: "Well....."

(Are you freaking kidding me? This conversation didn't end here. She doesn't have a clue! :rotfl:)

I hope you all are enjoying your evening! :goodvibes:

I had Jeff bring home pizza for supper as I was not feeling up to cooking. He surprised me with Pineapple on my Canadian bacon pizza. We normally only get one topping. He said because I was not feeling well I could use a surprise.:lovestruc

Oh yes, I forgot to include a show in my original list. Alyssa might enjoy the AG store, now that she is into Kit. Santa brought her an AG doll, the Just Like Me one, a few years ago and she could care less about it. The Molly and Samantha shows are running on Hallmark on the 31st. I have GOT to remember to tape them for her. And yes, I said TAPE. I'm still in the dark ages here, without TiVo.

I've read that it is easier to take the Staten Island Ferry around the Statue instead of going directly to it. I'll have to see what the kids are up for. Can you still climb up her? The Natural History Zoo would be fun too. Thanks for the links.

The Americal Girl Place was amazing. We did the whole shebang, dinner, theather, pictures, doll's hair done. We walked out of there with two "Santa" bags, the staff called them. WQe were in there for hours. At least 5. Not kidding. It was amazing. Then we took a carriage ride back to 34th st station.

The dinner was so wonderful. They bring out a chari for the doll and serve the doll. So cute. Nicolas might be searching for a noose while you'all are in there though....:cool1: :cool1:

This was my favorite part! :rotfl2: Kyle gets Husband of the Year for this.

 your MIL just does not have a clue.

This was a stand alone store beside a Williams and Sonama. Not beside, or in the Victoria Secret. In fact, not even in the same leg of the mall.:goodvibes

Hmm. That's interesting. I will have to watch and see if I can spot a free standing "PINK". Not that I wear any of the stuff from that section, but now I am curious! :rotfl2: We are usually the test market for things so I am surprised. The Limited headquarters is in Ohio, so maybe the PINK stores are more in that area of the country? :confused3 Or maybe we have them in areas of new construction as opposed to the existing malls, and I just haven't seen one?

Thank you to Tia, Elin, Amy, and Vicki for the cards! And thank you to Alyssa for the rainbow thank-you note! :goodvibes

Tia - I have to tell you, our envelope was all destroyed. The sorting facility where you mailed the cards in CA must have had some issue. The card was intact, though. :thumbsup2 DH was sure it happened on our end until I told him what Jennifer said. Of course with our mail service it would be logical to assume it happened here!

DS insisited on pizza tonight, too. He is tired of ham and turkey. :rolleyes1

 your MIL just does not have a clue.

Oh, my. I couldn't breathe there for a minute. :scared1: I am so glad you both told them NO.
Too bad DH doesn't think that fast on his feet. Then maybe he would have been able to head off our uninvited guests.

so the uncles are still thinking about coming with you in Aug.

Yeah, I though it was funny. Tammi, he didn't used to be close to that assertive! I was proud of him :goodvibes:

Off to play games, though usually I'd be pretty much in bed by now :faint:

so the uncles are still thinking about coming with you in Aug.

They were the last I heard. Their travel agent (the girl at AAA who arranged our first group trip, and has since done other trips for them like their Alaska cruise) was on vacation when they called. She was due back in the office 12/22. I don't know if she hasn't had time to get back to them, or if they are pondering the choices, or if they booked and just haven't sent me the itinerary yet. Just from looking on the WDW site I was able to work out that concierge will cost them an extra $900, so maybe they won't book concierge. On the other hand, Uncle1's intense desire to NEVER be separated may eliminate any financial logic.

I have considered e-mailing Len at the UG and asking for a "duck and dodge" custom touring plan. I bet it would be wildly popular!

I'm working with my memory manager software and came across the picture of the flowers that you sent for the funeral of Chuck's dad. They were beautiful. Thank you again.

Lots of good thoughts for Susan and her husband.

Good thoughts and prayers are needed for my friend Susan. She called me Christmas Eve to say her dad is not doing well, but he is holding his own. I just got a call from another one of our nanny friends that Susan's MIL & FIL have been in a car crash in Austin, and her FIL will not survive. :sad1: Susan's DH is very close to his dad, so this is just a terrible time for them.
